The Old Mill is Beautiful!!! We got so so so many compliments on our venue. The way it lights up when it is all decorated, is incredible. Having everything all in one space, but very different settings was a huge plus for us!! And The Conner Team was great! Don worked with us from the very beginning to capture the vibe we wanted for our wedding. He was so easy to work with, and obviously knew what he was doing. He was able to talk us through all the little things you might not think about with planning, but also really listened to what we wanted and helped us make it all possible. The behind the scenes team was great with quick email responses and INCREDIBLE food!!!! We loved having our wedding at the Old Mill.

We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, and Don and his team were incredibly accommodating and helpful. We basically got to copy and paste our wedding to one year later! The preparations leading up to the wedding were a bit confusing - we were contacting several different people and weren’t sure what the status of things were at times, but they were extremely busy due to all the postponed and regularly scheduled weddings. Don helped us coordinate the drop-off of all our items about a week before the wedding, which was so easy and smooth. The service on the night of our wedding was nothing short of incredible. Special shout-out to Christine, who made sure me and my husband were well cared-for and always had what we needed. I was BEYOND IMPRESSED with the staff at the Old Mill. The food was also amazing - we got so many compliments, and they keep coming! Everyone remarked that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. Cleanup/breakdown was also really easy. I highly recommend The Old Mill :-)

This was the first and only venue we looked at because I instantly fell in love with it. Don and his team at The Old Mill were amazing and so helpful. We had a fall 2021 wedding, and they were great at keeping us updated on COVID protocols, and answering any other questions we may have had. Their staff was also AMAZING on our wedding day. They were always making sure my husband and I got to try the food, and had water, which was such a blessing as it was very hot out. And OH MY GOODNESS the food was AMAZING. We had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding food they have every had. We also loved doing the family style serving so everyone could try all of the food, and that everything was so customizable. My husband and I love pizza, and we were able to have it as part of our appetizers at cocktail hour. We also did not want wedding cake as our desert, so we were able to have an ice cream station instead which was one of the highlights of the night! Cannot recommend them enough, not only will you have great service and food, but the venue is also stunning. Our pictures turned out amazing. It was the most perfect wedding day thanks to Don and his staff.

The Conner Catering team did an amazing job with our August 2021 wedding at the Old Mill. First, the food was DELICIOUS. We still have family members talking about how delicious the food was at our wedding. Also, both my wife and I are vegetarians, and we really appreciate how accommodating they were to our needs and the dietary restrictions of our guests. Second, Don and his team were smooth to work with and we appreciated their directness and honesty as we planned our wedding. Third, the venue itself was absolutely stunning and everything we could have wished for. Sending our thanks to the Conner Catering team for all their hard work on our wedding day! Definitely recommend them for your catering and wedding needs!

My husband and I could not have had a better wedding experience than we did on our special day at the Old Mill with Conner Catering in September. Despite the planning stress, COVID stress, and planning a wedding five hours away from where you live, we had the most smooth experience. Don met with us whenever we asked and answered any/ all of our emails/ questions whenever we had them. The day could not have gone smoother, service was incredible. ALSO LETS TALK ABOUT THE FOOD. Best food ever. Also there is a lot of it, they even asked guests if they wanted seconds at dinner! We also had many family members with allergies/ dietary restrictions and they were given an entire meal that accommodated their needs. One of my gluten free family members told me that he has never eaten so much at a wedding, and that it was amazing. We are so sad how quickly our day went because we had such an amazing time, highly recommend!

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Connor Catering is. Don and his team went above and beyond to help us with our postponement (due to COVID) and wedding. Don and his team were extremely responsive in always meeting with us to discuss the changing guidelines with COVID. Don and his team created a wonderful array of food items for our wedding. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and presentation of the food. Don and his team truly were incredible and we had the wedding of our dreams at the Old Mill. If you are looking for a unique venue in which you can make your own, then this is the perfect wedding location for you! I would highly recommend this venue and caterer to anyone looking to host a wedding or special event!

I honestly haven't stopped crying since May 28th. Our wedding was suppose to be May 1st 2020..they say if you want to see god laugh tell him your plans. With Covid and capacity restrictions to mask mandates what couple wouldn't be anxious leading up to their day? Honestly the words THANK YOU are not enough for Don and his crew here at the Old Mill. Don reassured us many times leading up to the day that everything would work out, and that is in no small part because of Christine! You are a godsend, without you that day I wouldn't have known my left from my right. You took great care of my mother and father that day as well. I am eternally grateful for you. If you have the slightest reservation about booking with The Old Mill, let it go. This place will knock your socks off with service and the FOOD, OMG the FOOD, your guest will talk about it for years to come. As a gay couple at times during this process of getting married you take disrespect and sometimes even flat out doors being slammed in your face...That did NOT happen here, not once, not even a hint of awkwardness. They were beyond accommodating, welcoming and everyone had a friendly smile even through a mask. Thank you again to the crew at the Old Mill!

