I cannot say enough good things about The Makeup Loft. Everything about them is absolute perfection and professional. From the first moment I was in touch Allie was so easy to work with. Amanda did my makeup and Mallory did my hair and they are both so incredibly talented and kind. All of my bridesmaids were VERY happy with their hair and makeup, and my mom, who is over 70 felt so happy and confident with the way she looked. I will be recommending them to anyone and everyone going forward. Also, both the makeup and hair stayed perfectly all day! They also told me they do private party events/classes and I will definitely be in touch to schedule that as well. Like I said I cannot recommend them enough. Absolutely AMAZING work! Thank you ladies so much!

I found this vendor through my venue and I'm so glad I went with them. They were super professional and expedient with the hair and makeup process, all without making you feel rushed. The artists we had were super friendly and made the getting ready process super seamless. If I ever have another big event in the future, I definitely know where to go for a beautiful makeover.

The Makeup Loft was by far the best most professional vendor I worked with for my wedding. They always responded quickly to questions and emails. They were on time for the morning of and even finished me and the girls earlier than we had scheduled! Absolutely perfect plus my makeup and hair lasted allllll day! If you’re questioning on booking with them just do it I promise it’s worth it. Pricing wise, very very reasonable for the quality you’re getting if you go any cheaper than them it will most likely look like trash or there’s something else behind it. Plus I never did a trial and everything came out exactly how I wanted :))

The Makeup Loft was incredible!! Communication was outstanding. They were professional, helpful, and so kind. The bridal trial went so well. I provided a few photos of what I was hoping for, and they brought the vision to life. I wanted to change a couple small things about my look after the trial and they were so easy and accommodating to make those changes happen day-of. Everyone’s hair and makeup looked soo good. We could not be happier with The Makeup Loft and highly recommend them!!

The Makeup Loft was the perfect hair and makeup spot for me. My bridal party all wanted very natural looks (no one wears much, if any, makeup) and that was definitely achieved. Everyone was so nice as well. I did a makeup trial and I'm glad I did, although I didn't change anything that they did in the trial.

I absolutely loved everything about the way I looked on my wedding day - Jackie and Mia were amazing and everyone looked incredible! I hardly ever wear makeup and Mia was able to make me feel so glamorous without looking over the top or feeling like I had a million layers of makeup on. They were on time and efficient and got all the bridesmaids done with time to spare. I was hesitant to pay extra for a trial before hand, but I'm glad I did because I knew exactly what to expect the day of, and Jackie helped me decide what hair piece to wear. I didn't end up wanting to change a thing!

Taylor and Jackie are amazing! They both did my trial run and they brought my inspiration to life and gave me the perfect look, better than I thought. The day of the wedding they met me, the bridal party and mother-in-law at the hotel. And they nailed it again! The makeup was perfect for everyone with what they wanted. And the hairstyle they all picked, all turned out beautifully. And of course, they crushed mine again and I felt absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend both!

Highly recommend The Makeup Loft for you and your bridal party’s hair and makeup! Mia did an amazing job listening to my requests and executing my makeup for my engagement pictures, the trial, and my wedding! Elise did a stunning job on my hair! I can’t say enough how wonderful these ladies were. My hair stylist was incredibly patient and went through multiple variations of styles with me before we finally ended on one. My makeup artist did an amazing job on myself and the 8 other ladies that had the pleasure of her service. Overall, they did wonderfully and it’s reasonably priced! (The hair extensions are pretty costly but it’s optional so I can’t complain!)

The Makeup Loft was amazing! All of the girls were so sweet and did such a good job with hair and makeup. I had my makeup done by Taylor and she was incredible. She did a great job during my trial and even made changes based on my requests but also things she realized could be better, which I so appreciated because she is the expert. I loved my makeup on the day of and it lasted all day long (from 8am to midnight- impressive!). Also, special shoutout to Allie for always making sure communication is clear- makes the whole process that much better especially when planning a wedding. Highly recommend the makeup loft for anyone looking for a hair/makeup vendor in Michigan!

We used The Makeup Loft for our wedding day and they were amazing! They were extremely accommodating when a few of my bridesmaids changed their minds, they allowed me to have a few trials to get the look that I was envisioning, and my wedding day look was literally picture perfect. I had sort of a difficult-to-achieve hairstyle and they absolutely killed it. Same with my makeup, and all my bridesmaids looks as well. I do not get my makeup done often and when I do, I usually don't love it but I could not find a single thing to improve when they were finished. Seriously such a great team of girls and so talented. They were timely on the day of, accommodating, friendly, positive, etc etc etc.

