The Delanie Venue

ppalled ! Our experience with The Delanie was truly heartbreaking. In the beginning, they come across as so sweet, loving but by the end, that image completely falls apart. What should have been a joyful, once-in-a-lifetime experience turned into unnecessary stress and tears days before our wedding.The way Chad (the owner) treated us in the final stages is manipulative and hurtful ,completely unprofessional and passive aggressive behavior. A day before my our wedding , I received a call from Owner Chad , mentioning that he was taking a look our timeline (why was he looking at it a day before ) and mentioned his concerns about our shot cart . He starts off the conversation calm, which then went from 0 to 100 . He started to yell at me by raising his voice at me like if I was a 5 year old getting in trouble . I was in tears in front of a big crowd at the grocery store . I mentioned to him how no where in the contact did it state this concern of his . At this point he is raising his voice higher and higher and my husband looks at me crying and hears the commotion through the phone since he was standing next to me . He takes over the phone call and Chad immediately changes his tone of voice . At this point we are DREADING our rehearsal that afternoon because what was supposed to be a happy moment, turned into a very uncomfortable one . Our rehearsal was from 6-7pm and I made sure our bridal party arrived at 5:30pm because forney always has so much traffic . Prior to this I made sure to ask Delanie if it was okay if we arrived earlier to drop off our things and she said that was okay ( I have this in writing ) . We made sure to start rehearsal at 6pm because at this point we just wanted to avoid any more issues. The owner Chad walks in and has this grin on his face the entire time and makes a smart remark “Delanie did tell you rehearsal was at 6 correct?” And I said “yes sir she did but she also allowed us to get here earlier to drop off things “ we made sure we didn’t start rehearsal until 6” he then replies with I just want you to know y’all have been here since 5:30 with that grin on his face . After rehearsal we were outside , as he is “apologizing“ for raising his voice earlier, he has this grin on his face and apologizes to me for the way he spoke to me earlier and made it about himself saying that HE has been stressed . It did not feel genuine at all ! At this point I told him that I was willing to just get rid of the short cart to avoid any more stress , I told him I would hate to be an inconvenience ,even though no where in our contract did it state that we couldn’t. He then acts like , noooo I think you guys should have it , I think it’s such a fun idea . My brain couldn’t even grasp onto what was happening . He literally called me a day before our wedding , making this a HUGE deal about this short cart , raising his voice , making me cry and giving me unnecessary stress , all for him to act like it was no issue. The thing that really made me realize this venue was not professional at all was when we requested a different day of lead for the venue , we saw all the bad reviews of Sarah . In your contract it states that the will provide one staff member on site to make sure regarding anything with the venue is taking care of . I guess they decided since I didn’t want to use Sarah , they just didn’t appoint me to anyone different . Which I thought was very unprofessional on their part . It felt like they were being spiteful. Not to mention they gave my wedding coordinator the WORST time , not trying to be helpful at all , giving her passive aggressive remarks throughout the whole day . If you’re planning your wedding, please do your research and save yourself the heartbreak. This venue is not what it pretends to be. Again this was our experience .

pposed to ensure everything went smoothly, instead made us feel uncomfortable and discriminated against. During a special moment when the couple was digging up their bottle, Sarah rudely interrupted to discuss timing details that could have waited. This lack of respect was upsetting. Additionally, the couple was initially told they could have a cocktail hour at 1 PM, then later told it had to be at 3 PM, causing confusion and stress. We had an early mass and many out-of-town guests with nowhere to go during that time. On the wedding day, Sarah was standing outside telling guests they had to wait in their cars until 5 PM — despite being previously told the cocktail hour would start at 3 PM. To make matters worse, Sarah was very rude to my mother-in-law, saying, "Great, it’s you again," when she arrived. This only added to an already disappointing experience. We expected professionalism and kindness but were met with the opposite. Very bad service , I will not be recommending this venue to any of my friends or family members with upcoming events!!