My husband and I had our wedding here May 30th, 2021. Donald Conner and his staff are seriously incredible, he is a perfectionist with a high attention to detail. All of the staff from his assistant Christine, his bartenders, waitstaff and everyone in between were so kind, helpful and seemed to truly love what they do, which after an uncertain year, was really refreshing and welcome on our wedding day! Don was really flexible and helpful when it came to the ongoing changes of Covid restrictions, we met 3+ times due to the changing restrictions and Don did not bat an eye, and kept us personally up to date and gave advice along the way. We also had the coldest weekend in May, which also caused more logistical changes the day before, and again, Don gave his opinion, but also supported our decisions and helped with last minute changes and logistical updates, keeping us at ease with the insane weather! My wedding day was truly the best day of my life, due in part to Don and his awesome staff. Every guest we spoke to said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, and noted the upbeat personalities and constant high level of service through out the night as well, in addition to the gorgeous venue and grounds. I would recommend The Old Mill to anyone looking! Thank you again!

I cannot say enough of how much we loved getting married at The Old Mill. Donald was kind and fun to work with and unfortunately we started to hit some problems after Covid rules started to affect the wedding. Don and his team were able to make everything work and as things got closer we had to move things outside and only have 25 people inside when the reception was supposed to be all inside. He ordered tents to put up outside and was able to make so many requests work such as the courtyard free for dancing. Unfortunately there were added costs. We had no idea we were going to be charged for the tent because we needed to move everything outside last minute and the cost was going to have a huge impact on our budget. We were not notified we were supposed to pay and thought they were paying for it. We had a tent we could have used but it was not well communicated to us until we received a bill two weeks before the wedding because these changes were so last minute. Thankfully Don handled the situation Kindly and we were able to move forward. Communication and understanding was a huge issue. We were told we would have to pay extra to be under 100 guests and we had counted that towards our budget, an extra $1500. All the notes for costs are handwritten and nothing concrete that we could fight when at the final week were charged an extra $30 per person for meals from our original $102.50 charge agreed upon. It was never advertised we would be charged so much more, especially last minute. This was before the 18% gratuity charge ad 6 % taxes extra on top of everything we also had budgeted for. We trusted his word and what he had written, but because we had no contract for these prices he was able to charge us whatever he decided in the end. We could have understood some extra fees with Covid, but not an extra $30 per person for food that we had not agreed to pay. Overall we had to pay $3000 instead of $1500 that we had agreed on. If we also had to pay for the tent it would have been $2700 extra for everything that we hadn't agreed to pay. We truly recommend this place, but only if you can get the invoiced contract in writing and I am not sure they will do that. We tried to get written prices, but even those were not entirely accurate it seems. It was a terrible situation and if our parents hadn't been so understanding we would have lost all our money invested and no wedding the week before the wedding. The day of Don and his team were impeccable with making everything work and any issues that arose. They also were incredible with following state guidelines, but never letting it negatively impact the wedding. Masks and social distancing outside, grouping of households at tables, and minimum 25 people inside. Most stayed outside because of the beautiful night. We had our dream wedding. it was everything we could have asked for and more. We would consider renewing our vows there as long as we could get costs in writing. The courtyard is a dream, like stepping through to a place of magic. The lodge and inside is rustic and matched our modern viking themed wedding perfectly! We look back on the day with no regrets and complete awe at how fortunate we were to have such a great team willing to put aside any issues and make it incredible for us and our entire family. I close my eyes and I still feel myself there, spinning around the dance floor with my husband!

My husband and I got married in August 2020. Planning a pandemic wedding was immensely stressful but The Old Mill and Conner Catering made it so much easier! They were on top of everything from the planning process and keeping us up to date on changing guidelines, COVID safety at our wedding, amazing food, and great service! We cannot thank them enough. All the guests RAVED about the service, safety, atmosphere, and elegance of it all. It was truly our bright spot to a very chaotic year and we cannot thank The Old Mill and Conner Catering enough! You made our dreams come true despite the uncertainty. They are the best!

I know the story behind this campaign of nasty Reviews being posted here against this venue and caterer. My suggestion to all viewers taking these ridiculous allegations into consideration, as with everything today, is to please do your research. Anyone can post here, Yelp and Google and say whatever they want. Very sad that this is being launched against a caterer and venue that is incredible and simply wouldn't break the law for an event. Following the Governor's Executive Orders and acting responsible during a pandemic is what happened here. That's the bottom line.

