Facilities and Capacity
The Merion is known in Cinnaminson for its elegant marble columns, decorative crystal chandeliers, and a classic spiral staircase that is perfect for a grand wedding entrance. Its architecture and decor exude sophistication and style. Up to 500 guests are able to attend an event in one of its four main ballrooms. Each ballroom has a separate cocktail room, a private restroom, and a bridal suite for wedding preparation. These rooms may also be used by the couple to take a private moment to themselves. The beautiful Skylight, Palace, and Empire ballroom can host events 75-300 guests and The Palazzo ballroom accomodates 200-600 guests. No matter which ballroom you choose, you can design it to fit your wedding-specific vision and your own unique style.
Services Offered
In addition to its facilities, the Merion offers full-service catering for weddings. Each menu is custom selected to meet your needs and is served by professional, white-gloved attendants. The Merion also has a Pastry Chef team on-staff to create a custom wedding cake. The cake and dinner options are made with fine and fresh ingredients to wow your guests and make your wedding day just as you envisioned it. With every couple, the Merion assigns an event planner and provides a list of recommended vendors so you can do all your event coordination in one place.

and making sure my husband and I were cared for. Almost everything was included in the price, including all the food, open bar, cake, etc. The cocktail hour is amazing! All our guests kept talking about how incredible it was! We chose the groom's table and it came with an Eagles ice sculpture! The day went so smoothly. We have no complaints at all. We had our ceremony and reception at the Merion and both were perfect! Our reception was in the Palace Ballroom. It is such a beautiful venue and I couldn't imagine having a wedding anywhere else!

friendly. She planned out everything smoothly including the timing of the meetings leading up to the big day. On the big day the staff at the Merion were great to us and our guests. Weather did play a role in us having to move the ceremony indoors, which was a slight bummer but I heard rain on your wedding day is good luck. The staff even surprised us before our first dance with flowers and a nice hug at the end from Callie. Our guests enjoyed the amazing cocktail hour and dessert display. They also enjoyed taking their own photos in the very beautiful venue. Thank you Callie and the Merion team for making the best of our special day for us and our guests. Erin was absolutely exceptional.
She kept us on timeline the entire night, coordinated our photo sessions, and seamlessly moved us through the different spaces throughout the evening. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure everything ran smoothly.
She helped wrangle family members for pictures, kept the event flowing, and honestly, we noticed immediately when her shift ended because her presence had been so steady all night.
The food was fantastic with a massive menu to choose from, and the venue itself is beautiful. We'd recommend The Merion to any couple looking for a well-organized, delicious, and memorable wedding experience.
Just one tip: consider hiring your own day-of coordinator to make sure you personally get to enjoy the food and drinks throughout the night. It's easy to get swept up in the moment!

Multiple guests told us, without exaggeration, that this was the best wedding they’d ever been to and a lot of the credit goes to the Merion and their staff. The food was incredible and exceeded all expectations. You’d think the quality and variety were add-ons, but everything was included. We had Nigerian fusion cuisine, and the chef prepared jollof rice that was as authentic to Nigeria and as good as any I've ever had.
The venue was easy to work with, vendors were easily accommodated, and the space itself is stunning. Between the suites (the new groom get ready room is insane) and multiple ballrooms, everything flowed perfectly. The staff, the pricing, the experience, every single detail was spot on.
We would relive this day in a heartbeat and highly recommend The Merion to anyone looking for a wedding venue. Absolute perfection. Would give 10/5 stars if possible.

tastic — she remembered all our requests and made sure every detail came together just as we envisioned. Even with a few hiccups along the way, she stayed calm, organized, and positive, which made all the difference.
We had a smaller guest list, but the entire team treated everyone like gold. The day of the wedding was picture-perfect. The only small miss was that we accidentally skipped the cake cutting because no one was watching the timeline at that moment and we couldn’t find Emily — but in the end, it all worked out and didn’t take away from how wonderful the day was.
Overall, we’re so grateful for the amazing staff, beautiful setting, and the care they put into making our wedding unforgettable. Thank you, Emily and the whole team, for helping us create such a special day!

e cocktail hour was the BEST - the sushi and the bacon bar were so good. Our server Nick was lovely - he made sure we had everything we needed and kept us organized throughout the reception. The space is beautiful, we chose the Empire in the downstairs and we had our ceremony upstairs in the Skylight room - The Merion was super accommodating with waiting until the day-of to decide about indoor or outdoor ceremony (it ended up raining for our day).
We also got ready at the Merion in the suites downstairs, the girls arrived at 9 am and the boys at noon. There was a wonderful breakfast and lunch spread for the girls. We also got champagne and juices for mimosas in the morning. The room was spacious and there were 3 chairs for hair and makeup.
The guys room is really cool and has a pool table and TV for football. Beer can’t be ordered when you arrive but you are welcome to bring your own, so be aware of that
The downfall in the two rooms is that there is no place to hang suits or dresses in either room. We requested a rack to hang but they had none available. Since we were trying to avoid wrinkles this wasn't ideal.
Overall, a lovely experience. I would recommend the Merion as a venue. We are still getting compliments on the food from cocktail hour, main courses, and the bar!

