it was not the “highest level” package, I cannot imagine anything else that could be added to our wedding; every detail was attended to and we felt very special. Individual vendors through our chosen package were: Bride & Bloom florist, photographer Heidi Borden, Cakes by Paula, Chef Michael catering, live acoustic music and DJ American Robb, and wedding planner extraordinaire Elizabeth Mize. We cannot say enough positive things about all of these people who are absolutely outstanding. 

mework when selecting and using the vendors at this venue. You are given a day of the wedding coordinator but I really stress picking your own planner and coordinator. I cannot express the amount of times we were asked for tip outs from the planner and even given a list of what we should tip. It was to the point at the wedding that my husband told her not to ask him again. Getting maps and floors plans for our florist had to be an entire visit on our own to the venue, and when we originally asked we were sent a chicken scratch drawing over text. On the day of the wedding we were asked several questions over and over on things that should have been organized prior including who was who as far as family. We were told when we selected the venue that there were outside fans in case of hotter weather. We asked several times for the fans to be on that day including the photographer to turn on the fans and no one even attempted. It was 85 degrees, no airflow and my husband was beaming sweat down his face the entire time including photos. When planning payments. This was not discussed at anytime until our final payment was due. You will be expected to feed all vendors including bartenders and security the day of the wedding which added 250$ on to our bill. We added a coffee bar and paid extra for this and guest were refused and told to wait till six pm to have coffee. The water station was not filled and guest were only left with the option to purchase 4$ water bottles from the bar. The cake that was part of the package was not impressive. The lady was short and not friendly, giving boxed cake and canned icing as our taster. We chose our own vendor and it was absolutely amazing. The DJ American Rob was fantastic and part of the vendor package we chose! He was super nice, giving us an app to organize and plan music. The Photo Booth he supplied was wonderful! We selected all the pretty things for our floral and they were absolutely amazing with unique florals at a great price. This was not part of our package. When selecting a bar, if I could redo the vendor I would. We selected Frannys that was given with the package and I suggest calling them directly. The downside and disappointment was there was supposed to be prices shown to guest due to our bar turning into a cash bar after a designated amount was spent from us. None of our wedding party was included or even got a drink on the first 500$ we placed so when we finally sat down we were asked to give them a card to start a tab. At that part of your reception you want to have a drink and celebrate after we had to sweat outside.The bar only served beer until dinner and we were unaware of this until the day of. We had many guest waiting till dinner that didn’t even drink beer. Many comments and remarks were made to the guest who were only buying cokes. Our neighbors and many guest told us after the wedding that they were hounded about drinks. They supply a security guard who made several rude remarks to guest. Following around the wedding party if they went upstairs and making remarks to a grooms 2 year old child who was sitting on his scooter with his mother outside. Chef Michael was a choice as a vendor and we were very happy with his service and everyone loved the food and his portions. Highly recommend!

Elizabeth is the worst coordinator you could ever have; uncaring and unprofessional, Chef Michael is a thief who stole our money and the food after our wedding. The venue will unfortunately allow these two vendors to take advantage of you, and continue endorsing them to clients. I’m so disappointed in how everything was handled.

he Lodge). My then fiancée and I chose to go with a renaissance themed wedding and struggled to find something that would fit that aesthetic, but when found The Lodge, we knew it was perfect. The venue has this beautifully rustic atmosphere that in no way lacks being able to deliver gorgeous lighting and audio for music and speeches. It was such a delight to walk in to the venue for the first time and see all of our decorations in place. Everything was so tasteful and elegant, and all of it was elevated by the lovely wooden walls and ceiling. There are two dressing rooms, one for the men and one for women. The men's is quite simple, a small room, but enough to do the job. The women's however is lovely, walking into it, you'd think it's a full on boutique, and I'm so glad that my bride was able to get ready in such a great space. The ceremonial area was one of the highlights for me, it's still on the same property but one would be forgiven for walking past it and not even know it was there. It has this magical 'hidden away' feeling to it. The lush greenery that surround the little path that leads you to the area is just so special. And as Bride and Groom you get to walk through arches of leaves and its just so beautiful. It was such a memorable spot. P.S. There is a little rooster that can be heard in the distance, and it was really cute. The owners of the venue were so very sweet, and helped us to wrap our heads around all the technical stuff, and as changes happened during planning (which they will) they were more than accommodating to said changes. They have packages that can be purchased and took a lot of weight off of our shoulders and made our lives so much easier. Last note, the staff operating the bar as well as security were so much fun! They even joined in dancing during the reception which means they're basically apart of the family now. We highly recommend The Lodge if you are looking for just a gorgeous venue that needs minimal decorations to be absolutely stunning, with a great staff, and even greater vibes!

