She was AMAZING!! So very helpful explaining everything. She always was there to answer my questions, never bothered by the many that I did have. I read reviews on a lot of things, that helps me get to the decision I need to make. So if this helps you decide to go check this venue out, do it!
The day went smoothly thanks to Melissa and her team. Having the bridal sweet was a plus. It was perfect for me and my step daughter to get ready in. The back ground of the Barn was beautiful in my wedding picture's. I would host another event there for sure and would definitely recommend to others.

This land began as a settlement for Indigenous People; it was parceled as payment for service in the Revolutionary War and later settled as the homestead you see now. The main house is now a museum, which can be open for tours during your event. It stands overlooking the village of Stratford, a mill town. In the 19th century, the barn housed 75 Belgian and Percheron horses and became famed as Garth's Auctions with the original iconic stone end barn that the Stratford village would be known for. ut and instead of replacing them, they just left the hooks empty so it wasn’t as pretty as what we were told it was going to be.
If you want anything extra at all besides the literal building, everything is an upcharge. It was $3 PER chair. And on top of that, you have to pay for set up and tear down. If you want alcohol, you have to purchase your own and also it has to be within their rules.
The day of the wedding, the staff didn’t want to do much so I’m not quite sure why they were there. All they did all day was hide in the back room and if we did anything at all that they didn’t like they’d pop out to “check in and see how we’re doing”. We paid over $200 for set up and tear down and besides putting up the chairs I’m not sure what they did besides emptying the trash at the end of the night??? They didn’t help carry anything in and if we asked if they can assist they’d just stare at each other like they couldn’t believe they’d have to help.
They spelled my husband’s name wrong on our contract which just feels unprofessional considering the amount of money we spent and the fact it was our wedding day. It was spelled wrong on the contract and all the invoices and was never caught.
Again, venue is beautiful, and it seems like a great price compared to other places. But the cost racked up for every little thing needed.

We really wanted to have a whole pig roast at our wedding and we were able to have that at the Barn at Stratford, we really appreciated their flexibility to have all the special moments we wanted to incorporate into our day. My husband heritage is Vietnamese so we really wanted to have a blend of our cultures for our wedding. Melissa really went above and beyond setting up the space for us by hanging hundreds of paper lanterns throughout the reception hall - it looked incredible! I also wanted to do a slideshow of pictures of me and my dad from childhood through present during my father daughter dance and the barn has projectors so we were able to have that special moment. Although the barn building is historic, it has brand new electricity and excellent a/c which we really put to the test when our wedding day turned out to be in the 90s! There are a bunch of beautiful vistas onsite around the barn which were great for photos, especially the tree swing! We had about 150 people at our wedding which was perfect for the space, we danced all night long. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, would choose the Barn at Stratford again, and would recommend this venue!

believe that’s because of the venue and the staff at the Barn. The venue manager Melissa was absolutely phenomenal and she was the calm to my crazy. Melissa and her team were so accommodating to everything we needed. They kept things in order, if something was happening that was stressful for me—they took care of it for me, if things started going left—they steered it back to the right. I never had to worry about anything because they always had my back! The venue is beautiful, the ceremony was beautiful and the reception was beautiful. Wedding planning is supposed to stressful? Not at The Barn at Stratford. From the moment we walked in, we knew this was the place for our daughter's reception. Close to the church,...
its a short scenic drive up 315 from Liberty Presbyterian Church for the ceremony. Easy directions for those out of town guests.
The space needs no additional decorating. Linens for the tables and repurposed aisle decor for the centerpieces and the room was ready. We loved the string lights, the rustic beams, the neutral colors and vintage decor on the shelves and windowsills.
And the outdoor space? The string lights in the cocktail hour space was so dreamy and romantic for dancing under the stars on a perfect late spring evening. Many thanks to the cicadas who waiting until the following week to emerge. :) The grounds are beautiful, plenty of parking, easy access to all the spaces for any of our mobility challenged guests too.
And the staff? Well now, that's the best part! A fully staffed, well seasoned crew of positive, upbeat and helpful people surround you your entire event, from planning to completion. We were in need of suggestions for caterers after booking the venues and the comprehensive booking packet from Melissa at Stratford helped us find the perfect caterer for us.
We were able to bring in our own alcohol which saved a TON of money. We used the bartenders through our caterer but The Barn at Stratfod has bartenders to use too. That was a load off our minds as well.
I can't say enough good things about this venue. You won't be disappointed. They're worth the time to check them out! I bet you fall in love too.

rything we needed. We booked about a year out from our wedding and spent the last month planning lay out and details to make everything worked. I loved that they have some decor already up, so we really only had to worry about the tables. We used the Bridal suite to get ready and thee was plenty of room for hair-dresser, makeup artist, bride, 4 bridesmaids, two mothers, and two flower girls. The use of the whole space was really exciting, pictures all around the grounds and opening the Meeker Museum during our cocktail hour was a hit! It was all fantastic and Sara and Melissa really took care of us!

The Barn at Stratford was truly our dream venue! It is a beautiful, rustic setting both inside and out and we can't say more great things about the staff and how our big day turned...

When we first booked the venue with worked with Connie and we were sold! She was so professional and knowledgeable. A few months prior to our wedding Connie retired and we were a little nervous since we felt so comfortable with her.
We didn't need to be! The transition from Connie to Melissa and Sara was seamless! Both of them contacted us directly to introduce themselves and Melissa made sure she scheduled a time to meet with us so we could get to know her and feel confident that we would get all things Connie had discussed with us when we booked.
Melissa worked with us so that we could have access to the venue on Friday since our baker was traveling 3+ hours and even helped us find the song we wanted to walk down the aisle to on iTunes! She picked flowers from the grounds and left those and such a kind note to us in the bridal suite (which was such an amazing, comfortable place to get ready!) It was those little touches that made The Barn at Stratford more than just a lovely place to get married and elevated it to a place where we felt like we were much more than just a "customer" and instead felt truly special and cared for by the staff!
Our event went perfectly! Melissa coordinated with our photographer, DJ, and catering companies to make sure everyone was on the same page so that our day went off without a hitch.
We cannot speak more highly of the professionalism of the staff at The Barn at Stratford! And the beauty of the grounds and venue speak for themselves!
Much thanks to Melissa, Sara and the other staff who worked to make our wedding day so amazing!

th a Plan B for the ceremony in case we needed to move it inside. Luckily we did not! They helped with the ceremony by telling everyone when to walk and even held my train on my dress until it was my time to walk. The night turned out perfect beyond words and I cannot thank the Barn more for that.

er website helped us find our caterer for the big day and we could rent linens through her as well. Everyone that attended the wedding said what a beautiful venue it is and several people said that they would keep it in mind for their kids as well.

onnie was there every step of the way, when ever we had questions or concerns at any time she was able to respond promptly and professionally. Working with the staff at The Barn at Stratford was a relief compared to the other disaster of a venue. The options at the Barn at Stratford were endless; they gave us many options to stay within our budget and still maintain a great day. The venue looked amazing both inside and out. The outside area had plenty of parking for all of our guests. It had a large area for photos including a gazebo. On the same property is an old homestead that is used to give docent tours, which gave the staff time to set up for the post wedding reception. Inside of the venue is a unique flair. It is rustic yet elegant and the lighting really made the event feel charming. The vendors we hired commented on how easy it was to work with the staff. The price was below what the overall value of what was offered. The staff at The Barn at Stratford made the event an amazing lifetime memory.

It was absolutely perfect. It was so beautiful and we had plenty of space for everyone. It was just beyond perfect!