My husband and I got married this August (2020) at the Old Mill. I couldn't say enough how amazing our day was. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and has a great alternate plan for inclement weather (the pavilion is GORGEOUS!). The food is just AMAZING -- I am vegan but my husband is not, so we had a mixture. Vegans and non vegans alike said all of the food was amazing! They even had vegan snacks waiting for me in the bridal suite. They definitely make their couples feel special!! The service staff was incredibly friendly and professional! They allow you to supply your own alcohol which helps you save some money too! We communicated mostly with Donald and Taylor. Donald is very detail-oriented and efficient - he made sure everything went smoothly and was great about talking through our options when we had to rework our original 130-guest wedding plan due to the pandemic. Taylor is super responsive and friendly -- I emailed her millions of questions and she was always so great and informative in her responses! Conner Catering put extensive care and effort into making our event safe amidst the pandemic. Our event was held completely outdoors aside from the restrooms (guests had to wear face coverings to go inside for the bathroom), masks and hand sanitizer were stationed throughout, and ceremony and reception seating was spaced at least 6 feet apart. We reduced our guest count to less than 50 people, and Conner was so flexible with all of our changes. I would not change a thing about our wedding experience, and we are so grateful to Conner Catering and the Old Mill for making our day so special! P.S. I see a lot of recent negative reviews due to COVID. I don't mean to discredit them because I obviously cannot attest to other couples' experiences, but ours was excellent. We were aware of the noise restrictions before we signed our contract (it's in the FAQ document Conner Catering provides as well), so when we moved our wedding outside, we knew that would mean no more dancing -- which is not something that bothered us given the pandemic so we were prepared to give that up, and had such a fun reception anyway (they also did allow us to do our first dance and father-bride / mother-groom dances!). I do think the neighbors are out of hand and behave disrespectfully (I'm not sure why they chose to live next to a wedding venue?), but I think Conner Catering does all they can to manage it. We did not see the neighbors at all on our day (although they did have a rude banner hung up on their property about closing the Old Mill). I would still highly recommend the Old Mill, as long as you're okay with the outdoor noise restrictions. It was more than worth it for us!

Do not plan a wedding at The Old Mill in Rose Valley. Conner catering is a disgrace! After meeting several times to discuss changes due to COVID our plans were in place until the day of the wedding. Donald Conner lied to us about allowing music and dancing in the pavilion. Our guest could not hear the music and Donald closed two of our three bars because our guests wanted to dance in the courtyard. The noise and music issues he has with the neighbors is not resolved; he lied to us again and said everything would be ok. He told us we could have outdoor music and dancing but would not allow it when our guests were ready to dance and enjoy themselves after dinner. He was rude and very difficult to work with. He made our guests very uncomfortable. Please read the recent reviews about his behavior, the bad reviews are there. He ruined our wedding and we will never forget the chaos and stress he caused all of us.

Had a family wedding at the Old Mill and Donald Conner ruined the night. We understand Covid weddings are tricky, but wouldn’t you think he’d want to try even harder to make the wedding special for the Bride and Groom? No, he didn’t care one bit. After multiple meetings and planning and replanning to accommodate for Covid changes, Donald decided to change what he wanted DURING THE WEDDING with no consulting the bride, groom, or parents. He sulked around the even glaring at people and making comments as he pleased. He only cares about himself and wants to be the star of the show even if it means being the villain. No music outside, got rid of two bars in the middle of the event even though they were already paid for, didn’t serve food that was paid for, told guests they were “rude” to their face, topped off areas for no reason.... who runs a business and acts like that!? Unreal. If he didn’t want to host an event because of Covid (understandable) then reschedule the event, but don’t over promise to your customers and pull the rug out from under them. He is bitter and rude and should not be in a customer service focused business. Don’t have your wedding here if you want the staff to care about you or your special day.

The location was beautiful however my experience was ruined by the Conner Catering crew. Donald was a nightmare and was so disrespectful. I would not recommend them for any event.

