My husband and I had our wedding at the Lace House on 3/19/2022 and could not have been more pleased with our experience. It was truly the best day of our lives and it could not have happened without the experienced staff from the Lace House. We had our ceremony in the Wedding Garden and our Reception on the Mansion Mall. The Lace House was a perfect venue for the rehearsal dinner for our son and his fiancée the evening before the wedding --which was also held at The Lace House. By having the rehearsal dinner there, our guests were able to experience all the beauty of the house and gardens. The staff was very professional AND friendly and very accommodating to our needs. They went out of their way to make sure that the rehearsal dinner would be perfect. We still have guests from both the rehearsal dinner and wedding raving about The Lace House!

ZWe had a wonderful experience with Sarah Truel and the team at The Lace House. We live out of state and Sarah worked with us on arranging multiple site visits while we were in town and rearranging our plans due to the pandemic. We loved the venue itself for the timelessly gorgeous home & gardens (making photos beautiful!) and we were able to avoid travel and stress for us and our guests as we were able to all get ready at the house , have our ceremony in the beautiful wedding garden, and our reception on the mansion mall! The Lace House is absolutely stunning. My husband and I had no intention of getting married in Columbia, SC. I saw the Lace House pop up on Venues but it wasn't particularly close in distance to us (1.5 hours). I decided to make a visit to take a look since it kept popping up. We walked into the house and went into the "cake room" and it was a done deal. I looked at my then fiancé and my parents and said "yall this it!" It is so gorgeous and the gardens are unreal! We planned on a spring wedding garden ceremony in April, but due to covid it got moved to Aug. Lace house was fantastic about helping us find a new date and worked with us to make sure it went smoothly. I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else !

The Lace House was an exceptional venue for our wedding. We used the Memorial Garden for our ceremony and The Mall for our reception. We had to change dates twice due to Covid-19 and they were able to accommodate us without question. The facility was immaculate and the staff were very attentive to our needs. This was a perfect venue for our special day.

I would highly recommend the Lace House. Our wedding was one of the many that was affected by covid in 2020. We started planning in 2019 and we finally were able have our way in 2021. The Lace House staff went above and beyond during the ENTIRE process. They kept in touch the entire time and checked in on us. They were super supportive especially when it came to actually having to postpone. This staff actually cares about the people who are renting from them. I cannot say enough good things about our experience it was all amazing! The day of they were beyond helpful with setting up and even when they saw people dressed up they complimented you. The support was amazing.

This is the best wedding venue you’ll find in South Carolina! We got married in April and the flowers were in full bloom. Amazing atmosphere and great team!

Sarah gave me a FaceTime “tour” of the grounds and mansion, suggested local vendors, and Brittany was instrumental in helping us plan the actual ceremony. The day-of was expertly handled by Leah with both enthusiasm and calm, from greeting and organizing the vendors, to checking on me and keeping me informed as I was getting ready. The bride and groom rooms were exquisitely appointed. We had a beautiful ceremony and we truly enjoyed each moment because we didn’t have to worry about the details. The Lace House is the most beautiful wedding venue had ever seen and having my wedding there was a dream come true. The gardens are beautiful and photos don't do it justice to show how expansive and beautiful they are. Everyone worked with was so lovely and answered any and all questions had. The getting ready spaces were so perfect and loved using as many spaces of the property as could. The side patio for dancing is so nmagical and the wedding garden is stunning for a ceremony. Our mansion mall dinner was absolutely gorgeous and there is so much space to make it your own. Everything was stunningly beautiful for our wedding day. We were married on the Mansion Mall in front of the fountain, took beautiful photos in the gardens, and fellowshipped at the house. Sarah, Brittany, and the entire Lace House team made sure everything was perfect for our day!

I honestly wish I could rate them more than 5 stars. Coming from a wedding planner, this venue was a DREAM to work at!!! The property absolutely speaks for itself - there are so many different options for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces, each stunning! I love that they include tables and chairs, as this is always a nice cost saver for my clients. The best part about the venue in my opinion though is the staff. Leah and Sarah and Aubrey are just the kindest people, and they love what they do and love their clients. They pitched in on tasks that weren't their responsibility, constantly asked me what they could help my team with, were very flexible with letting us do some of the setup early and bring in decor items early, brought us waters while we were working, printed a document that I had left behind at the hotel, and so much more. I know it may sound silly, but all of the things that they did to lend a hand and go above and beyond and genuinely care about the wedding guests AND vendors was just so appreciated. I am based out of Charleston, so this was my first time working with this venue. Their team answered my hundreds of questions with patience (ha!), and had great advice for my couple and I throughout the planning process. This property and this team are INCREDIBLE.