On the day of the wedding, the staff truly went above and beyond. Lisa, our maître d, Maria (captain), Dev (head server), and Manny (bartender) were all amazing. They made sure our guests were well cared for, and they never let my husband or me go without food or a drink in hand. We felt like royalty thanks to their attentiveness and kindness.
The food was outstanding, with so much variety that our guests are still raving about it. The Skylight Room provided the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony, and the Empire Room was the perfect setting for an unforgettable reception. Having separate bride and groom suites was also such a thoughtful touch and made the day run smoothly.

Our guests are still raving about the food with a variety and quality that exceeded all expectations. The presentation was just as impressive as the taste. Manny was an excellent bartender and did an amazing job with the cigar bar/smoked old fashioned station. We heard nothing but good things about the other bartenders/servers as well.
We want to give a special shoutout to our event coordinator Calli. She went above and beyond to give us our dream wedding and even stayed late until the night to ensure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We could not have pulled this off without her and by the end she felt like part of the family. We would highly recommend her to anyone planning on getting married at the Merion in the coming years. Did I mention she also helped in planning my proposal to Alli in a different room at the Merion?

Not only the service is impeccable, but the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. I got married in May, my ceremony was in the beautiful North Garden where the landscaping is breathtaking and then the reception to follow in the Palace Ballroom which I picked for the beautiful gold accents and chandeliers. McCann. Emily went above and beyond throughout the planning process and also on our wedding day - creating a timeline of events, always making herself available to answer our many questions via email and phone, and setting up our decor day-of. Thanks to Emily, our cocktail hour and reception could not have gone any smoother. She radiates so much calm, positive energy that we felt certain any task within her responsibility would be taken care of without a problem, and we were right to think so.
Taylor, our head server, was also amazingly attentive. She met up with us before cocktail hour began to ask our favorite drinks and then ensured that we were never empty handed of food or drink as we greeted our guests throughout cocktail hour. She also ensured that the bridal suite was well equipped with snacks and drinks and even brought my husband a hand-written list of all the available whiskeys during dinner.
We really could not have asked for a better wedding day than the Merion provided. The food and drinks were amazing, our cake was delicious, the Skylight Ballroom was gorgeous, and the staff are exceptional. Everyone we knew warned us that our wedding day would fly by and we would hardly have time to enjoy, yet alone eat our dinners, but the Merion staff ensured that was not the case and that we were able to fully enjoy our day.

our wedding day with Erin, our coordinator and she is the absolute star at this venue. If you are considering the Merion, go for a tour and ask for Erin. You won't be disappointed! She was with us through every step of the planning process and I would have been genuinely lost without her. She is incredibly responsive and helpful and just an all around pleasure to be around. Erin and the Merion brought my vision to life. I was shocked when we saw a sneak preview of the room before our guests.
Even in a snow storm - THEY. SHOWED. UP and absolutely nailed it. All my guests are still raving about the abundance of food and how wonderful the servers, bartenders and drinks were.
They have a few rooms to choose from and plenty of options for all different tastes. I love that they are always keeping up with the venue to make it perfect for the couples big day. The whole team just made my husband and I feel so important and valued and they are a well oiled machine. Book this venue, please book with Erin, she is a true star at this venue and every single person you work with just wants to make your day beautiful! Cannot recommend this venue enough!

mixed with close friendships. Jokes to calm nerves, detailed timelines for the day and fantastic communication between coworkers who seemed like family. The Merion was recommended to us by a friend and we fell in love as soon as we entered. It was a very welcoming atmosphere with hints of home. Emily was absolutely incredible from when we signed the contract, all the way to the day of our wedding. When reception rolled around for us we were met with our maître d and captain (forgive me as I cannot remember their names) for the evening who were checking in to make sure we were all taken care of all night long. It was such an incredible experience from beginning to end. I cannot say enough positives about our night!!

as superb. She was accommodating to all of our requests and last minute changes and very punctual and responsive to our emails and phone calls. On the day of our wedding she made sure everything ran smoothly the entire day and was present throughout the occasion to help out in any way required. The venue itself is gorgeous. Our ceremony took place in the skylight ballroom and our reception in the palazzo ballroom and our guests remarked numerous times at how beautiful they thought everything was. The service staff was also outstanding. They were all very attentive, respectful, and courteous with our guests throughout our wedding. Everything happened exactly as we had planned and without a hitch. We would highly recommend the Merion and Emily to anyone for their wedding.