As you’re reading reviews notice majority of the good ones here are pre-COVID-19 so take them with a grain of salt. We were one of the few COVID-19 weddings that took place this summer and although the venue is beautiful, working with Donald is not worth the disappointment and frustration. His waiting staff is great - specifically Ralph (he’s awesome), food is great but during our big day the most noticeable person was Donald, and for all of the wrong reasons. He wants to be seen, he wants to be noticed and if something isn’t going his way (notice I didn’t say the bride or groom’s way) he will make a drastic decision and then lie about why it had to be done afterwards. All potential brides and grooms looking at the Old Mill, please READ THIS - His surrounding neighbors HATE him and they have caused scenes historically and WILL make police circle your wedding making it extremely uncomfortable, they will even take walks by the venue during your day and Donald can’t stop them because they technically live there too. If you want music during your ceremony, or all of your guests to hear your officiant and vows or nice cocktail hour music..nope, he won’t allow it (or he will but it will be so embarrassingly light just to check off the box for you) because if it’s too loud his neighbors will complain and he is more worried about that then making sure your day is perfect. Your day should be stress-free, only worrying about having the best time of your life with the closest people that love you the most..having your wedding here takes away a lot of those moments and will have you constantly making sure things are going as planned until you leave, and it’s just not worth it. Enjoy your day with a different venue that will help develop your dream completely.

My husband and I had a terrible experience with this venue. Donald was extremely rude during the final days of planning, and made it a point to tell us he wasn’t profiting off of our wedding due to the fact he had to rent a SMALL tent to meet COVID guidelines, (something that was totally out of our control and not suggested by us). He refused to box up meals we paid for but did not use, and he had his staff cut post-it size pieces of our HUGE wedding cake. He told his staff he did not care about our wedding because he wasn’t profiting, which showed in his actions, and his security guard repeated at the bar to our best man, where a few of our guests also overheard the comment. Donald did not have the decency to call us the next day and apologize for or acknowledge his awful attitude/actions. I would not recommend this venue to any couple looking to have a perfect wedding day. It seems like Donald is either too overwhelmed with what he does and needs to hire someone to replace him, or he just simply was not interesting in working with a bi-racial couple.

Words truly can not express our gratitude for the service that Don, Taylor, and their team provided for our special day. They exhibited extreme professionalism throughout the entire planning process, and the day of the wedding, to make this the best day of our lives. From answering my million questions to providing great ideas while planning, their team was unmatched...they almost treated us like their own family members. People were RAVING to us about the food and the venue and how beautiful everything was. Not only that but everything was PERFECTLY on time. We had so much time to dance and have fun :). I am so thankful we chose Conner Catering and The Old Mill for our wedding day. We will never forget this day or Don and his team.

It has taken us a week to decide whether or not we wanted to write this review. Last Friday, June 26, 2020, we were originally scheduled to be married at The Old Mill. As everyone is aware, the final PA counties went green on the 26th. Being faced with making a decision weeks in advance of that, we felt it best to cancel as we wanted to protect our family and friends and the Old Mill had limited dates available (unless we wanted to postpone for a significant amount of time) and we had selected this venue specifically for the outdoor spaces at this time of year. Through that decision, regardless of pre-covid contracts, we had hoped that businesses would be reasonable in their approach to working with people who were already faced with such upsetting circumstances. All other vendors we had contracted with for our original date were flexible and accommodating in providing refunds, particularly if they could not offer us future options that met the expectations we had originally agreed upon. It is disappointing to be in the scenario in which the Old Mill refuses a refund of our original deposits. With the state just going green on our original wedding day, we would have had no access to fittings for our wedding day attire, vendors who were unsure of their ability to offer their continued services based on the circumstances, and many other services that we had planned to use to create the day we had always dreamed of. Regardless of their willingness to offer virtual meetings, a wedding takes much more than just the assistance of the venue to pull off. We are all managing unprecedented circumstances, things not covered by contracts and in an emotionally driven industry; to selectively make changes to parts of the contract to accommodate rescheduling, but not have the willingness to refund a deposit is representative to us of a business’s core values. While we all are struggling financially and experiencing hardship like never before, this is an unfortunate stance to take and we caution others planning to hold their event at the Old Mill for their future big day until things return to “normal.” Given the significant increase in numbers over the week since going green, we are, ultimately, glad with the decision we made to protect our loved ones.

I cannot say enough good things about Conner Catering. Without a doubt, this was the best choice we made. During the entire process, Don and Taylor were amazing. When we first toured the Old Mill and met with Don, he was very helpful. My family has very little experience planning weddings, so he helped guide us. After we booked, Taylor and Don were great with details and giving us suggestions. Without their expertise, the wedding would not have gone as well as it did. The day of the wedding, things got a little messed up because 95 was shut down-- delaying the wedding party 1.5 hours. Don was very flexible and made sure everything was okay to extend an hour. The food was AMAZING. We received so many compliments about the food. During the process, we were worried about staying under budget for food, but still having a tasty meal. Don was very aware of our budget and made sure we got the best possible meal. Everything is very customizable, so you do not sacrifice quality at all. Without a doubt, this was the best choice we made and are so grateful to Conner Catering! Amazing food and an amazing team!