The Lace House was a perfect venue for our daughter and son in law’s wedding! It was beautiful, the staff was very helpful and they were right there with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend the Lace House for any event! The gardens are beautiful the mansion mall with the fountain is gorgeous! The house is gorgeous! I could go on and on!

I got married on February 1, 2020 and the Lace House was the PERFECT venue! For starters, the staff is so easy to work with! Communication is so important to me and they were always easy to get in touch with and always very accommodating . The grooms suite was perfect for what the guys needed. The bridal suite was every the girls needed and then some! We used the front room for food and drink set up, there's a huge closet for everyone to put their stuff, a room for hair and makeup, and then another bedroom that was perfect for dressing pictures that opens up to a porch. The venue itself is so beautiful! We had a large crowd and we had plenty of space in the side area for our interactive band and a bar area in the side garden. Having it in February, the inside was perfect for another bar, cocktail hour, and all the food. Lets not forget the house is such an amazing backdrop for the exit. I can not brag on the Lace House and the staff there enough!

The Lace House made my wedding day even more amazing than I thought it could be. Sarah, Leah, and Jodi were absolutely incredible. I didn't feel the need to stress about anything - everything was taken care of. The bridal suite is HUGE - beyond enough space for my bridal party of 8 to get ready with an accessible balcony porch for some fresh air. If you want a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding photos, this place is where it's at. Beautifully maintained house and gardens. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue.

The Lace House was the PERFECT location to have our wedding. Not only are the house and gardens beautifully maintained, but the staff is incredible. There was never a moment during the day/night that I felt things would not work out perfectly. The Lace House made my entire wedding day incredible. Everything from the planning process, to set up the day before, to the actual day of went so smoothly thanks to their above and beyond staff. The day of the wedding, they checked in regularly, got us anything we needed and answered all of our questions. They coordinated with our vendors which helped take stress off of my shoulders. The Lace House was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. It’s such a beautiful and romantic space with so much history and elegance. We had a New Orleans themed wedding and The Lace House fit it perfectly. It truly looks like a home straight out of the French Quarter. The staff was so friendly and accommodating from start to finish. They were always so attentive to us throughout our journey and made our experience there an amazing one that we will forever cherish! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the staff at The Lace House. First, the venue itself is absolutely breath-taking. I live in Maryland and traveled a few times to take it all in. The gardens are so serene, lush, and well taken care of. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. The staff at The Lace House was amazing from our very first interaction, to my final good-byes. I worked with Sarah and I always enjoyed talking with her. She had so many ideas, recommendations, suggestions, anything you can think of she was on it. She was easy to talk to and so understanding during a time of complete chaos in my mind. She was always prompt and available for e-mails, and sent so many photos to give me a better idea of the space; since I was a long distance bride. Getting ready at The Lace House was great as well. There was a ton of space for my finance and I to comfortably get dressed for the big day. The staff was there to make sure everything went smoothly. Also, the staff made sure my bridesmaids and I had a list of places to order from while getting ready for the ceremony. They were on top of every detail imaginable. The usage of space at The Lace House is amazing too! Looking at the pictures, it's definitely possible to personalize your wedding to fit not only your personality, but your guest as well. I was impressed by how grand and intimate of a ceremony and reception you can have at one location. That's a rare find these days. Overall, I was and am still gushing over our big day. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have such precious and sentimental memories tied to this place. I can definitely see myself coming back to gush over the memories made. I want to give a HUGE shout-out to everyone at The Lace House, and a BIG THANK YOU to Sarah for making sure everything exceeded my expectations.

So so beautiful all around, every person that works here is so kind, always wearing a smile and caters to the bride, groom and family with love. The venue is amazing on its own, doesn’t require much decor- which is always a plus. I recommend.

This venue was so beautiful for our July wedding! The staff is really helpful with the planning process, and answers emails and phone calls quickly. We had a beautiful ceremony in the Wedding Garden which hardly needs additional decor because it is so stunning! The majority of the property is shaded for hot weddings and there was plenty of room in the house for our ~120 guests. The bridal and grooms suites are large and accommodating to large wedding parties and having hair and makeup done on site. Most importantly, The Lace House provided us with so many stunning photo opportunities! Guests were so complimentary of how beautiful the venue is as well. We would certainly recommend The Lace House to anyone looking for an indoor/outdoor wedding venue.

The Lace House was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding. I cannot imagine any place more beautiful more a wedding ceremony than the Lace House Gardens. The house was a great place for the reception with tons of space and classic charm. The only down side is that there are so many beautiful areas that I wanted to spend the whole day taking photos! All of the Lace House staff was extremely helpful and accommodating through the planning process and the day of. I would absolutely recommend The Lace House to anybody looking for a wedding venue.