My partner and I's families are from different backgrounds and the Merion was able to accomodate meals to be halal and vegetarian which was amazing. Everyone complimented the cake as well. Lastly, we would not have been able to have such a beautiful night without the help and coordination of Calli Froelich. She held our hands from the beginning to when we booked the venue to the utter end. She helped us manage so many details we did not think of ourselves and it honestly all turned out beautiful without even a coordinator because of her! This is a great place and venue!

She took the time to get to know us as a couple, and at no point throughout the process did I feel pressured or like I was being sold to. The venue sells itself. The entire team did a great job of making sure they were communicating deadlines well ahead of when they were due. I don’t want to ruin the surprise for future brides, but I appreciate the nice touch they added after our first dance. Wedding planning can be stressful, but working with Calli and the entire team at The Merion was one of the processes that wasn't stressful. If I had one piece of advice to give the future Brides and grooms of The Merion, it would be to eat the food… All of it, it is so good.

The Merion. The comment I love best is “Speechless.” Holly, my Event Specialist was always professional, helpful and responded timely to the many emails and calls I made leading up to the event. Her suggestions were invaluable.
The food served during dinner and the cocktail hour were excellently prepared. Not to mention a room full of delicious desserts too numerous to list. The service provided by team: Event Specialist - Holly; Maitre’d - Nick; Head Server – Kelly; and Captain – Adelin was superb. They did an outstanding job making sure my guests and I felt special. They were also great in mixing Indian food along with the American since it was an interracial wedding. Everyone loved the experience and has not stopped messaging us about how great everything was! s were all fantastic. Holly was so helpful in accommodating our needs as well, and I was always able to email her with my questions.
I had a few complaints that make it hard for me to give the venue five stars. One of them is that there is no good space for getting dressed at the Merion - we managed to use two of the lounges for me and my party to get dressed, but to be honest, it was hacked together for us to use as a dressing room and was a very sub-optimal space. Plus, we had to pay extra to be able to use it for more than 2 hours before the party began. The other thing is that up until like an hour before everything was supposed to start, there was no one there to help coordinate with vendors. No venue coordinator, no maitre d, no one. I had to keep interrupting my hair and makeup to go try and run around and figure out venue issues with my vendors. Not what I wanted to be doing. I did notice however that multiple times that tour groups of folks visiting the venue were walking by us and the dressing room, and it made me feel like there were people on site that could have been taking care of us but were choosing to prioritize potential customers over those who had already paid them.
All in all, I don't regret having our reception here, it was still a great experience and we had a lovely time. But I think there are ways in terms of service that I think it could have been improved.

prior to the big day. Throughout the course of the year, Stephanie was amazing. We could not have had such a phenomenal event without her help. She is communicative, easy to work with, and genuine. It can be quite stressful to plan a wedding, but Stephanie reduces that stress with ease!
The day itself was undoubtedly incredible. From the food, to the beautiful décor, to the staff attentiveness - there was no stone left unturned to help make this night truly a once in a lifetime night. Words cannot express how thankful we are for Stephanie and the entire Merion team for making our night special.
If you are considering The Merion for your wedding (or any event, for that matter), do yourself a favor and follow through. You will not be disappointed. I wholeheartedly recommend both The Merion and Stephanie.

Our guests also told us that the bartenders were so on it, that when they put their empty glass down, a new one would appear right in front of them before the empty glass could hit the table. Calli was with us from the moment we arrived at the venue, communicating with the other event coordinators to make sure our every need was met via an earpiece microphone. We truly felt like royalty. If you are looking to have the wedding of your dreams, look not further. The Merion (and Calli!) have it all.

She even laughed at my corny jokes. She kept by our side during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and was so accommodating – helping us get food, drinks, and keeping our wedding party in check. Our server Maria and Maître d Scott were also wonderful, attentive, friendly, and fun to be around. was right there at the entrance waiting for me and my husband when we arrived from the church where we had our ceremony. For the price that you pay, you get A LOT of food and it was pretty tasty. All of my guests raved at how much they loved the cocktail hour, dinner and dessert selections. Calli made sure the Christmas decorations were still up because most of our photos were taken inside. The lobby was gorgeously decorated and the premises (bathrooms for example) were clean. The service was amazing too. There was a bartender there named Manny who took care of everyone's drink needs. What I especially love is that you didn't have to pay extra for things like valet parking or coat check or wedding cake, it was included. If you have your event there on a Saturday they include a carving station and seafood bar. Everyone loves the skylight ballroom but we had the Palace Ballroom and it was perfect for us. I hope to be able to come back again as a guest so I can eat more of the food!
