When my husband and I began researching local wedding venues, we thought we were embarking on a long drawn-out journey filled with lots of site visits and pros/cons lists. Instead, we fell in love with the first venue we toured – The Ocean View Farm. Growing up on a flower farm in Carpinteria, I knew I wanted to get married outdoors at a local venue. The Ocean View Farm provided a gorgeous view of the Carpinteria Valley and allowed us to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one beautiful spacious location. Ken and Perry were extremely welcoming and helpful from day one and were very accommodating and understanding when we had to reschedule our wedding due to Covid. They even provided a list of preferred vendors to assist us in our search for the ideal team. Ken and Perry’s beautiful property paired with an extremely talented and attentive vendor team allowed us to have the most memorable and seamless wedding day. Perry checked in with us on numerous occasions and was the most hospitable host and Ken made the contract and logistics process very straightforward and hassle-free. Being able to get ready in the on-site cottage proved to be extremely convenient and such a memorable experience to share with my mother, sisters, and future mother-in-law. We have such fond memories of our wedding day and couldn’t have imagined it taking place in a more picturesque location. Thank you Ken and Perry for everything you did to make our wedding day so perfect!

A LOVE LETTER TO OCEAN VIEW FARM Dear Perry and Ken, Thank you for the time and attention you invested into your IMPECCABLE property, creating a striking, scenic, romantic, colorful, and truly MEMORABLE BACKDROP for our daughter's wedding. All the "sweat equity" you continually put into your property paid off in lavish, precious memories. When we discovered this hidden gem, our daughter and her Coast Guard fiancee immediately knew it matched their vision of the ideal wedding venue. The Farm, as we lovingly call it, delivered in more ways than we can even count. Having had to postpone the event due to Covid in March of 2020, we were grateful that you both rolled with all the daily changes, questions, and "what ifs," then quickly pivoted to move all our plans forward with no consequences or questions asked. We were always greeted with your kindness and support during a challenging year of disappointment and uncertainty. For those wanting to know what a wedding day at Ocean View Farm feels like, you only had to look at the JOY-FILLED faces of our daughter, her new husband, and all 125 guests to know it was a blessed day. Ocean View Farm lays out horizontally across the foothills of Carpinteria at the top of a private lane with expansive ocean and majestic Santa Ynez mountain views. Acres of well-tended, mature avocado trees, citrus trees, and lush coffee plants prove that pride of ownership is alive and well here. The design has many thoughtful details starting with the open-sided, open beam barn offering loads of creative options to personalize any event. The smooth cement floor alleviates the need to rent a dance floor. Thank you! There is ample outdoor space for restrooms and catering set-ups with enough water and electrical receptacles for vendors. The flowering landscape was lush with tall sunflowers, bougainvillea, roses, lavender, and the distressed barn wood structures offer picture-perfect backdrops for photos and casual ambiance. EVERYONE said how gorgeous and ideally suited the venue was for our 125 guests; the views and the weather didn't disappoint either. Offering us a great list of your trusted vendors was very helpful, and you made it so easy for all to operate onsite with ease and efficiency before, during, and after the event. The day, and all the planning leading up to it, were flawless. Perry, you became a well-trusted friend, and I am grateful for your support throughout the entire two years it took to have the wedding our daughter and our new son-in-law envisioned. Seeing you in your big brim hat and soil-clad gardening gloves every time we arrived for a visit speaks volumes to the hard work, love, and dedication you put into your property, and always greeting us with a smile and "come up anytime" attitude. . Ken, you made the contract and logistics process effortless, welcoming our calls every time until we got all the details right. Of course, we wanted to take good care of the place for you, so we thank you so much for returning our deposit immediately following the wedding weekend with such efficiency. Thank you again for helping us create the most memorable day for our family. We were lucky to have found you!

Ocean View Farm is truly a welcome new venue in Carpinteria, with stunning views of the ocean and Santa Barbara hills. I was very impressed with the responsiveness of Perry, the venue owner, and her flexibility and eagerness to provide an amazing experience. The property is well maintained and very affordable for the area. I would highly recommend Ocean View Farm to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue in Santa Barbara.

Ocean view farm was the dreamiest wedding venue we could have imagined! Everything went seamlessly and Ken and Perry couldn’t have been sweeter. The house and guest house to get ready in were perfect for the wedding party to get ready in on site. The ceramony area was perfect with a beautiful arch looking over the ocean, and the barn was transformed into the perfect reception. There are numerous areas our photographer used for pictures, including the avocado orchards, bougenvilla, and the hills behind the property. Our pictures turned out stunning. You really can make what you want of the property with your style and Ken and Perry are so flexible and easygoing. Our guests raved of the property and just loved it. It was perfect!

I cannot say enough about the classic beauty of this venue. My husband and I were set to get married in Malibu, but when fires hit our venue, our wedding planner acted fast and booked this gorgeous location as our “plan B”. I know what you're thinking, every bride’s worst nightmare came to life, how did we cope? Well, with a fabulous wedding planner and a perfect new venue it was not hard to do. Months of planning had left me worried and wondering how the wedding would be re-created at this new venue, especially with only seeing a few pictures the day before. But, from the moment we stepped foot on the property it just felt right. Both Perry and Ken were warm in opening their venue and didn’t hesitate to make us feel comfortable. They even worked with vendors to direct set-up and were always checking in to see if there was anything anyone needed. They treated us like family and after the stress of evacuations and re-planning a wedding in half a day, that was something my family and I appreciated the most. The natural landscape overlooking the ocean was absolutely breath taking to experience while saying, “I do”. The reception location was magically lit with bistro lighting that complimented the soft coloring of the dusk lit ocean backdrop. Every moment of my wedding day was elegant, the lighting/design was perfect, and the memories made were better than I could have planned for. What is wonderful is that this space is really a blank canvas that can be decorated with any theme. My guests kept saying you would have never known this was a back-up location because everything was such a gorgeous success. We were so blessed to have been given the opportunity to start the rest of our lives here. While The Ocean View Farm was not the venue I originally booked, it is the venue I would choose over and over again.