Literally they made our dream wedding come to life! They were so helpful and so flexible in so many ways and worked with us knowing we were from out of town. I can't thank them enough for making things that could have been a headache so much easier. I was in the event business at one point in my life so I was pretty specific on a lot of things but there were still things I was forgetting and they emailed me beforehand trying to iron out the details so the little things would not be missed. They also helped explain who was responsible for what and gave us very good recommendations. Literally everything was perfection! The only one thing I'd say that happened was that during the day of the wedding there wasn't a back up person on site when our main lace house contact went on lunch. Everything was completely fine because I had their cell numbers but it also had to do with the fact that my wedding planner sent people on her behalf to be there instead of herself so it really wasn't a big deal at all! Brittany, Sarah & Karen we can' thank you enough for absolutely everything. I will recommend you to every bride I know!

Columbia brides are lucky to have so many beautiful venues in the area- but the Lace House in my opinion is the best! The on site gardens and natural beauty of the grounds make you feel like you’re in a fairy tale. The beauty of the home requires minimal decor and it is a beautiful backdrop for a wedding. My husband and I were married here in November and it was perfect. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with the Lace House, I will always treasure our special night here.

The Lace House was an elegant location to host a wedding. It is the best of the best with a large southern style home and manicured gardens. They had all the supplies we needed, all we had to do was decorate and supply food. The staff was organized, accommodating and easy to work with.

We had our wedding at the Lace House because it was gorgeous and functional. There are different ways to have the ceremony with different locations within the property. We made the wedding our way, outside, but had contingency plans for inside if it rained.

The Lace House is the perfect place for a wedding. The house is gorgeous and the grounds are impeccable and unrivaled. We had 70 guests and felt we had plenty of room. We started with pictures first. It was very easy getting a photographer because they like to use the gardens and fountain for some truly spectacular photographs. The wedding ceremony was out on the patio followed by a light reception on the first floor which your guest will rave about its splendor. We had everyone dancing on the patio under twinkle lights with the sparkler sendoff on the mall. You have the entire house from 9 am to 11 pm. Karen and her team are great communicators and will work with you to give you the wedding you want.

This place is perfect if you want a classic venue with southern charm. There are so many different options for both the wedding and reception.. multiple gardens, the gorgeous mansion mall with a huge fountain, and the house. There is a bridal suite and a grooms area. The bridal suite is super spacious and has plenty of room for getting ready and doing hair/makeup. Everyone was easy to work with and very helpful!

Karen, Sarah and Brooke at The Lace House were so helpful in securing and planning the big day, we can’t thank them enough! The gardens and the house were gorgeous, and apart from my beautiful bride, were the highlight of the ceremony. Everyone commented on how gorgeous and stunning the house was. Unfortunately, there was some rain during our big day, but the house was so open and welcoming, it was no issue whatsoever to have the reception indoors. It made for such a memorable and magical day, we can’t explain how special the house has become in our lives. And with the helpful and friendly staff, The Lace House was the perfect venue for us.

Our April 13th wedding was just wonderful. From the time we booked The Lace House Karen was such a joy. Karen did not every hesitate to ensure we were completely satisfied. The house worked perfect for our setup and timeline of the day. One of the things I loved most about the house was the spacious suites. The bridal suite and grooms room were so awesome. They allowed for my husband and I to get ready and spend time without our party without having to worry about seeing each other. I would highly recommend booking your wedding here! Or reception, the space is just lovely.

Everything about the lace House is a dream. The setting offers the versatility that we wanted for our wedding day. It was important for us to get ready, have the ceremony and reception all in one place . The lace House allowed for a beautiful setting to do all three of those things and have beautiful pictures and backgrounds as we did so. The staff are so accommodating and do their best to meet your needs ! There were several times that they made time provisions to accommodate me since I was an out of town bride. Our guests are still raving over the lovely grounds of the lace House. It is a stunning, southern vintage dream come true !

I can't begin to say how awesome Karen and her team are! Our April 22 wedding was moved to the Lace House at the last minute. Within a month, my mom and I totally re-planned an entirely different wedding than what we'd been working on for the previous year... and neither of us live in Columbia. Karen was full of recommendations, accommodations, and made sure we were able to pull it off with the least amount of stress possible. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, the use of all rooms of the house provided the perfect backdrop and space we needed to spread out, relax, and ENJOY every second of our day. We were given the flexibility to make the space ours - from the lighting to the decor, the set up - everything! We were even graced by the Governor, who stopped by shortly before the wedding to give his well wishes. The Lace House will always be near and dear to our hearts.

I held my wedding reception at the Lace House on August 18th 2017 and it was beautiful! Karen was super easy to work with and made everything a breeze! They are extremely accommodating and do everything they can to make your big day spectacular! I love the look of the house and how you can utilize the space inside and outside of it. The Lace House was the first venue I looked at in person and was easily my first choice. I highly recommend it to brides looking for an indoor-outdoor venue for their wedding with a beautiful look and rich history!
