The Barn at Silver Oaks Estate

I've worked in this industry as a DJ for some 15 years. I've seen a good many barns. Too many use lipstick to make the barn barely clean. Not The Barn at Silver Oaks Estate. These people did it right from the start. First, there are appropriate locations for each moment: arrival, ceremony, games, cocktail, dinner, and dancing. I believe I saw three complete bars outfitted with cools; no ugly ice bins. Each space had a different feel and fitted the moment they were designed for. Each space was more than thought out; they also crafted furniture from rustic to fit the decor. Each piece is finished with cushions, polyurethane, or greyed wood. The barn also had appropriate drapery and many chandeliers to capture the mood. They even draped off the kitchen and bridal party prep area. Yes, they have a separate room for the bridal party to hang out, relax and be close to the ceremony. This room is very shabby sheek and done right. When I approached the venue manager and informed them that my contract needed some additional items, he went well beyond and ensured that my need was met. It's pros like this that bring your vendors together to work like an oiled machine. The result will be a seamless romantic wedding and an all-out party at the end. I'm delighted to find a rare gem of a barn in Southern Central Maine, nestled between some beautiful lakes. I'm looking forward to returning and creating another memorable wedding. I looked online at every barn in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut; we even toured 8! Let me tell you there are a lot of barn wedding venues, but none compare to this. From the first meeting with Gene, who owns the venue with his wife Veronica, we knew there was something different about this place. In regards to the actual facility it is the perfect place to have a wedding it is well maintained, clean, and beautiful. The entire venue is gorgeous to take pictures in with all the landscaping they do, we had our wedding in August and there were flowers everywhere. Our guests still talk about how beautiful the inside of the barn is, the chandeliers and drapes create such a romantic vibe. The outside with the fire pit and couches offer a seamless transition from inside to outside. We loved that during our wedding guests were able to hang outside when they needed a breather and do so in comfort. Gene and Veronica are so amazing. Both care so so much about their couples and want you to have exactly what you envision for your special day. You won’t just be weekend number, they really want to get to know their couples and treat you like family. My husband is military so when we first started our search we were in New England, but soon after moved to Florida. I really felt I could call either Gene or Veronica looking for advice and trust they would give me their honest answer. They both invest so much time, effort, and money into this place. From when we first saw it to when they got married they made changes to help better the venue and told us of all their progress on the way (such as adding those steps to ease in getting to the ceremony and the beautiful door so you can make your grand entrance). If you have space in your budget have Veronica be at least your day of wedding planner. SHE IS WORTH HER WEIGHT IN GOLD. I didn’t have to worry about one thing during the wedding such as was the caterer there, did the flowers get done how I wanted, she handled everything so flawlessly. You are in such great hands with Gene and Veronica, they really want your day to be as special as you do. I truly can’t rave more about this place. If I had to do it all over again I would do it all the same, with the exception of my brother in law ripping his pants seconds before the ceremony. This is a beautiful venue with owners who really care about their couples.

The Barn at Silver Oaks is a beautiful venue! And Gene and Veronica seem to always have a vision of how they want to make it even better each year. It is spacious, but still allows for an intimate feeling even if your party is small. Gene and Veronica are incredible to work with! They truly want your wedding to be everything you imagine and are happy to work with you to make that happen. They know weddings and that was certainly a confidence boost for me, knowing they have experience on their side and are able to run a smooth weekend. My husband and I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue. We felt so taken care of and had an absolutely wonderful experience here!

Absolutely stunning venue with even better owners! Gene and Veronica were so helpful, with their first priority being the couple. The Barn at Silver Oaks is a perfect place to get married and have your reception all in one! The grounds are beautiful, and their farm tables and chairs are great addition to make your wedding look amazing. You (and your guests) will be in love with this venue!