AMAZING!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about The Makeup Loft. They put so much thought and effort into making sure I felt perfect and beautiful on my wedding day. The hair and makeup artists made recommendations on what I could do to make sure my hair and skin looked its best for my wedding day. Rachel & Megan were so professional, timely & fun to work with, making the wedding day morning comfortable and fun. Rachel was sure to confirm with me multiple times that I was happy with my hair and made all the tweaks I requested since I couldn't make up my mind and it turned out absolutely perfect! HAIR: Hailey was awesome. She was able to do any type of hairstyle and made all of our girls happy with their selections. I chose something a little different from what I am used to, and I am SO happy that I did. The "messy" braid with baby breath flowers was so perfect for a hot and humid day and it stayed ALL night. I have never gotten so many compliments! Thank you, Hailey! MAKEUP: Amanda was simply AMAZING. She showed up right on time and was ready to go. She was so calm and bubbly. She got every girl done on time and turned all of us into our most beautiful selves. I plan on booking a 1:1 with Amanda to learn how to use makeup because I have never felt more pretty in my life. The Makeup Loft is nothing short of amazing! I used them for hair and makeup services for my wedding. The trial was worth it, I was able to make notes of things to tweak for the day of. They listened to my feedback and it turned out even better than the trial! Megan takes her time with makeup to ensure it’s perfect, and my makeup legitimately lasted all day long. It did not ever feel oily, and stayed in tact through my many tears! I didn’t even feel the need to reapply lipstick or use blotting wipes. Ashley is so talented with hair! She is very up to date on modern trends and is extremely efficient. My hair was secure all day and was exactly what I wanted. She is so sweet and personable, and helped keep me calm on my wedding morning. All of our hair and makeup lasted all day and was exactly what we all wanted. Not to mention, their services are very reasonably priced. You cannot go wrong with The Makeup Loft!

The ladies at The Make Up Loft know what they’re doing! I picked them out after seeing other clients with freckles on their Instagram, and they didn’t disappoint. I had my hair and make up trial with Hailey who did an excellent job, I loved how the eyelashes looked, loved my face make up, and had the perfect lip color. The day of I had Jalyn, not only was my bridal hair and make up everything I could dream of, but all 9 of my bridesmaids looked stunning as well. Everyone was very happy with the results. They were quick, professional, and nice to be around.

I wanted to share how fantastic The Makeup Loft was for my wedding! From the get-go, they were incredibly easy and fun to work with. They were always so prompt and helpful in their email responses. On the wedding day, their team arrived right on time and brought such great energy. I had 9 bridesmaids and 2 mothers, and they brought 2 ladies for hair and 2 for makeup. We ended up getting done a smidge early and that helped set the tone for the rest of the day. I was never stressed or anxious about time because I knew we were starting ahead of schedule, thanks to their incredible team. The makeup was a beautiful "enhanced natural" look, which is exactly what I was looking for. I had Taylor for makeup and she was absolutely wonderful! She had such positive energy and was open to my feedback and suggestions. I had Jackie for hair. She was amazing for being so flexible with my indecisiveness (I ended up going with a different style on my wedding day than my trial). Both hair and makeup stayed perfect all day, even through all the dancing and celebrating! If you’re looking for a hair and makeup team that’s not only super talented but also a joy to work with, I can’t recommend The Makeup Loft enough.

From beginning to end the makeup loft was lovely to work with. Mia traveled to us and did our makeup on July 13, 2024. Mia is a stunning person inside and out, and many of us commented on her bubbly and inviting energy. She truly made our day that much better!! Mia was punctual, efficient, and so very kind. We were so happy with The Makeup Loft! We hired them for bridal party hair and makeup, and they traveled to our hotel in Ann Arbor. The stylists who came were super nice, and most importantly, on time! :) I don't get professional makeup done often, so one thing I was worried about was not looking like myself, or the stylist taking the inspiration too literally and not adapting the inspiration to suit my face shape/skin tone/etc. However, I was super impressed with both artists, who really took everyone's vision and brought it to life on each person as an individual. I still looked and felt like myself, but just super glam! :) My bridal party had many different skin tones and hair textures, and everyone's final look turned out great!!! Overall, I would absolutely recommend The Makeup Loft to brides!

They were so amazing!!! I loved my hair (done by Allie) and makeup (done by Jayln) that they did for the wedding. They listened exactly to what I was looking for and were able to do it even better than I imagined! My bridesmaids and both mothers also loved their hair and the ones who got their makeup done were so happy. I had a big bridal party and they were able to get everyone done and do touch ups no problem. They were great working with me during my trials as well and were so great about letting me to a redo when my makeup wasn't quite what I wanted the first time. Jayln really was amazing, she was able to take a vague description of what I wanted my makeup to look like and made it a reality. They helped me set up my skin to look great on my wedding day and highly suggest doing facials with them a few months before to have THE BEST skin. They also helped me find products that would work with my skin that also wouldn't break the bank. They really invest in giving you the best look on your most perfect day. 10 out of 10 recommend them!!!!

