Our wedding at The Avery Hotel was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its historic charm, mountain beauty, and the peaceful, welcoming energy that surrounds the property. It’s such a special DIY venue that still has nearly everything you could need for a wedding — from tables and chairs to décor pieces and beautiful spaces that make it easy to bring your vision to life while keeping it personal and unique.
Karl, the owner, was absolutely wonderful to work with. His kindness, flexibility, and genuine care made the entire experience so smooth and enjoyable. You can tell he truly loves the property and takes great pride in helping couples create unforgettable memories there.
Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how stunning and one-of-a-kind the venue was. Between the golden light at sunset, the laughter shared throughout the night, and the magic that fills the space, it was everything we hoped for and more. The Avery Hotel isn’t just a venue — it’s a place where love stories are beautifully celebrated, and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Karl and Lauren did an incredible job ensuring we had the best wedding. We did walkthroughs multiple times throughout the year taking measurements, inventory, and asking all of the questions. They have so much wedding decor to customize your day, I would take advantage of that if you're on a budget! Karl was incredibly patient and flexible regarding our requests. For the day of, we hired Lauren and her team of caterers to set up our appetizer, salad, and dessert table, bartend, and keep the place tidy for our guests and they truly crushed it! I wasn't sure what to expect since I hadn't met them before but they were all so kind and quick on their feet to make it all happen. It gave me so much peace of mind! Beyond the logistics, The Avery Hotel is a place of so much character and history. We had so much fun sharing the weekend with our friends and family and felt like we gave them a unique and fun experience all because of the venue.

The Avery Hotel is a wedding venue located in Avery, CA. This historic property was originally built in 1851 and features vintage decor throughout. For those who wish to wed amongst history, this hotel could be the ideal venue for you.
There are two outdoor ceremony spots for you to choose from. For smaller gatherings, the lawn is a fitting choice. You and your loved one can stand at the foot of an age-old tree as your guests watch on in joy. This quaint and naturalistic setting also makes for wonderful photo opportunities after your ceremony. For larger ceremonies that are also surrounded by nature, the rustic stage is the place for you. Nestled within the woods, this is a one-of-a-kind spot. Complete with rustic wooden benches, the stage makes for unique ceremonies that are sure to be remembered for years to come. Once you've tied the knot, you and your guests can make their way to the indoor bar. This comfy lounge area can transport you back in time. Here you can mingle with loved ones, sip on drinks, and take photos that will be shared with generations to come. Receptions that run long into the night can be hosted in the pavilion. There is enough room for 100 guests with table seating. Additional seating is provided for outside the pavilion.
The events staff will work closely with you throughout the day to help with setup and other tasks so that your wedding runs smoothly.
The weekend wedding package includes exclusive use of the hotel and grounds for three nights with on-site lodging for 23 guests.
The one day package includes everything in the weekend package, for 12 hours, with the exception of lodging. Bedrooms will be provided for use as dressing rooms.

. Unlimited access to the hotel and property.
. 3 nights lodging either Thursday noon to Sunday noon or Friday noon to Monday noon. (weekend package only)
. Full access to the Pavillion (enclosed or open) which can hold 100 people seated at tables.
. Lawn reception area including tables and chairs
. Stage for Wedding ceremonies or bands including bench seating for 100+.
. Outside bar attached to the hotel
. Enclosed BBQ and cooking area
. Out building for a bar or food service
. Old fashioned bar / saloon with two beer taps and a piano.
. Commercial Kitchen with a large assortment of cookware, serving items, 2 refrigerators, 2 Stoves with ovens and a commercial dishwasher.
. Billiard / lounge room
. Poker room
. Dining Room with seating for 12
. Fabric table clothes, napkins, flatware, and glasses
. 6 Private Bedrooms
. Bunk room with 2 double size bunk beds and a single bed.
. No charge for alcoholic beverages brought in with the party (the guests are responsible for providing a bartender)
. An on site manager, if requested, to help with all needs for the premises or hotel