day, and our day of coordinator was terrific. The vendors were prompt and professional. The indoor site and balcony were great, and they worked with me to have tables and chairs utilized the way I needed and wanted. The outdoor ceremony site is very nice, though the vines on the arch were dead due to it being winter, and it was not cleaned enough in my opinion. What caused me any stress at all was trying to communicate to the venue about various things, and some things were lacking. For example, I know we asked that there be a white cloth draped on our arbor decor, and on the day of, there wasn't one. There was difficulty contacting the venue during the planning process. If we needed to make changes or get information overall. I often had to ask about several smaller details that could have been discussed during our few meetings, if there had been forethought to make note. Brides are typically first-time brides, and it would be helpful to have everything from furniture to coffee cups listed for discussion. I often found things I needed to purchase/figure out too close to the wedding, but just in time because I was going over this wedding as best I could. Overall, we loved having our big day at the Lodge, and they gave me the freedom to decorate and have fun without a theme, and for that and the great service, we are grateful. My advice is to make sure you consider every little thing that entails a wedding and make sure you discuss it with the Lodge.

It has such natural beauty - so many guests commented on the details & layout! I’m so grateful for this place & everyone involved in our wedding day! I highly recommend the Lodge, it allowed for a stress free beautiful day💓

ough that few decorations need to be added. Be careful when booking a package. My mom and I both thought that we could choose off the preferred vendor list, but that was not the case. A wedding planner was assigned to us and she chose the vendors we had to use. The DJ that was booked for us was not able to come up with our first dance song, which was chosen in advance, even though many wedding guests were able to pull it up on their phones right away. The bartending company we were assigned was hard to get in touch with. They were not knowledgeable about drink making and they had us purchase about 4 times more alcohol than needed. It seemed like a lot when we were purchasing it, but I assumed they should know how much would be needed since that is their job. The caterer they chose was not really what we were looking for, but was decent. The bakery assigned to make the cake only had four flavors to choose from. Overall, Amy the wedding planner was very helpful and tried her best to make things go smoothly, and for the most part it did.

ous, unique, and beautiful and that is exactly what this place is. Everything on my wedding day went so smooth and that had a lot to do with how incredible the staff is. They were on top of everything and it made such an impact. Prior to the wedding they were really easy to communicate with which is so helpful. Katie is incredible! She made everything so easy and smooth. I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone!

but it was everything I could’ve dreamed of. Katie (manager) and Elizabeth with EM Events (our wedding coordinator) went so far above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They could not have done anything better if they’d tried their hardest. A thousand thank you’s to the two women who made all our dreams come true for our wedding day.

The owner (Katie & Family) are absolutely the most kind and genuine people that we came across during the entire wedding process. We are truly grateful to have had this beautiful venue, and their event assistant Brianna, who was absolutely amazing as well. With the combined beautiful space and amazing support from Brianna the day of our wedding, it was a recipe for success and happiness for us :)

When we originally booked the ceremony site’s landscaping was still being worked on, the cross that we used in the wedding wasn’t made yet, the decor pieces were not there yet, the parking lot was still being extended, and there were not near as many farm tables as there were at the time of our wedding. Katie promised us that some of these would be done, the others were just added bonuses, and she kept her promises and more! The Lodge was the perfect venue for us!

ision the space and after months of constant updating and visiting, the venue is much much more than just a venue to me. It is a place that I saw blossom before my eyes and where I had one of the happiest moments of my life. I owe my entire wedding to Katie, she was there for me through it all and if it wasn’t for her, my dream come true wouldn’t have happened! The Lodge at Mound Creek isn’t just a wedding venue, but it has so much character and story behind it. My husband and I will cherish the venue and the people who own and manage it FOREVER ❤️