I could not have asked for a better hair and makeup team for my wedding! Taylor, Jackie, and Megan were so sweet. They took on 9 of us, and were so professional and efficient. They took into account all of our inspo photos and any concerns we had. My mom never wears makeup, and was very nervous. Taylor made her feel so comfortable. She looked absolutely stunning. My young nieces were so excited to have their hair and makeup done. Megan did such a fantastic job with them. My bridesmaids and I loved everything about our looks. I had a great experience with The Makeup Loft for my wedding! They provided on-site hair and makeup services for myself and the 3 ladies in my bridal party. They provided hair services for my mom too! They arrived timely and finished within the expected time window (with some time to spare!) which was perfect for our wedding day agenda. It was nice having the opportunity to book a trial run and have the same stylists for my trial as my wedding day. I had Jalyn for makeup services and Ashley for hair, I would highly recommend them both as I received many compliments on the results of both services! I loved the studio in Plymouth when I went for my trial, I purchased the offered touchup kit after my trial and I am so glad I did! Allie helped answer all of my questions throughout the booking process and was also very friendly. Highly recommend!

WOW WOW WOW. Haylie and Megan were so professional and did such an incredible job!! Allie was so prompt in responding and helped coordinate my trials and gave some helpful suggestions to make the look I was going for come to life! The salon is beautiful and well-cared for, everyone there is so kind and are your personal hype-women!! You feel like a celebrity with the look they create and the experience. We couldn’t believe how quickly they got everyone done, and how flawlessly everyone looked! Haylie was on hair and was able to give everyone exactly the vibe they wanted, while giving it her own creative twist! Megan was on make up for my ladies and was so nice and helped make sure they all looked and felt their most beautiful! Haylie was taking care of me and made sure my hair would last all day (and stayed through the next day!) and my make up highlighted my natural beauty! My husband even asked if I had any on my face because he felt like it was so natural. I absolutely loved working with them and I’m sure I’ll be back in the future… wink wink … if you are looking for a first class experience and want to feel like you’re the star, run, don’t walk, and book with these ladies!!

They were so responsive to emails, the two women who did my trial were the ones that were with me on the day of my wedding which was nice to have continuity and I couldn't recommend working with them more. Janelle and her team did an amazing job on hair and makeup for myself as well as my mom and bridal party for my wedding at Zingerman's Cornman Farms! Everyone got to choose their own unique styles and each one was executed perfectly and lasted all day. The makeup looked natural and helped me stand out and look beautiful in my wedding photos, and I received tons of compliments. Many of my bridesmaids even decided to start using the Cosmakery foundation (Janelle's brand) regularly because they loved the look and feel of it so much. Would highly recommend!

With professionalism, tons of communication and the flexibility to work with a bride who doesn’t wear a lot of make up, a maid of honor who had never had professional make up done and a MOB who wanted everything thing they had, the Makeup Loft delivered!! Planning my daughter’s wedding from five states away was a breeze with Allie offering constant communications. Jayln and Ashley were fantastic; from the trial day through the wedding day, they were encouraging and supportive and we looked AWESOME! The Makeup Loft did my wedding bridal/bridesmaids hair and makeup, everyone was so impressed with the quality, efficiency, and beauty of the looks! Most girls had soft glam makeup and updo. It is easy to be apprehensive when getting hair and makeup done for an event by someone you have never met however none of the girls had to do their own touch ups and the looks lasted from 9am - 1am. The same stylist at my trial was there at my wedding to do bridal hair and makeup. They were prompt/on time at start and finish. Throughout the planning process Allie was responsive to emails and inquiries and I never felt worried that they would fall through. Would recommend to other brides and bridal parties!

The Makeup Loft provided makeup services for myself and my bridesmaids for my wedding this past September. We were super happy with the results! I worked with Sara and we did two trials to nail down the perfect look for wedding day. Sara was wonderful, listened to my thoughts and suggestions, and made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! I got ENDLESS compliments on the makeup, and I still felt like I looked like myself (which was one of my biggest concerns). All of my bridesmaids also really liked their makeup and had no complaints! Sara was prompt, on-time, and stayed on schedule with no problem. As a final note, the prices via The Makeup Loft are very reasonable! I would recommend them to anybody searching for a makeup artist without hesitation!

