ered every email and text message immediately. Every quirky family situation, every single issue or hiccup was responded to with a "no problem" from her. She was so sweet and easy to work with and helped us take care of literally everything. She was also super adorable. To all my future brides- you are crazy to not have a planner or a coordinator, and I am highly organized and creative and OCD. I needed Joyce so bad and she was just so perfect! She also knew all of my vendors and contacted them to confirm everything- I can't imagine anyone not being able to work with Joyce. She's wonderful and her experience sets her apart from the rest.
I have never had to fire anyone for anything - yet I had to fire Joyce Criswell. She is way past her prime for coordinating ANY event! Giving her a "one" was generous!

don't make the mistake of using her as a coordinator! Since I was planning a destination wedding for my daughter - I did not do my homework and "fell" for what appears to be a well represented website.
When the groom choose a photographer that was not on her "list of recommended vendors"... she became upset & yelled at me! (In spite of the fact that the groom is a photographer himself and was, at the time, a photo editor for 3 large social magazines in the Houston area.) Our wedding photographer has been awesome and the wedding photos are
gorgeous!
Additionally, when asking for photos of the work of the florist she was recommending (and DID NOT have on her website's preferred vendor list) she emailed photos of "his" work. I later found out from another prominent florist in that area that she had, in fact, emailed me copies of another florists work.
She also recommended a vendor from a well known frozen yogurt chain. We were going to use in this vendor, in addition to having wedding cake.
Turns out that this "individual" was lying and never had the equipment to transport the frozen yogurt to the venue in the first place. The owners of this frozen yogurt chain found out, fired the employee, and honored the contract for my daughter's wedding. They did a lovely job!
My daughter's wedding was flawless - in spite of Joyce's initial efforts to thwart our event! The best thing I did was get rid of Joyce and hire REAL wedding coordinators.
If you are planning a destination wedding...DO YOUR HOMEWORK and research your vendors!
