The venue itself is beautiful, and the affordable price was a big selling point for us. Visually, it was everything we hoped for, and we were excited to celebrate our wedding there.... Unfortunately, the staff experience was TERRIBLE and made the planning process incredibly stressful and disappointing.
Communication was the biggest issue. I had to follow up repeatedly with both the host (Paquita) and the owner (Nathan) just to get basic responses. One of our biggest frustrations was that we weren't able to have our rehearsal at the venue. My coordinator and I reached out multiple times to request a time, and Paquita didn’t respond until later, only to say the space had been booked and was no longer available. She offered us a 7 a.m. rehearsal the day of the wedding—which clearly wasn’t a viable option, since we weren’t supposed to see each other before the ceremony.
When it came time for the walkthrough, Paquita didn’t show up and didn’t let us know ahead of time. Instead, she sent a staff member who clearly had no knowledge of our event and wasn’t able to help us prepare. This left us feeling very unprepared and unsupported.
The day of the wedding, the staff who were supposed to be onsite and helpful were, unfortunately, anything but. They were disengaged, didn’t fulfill the roles they were supposed to, and added no value to the day. We ended up relying heavily on our coordinator and friends/family to fill in the gaps.
I’m giving the venue two stars: one for its beauty and one for its price. But I wouldn’t book here again or recommend it to others unless the management drastically improves their communication and professionalism. The difference between what they presented and what we actually received was deeply disappointing.