As a brown bride, I struggled finding a place that knows how to pick the right colors that works on my skintone. Taylor (who did my makeup) was great! She did a good a job during my trials and she was so open to my comments and feedback. Im also a makeup newbie and she made comfortable throughout the whole process. They have a very cute space in Plymouth, and the owner Allie was so nice, welcoming, and helpful. I was very pleased with the work of the staff and their professionalism during my hair and makeup trial, and they were willing to come all the way to Rochester to do hair and makeup for the whole wedding party! I could not have been happier with the services we received from Makeup Loft for my wedding! Regina was my hair stylist and absolutely crushed it. After an unsuccessful first hair trial (turns out because I had a ton of buildup), Regina offered a complimentary retrial. At the second trial, she went above and beyond by actually washing my hair for me and giving me a blowout, then doing a gorgeous hairstyle exactly like what I wanted. The actual wedding day, she did an AMAZING job on everyone’s hair. My own hair was exactly what I wanted and it stayed put ALL night! She even helped all of us put on/pin in our flower crowns. Mia was our makeup artist and is so talented, funny, and friendly—everyone looked absolutely beautiful and everyone’s makeup lasted all night (even through sweating and crying). Rachel was phenomenal! She did an amazing job on my makeup, as well as the ladies in the bridal party. She really took exactly what we were looking for, was honest about how to achieve the look, and ran with it. She was also such a pleasure to work with. Easy to talk to, made everyone feel comfortable, and was so sweet. I would recommend The Makeup Loft, and especially Rachel, to anyone for any occasion!

The Makeup Loft was absolutely incredible to work with! I am a bride who does not wear a ton of makeup daily, and they made sure I looked so beautiful while still feeling comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone!

The staff were very friendly however within 20 minutes of leaving the loft I noticed that my make up had started to come off in various areas of my face and in other areas it looked caked on and felt sticky. By the time I got home it looked so bad that I ended up having to rub all the foundation off and re-apply my own. I barely made it to the church to be a bridesmaid in my friends wedding because of this. It was incredibly disappointing and made me not want to use them for my own upcoming wedding.

The Makeup Loft team was very professional and made my bridal party feel beautiful for my wedding! They did 11 hair and makeup looks in 4 hours without making us feel rushed. I would absolutely recommend this team!

The Makeup Loft staff, and the services they provide, are nothing short of incredible. The staff are highly professional skilled, friendly, and accommodating. I have received both hair and makeup services from them a few times- as a bridesmaid and now as a bride. Every time I have worked with them, I have absolutely loved the look the created for me! As a bride, it was so reassuring to not have to feel worried or anxious about what my hair and make up services for myself and bridal party would look like. They do absolutely amazing work! I would highly recommend checking out the Makeup Loft for your wedding, you will not regret it!

The Makeup Loft did hair and makeup for my wedding day - for a party of 10 ladies! Everyone looked beautiful and our hair/makeup lasted us all day and night. I really loved how professional and kind the staff was and that you pay ahead of time so there's nothing to worry about on the actual wedding day other than relaxing and having fun. I've had my hair/makeup done for many weddings before and never loved the quality nearly as much as the Makeup Loft!

Since the day of my make up trial, Taylor made sure to absolutely deliver on my wedding day. As someone who struggles with anxiety about their appearance, I felt all of that melt away as I felt the most beautiful than I have ever been on my wedding day! I had such a great experience working with The Makeup Loft! Not only did I love my hair and makeup on my wedding day, but the entire process of working with them was so amazing. They were understanding and flexible, and everyone there was so nice and fun to talk to. I made some last minute changes to my hair style and they ensured the Stylist had all the details ahead of time and also allowed me to come in a week before my wedding for another hair trial to ensure I was satisfied with the result. Thank you so much for making this such a great experience. I would definitely recommend this company for any event hair/makeup!

Our event started super early in the morning and The Makeup Loft was there making us look fantastic! Not an easy task with an older bride (60 y.o.). Everything ran perfectly on time and everyone left feeling and looking their very best. The photos proved it!

My makeup was exactly what I envisioned for my wedding day. I was very particular with what I wanted and have a hard time trusting others to do my makeup but I was blown away! I wanted a natural/ clean look (think Haley Bieber) and our MUA Taylor delivered! The make up stayed in place all night and I didn’t need any touchups besides lipstick! All my bridesmaids and the MOB and MOG looked beautiful as well. Taylor was so much fun to hangout with during the morning and her energy made the morning even more fun! I get so many compliments on my makeup and had multiple future brides at my wedding ask where I got it done. I could not recommend Makeup Loft and Taylor enough!

Wonderful experience with the Makeup Loft! I chose them for my March 2023 wedding from glowing reviews and their approach - they enhance one’s natural beauty. I typically don’t wear a lot of makeup and it didn’t feel heavy at all! Everyone was very nice and answered all of my questions. My hair withstood the windy day! They even finished early with 7 bridesmaids and two mothers of bride and groom. I also appreciated they asked each girl their makeup preference, too. Would highly recommend for any bride in the Detroit area.