We fell in love with the venue the second we stepped on the property. It is SO beautiful and so unique. The majestic wooded area, the sound of the stream, the flowers blooming, the ivy covered wall, the welcoming pavilion, the unique inside space...these are literally just a FEW of the reasons we needed to get married on the grounds of the Old Mill. Then meeting Don, his wife, and daughter (family owned makes a WORLD of difference!!) was delightful. Don is super down-to-earth and honest (which is super helpful in decision-making). He isn't pushy in the least and made sure to explain everything to us. Don answered any question I had and was extremely responsive to me! They are a family dream squad!! At first, I was nervous that they were the only caterer at the venue. Then, Don invited us to a wedding expo where they were sampling their appetizers and we were so happy that they were our only choice because it was hands down the most delicious food we've ever had. Even the way that the food is displayed is super beautiful and impressive. My guests are STILL talking about the cocktail hour and dinner and how delicious it was. They were even flexible with my high-maintenance Aunt, but made sure to only contact ME with any questions that guests had (which I loved!). I could go on for hours about how happy we were with everything about The Old Mill. If you want a unique space, with delicious food and a down-to-earth staff, this venue is definitely for you!

We couldn't have had a better experience at our wedding. Everyone had a great time! The food was delicious and people couldn't stop raving about it. The venue is beautiful. Rustic, romantic, and perfect for a simple wedding without lots of glitz and glam. It shined in its own way. Lots of thanks to Donald Conner and his team!

The Old Mill was a beautiful venue and the team was super accommodating and helpful! Don gave us many great suggestions throughout the process and our guests raved about the food and how beautiful the venue was. We were very happy with our choice!

We had our daughters wedding at her Old Mill catered by Connors Catering. The venue was beautiful, the food, delicious and the staff fantastic!! I would highly recommend them!

I'm so happy we got to have our wedding here. It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of aesthetics. We worked with Donald, who was great. He knew this venue was at the top of our budget, so he worked with us on ways to cut down the catering costs so it could work for us. He also helped us as the day got closer to make sure we had everything in order. He was responsive each time we have him a call. We also got to set up the Friday before our Saturday wedding (since there was no other event that night), which was a total life saver! We had our ceremony in the meadow (luckily the weather cooperated), cocktail hour in the pavilion/courtyard, and reception in the ballroom - everything was so beautiful! Also, all of the food was so tasty! One of the staff managers, Lena, personally brought us a sampler of all of our appetizers during cocktail hour because she knew the bride and groom don't really get to eat - it was so thoughtful!

I emailed this venue multiple times over the course of one month for available dates. Finally after four weeks I received an email. I expressed my interest in a date (and three others for flexibility) and offered to put a deposit down prior to touring to secure the date. We were told we must schedule a tour first and scheduled one for one week later (this was scheduled after multiple emails, most receiving no response, and two unanswered voicemails). After commuting two hours to the venue for the tour we were informed that ALL DATES that we had expressed interest in were booked. Although we understand that others may express interest in the same dates, we expected some sort of courtesy call to inform us that within seven days all dates we were interested in were no longer available. During the tour, upon finding out that the dates we wanted were unavailable, our host cut the meeting short and did not offer other options for dates. When we told him how far we had commuted from he rolled his eyes and questioned why we would come this far for a venue. He was very vague about food pricing and would not give any range or estimate for how much specific meals would cost. We were very excited to visit this venue and it was on the top of our list, we were very disappointed with how unprofessional they were. In hindsight, seeing this prior to booking a wedding was helpful as I can only imagine we would have encountered more issues closer to the wedding date.

This place is more than a 10/10 in my books! The Old Mill and Conner Catering were absolutely INCREDIBLE for our wedding this past Saturday (July 7, 2018)! The first time I saw this venue on The Knot I feel in love with the greenery, the courtyard area, the inside, honestly everything about it was so special and unique. We meet with Donald and saw it in person and became even more in love with the space. Donald has a very sarcastic and playful personality but once you begin to understand him and work with him and his daughter Taylor you will realize your in good hands. I honestly was nervous about how everything was going to come together in the weeks leading up, but Taylor was a DREAM to work with and helped me with changes we made along the way whether it was upgrading the chairs, or changing the layout of the reception she was more than willing to accommodate. The day of the wedding was EVERYTHING and more – the staff and team behind this venue were 100% class and took such great care of us. I had so many guests tell us how amazing the staff was, and we couldn’t agree more. After our ceremony, my husband and I went to the bridal suite to just gather our thoughts and they brought us back one of every appetizer to eat alone before we welcomed our guests. The food was 10/10 and the timeline of our wedding went completely perfect thanks to the guidance of Donald. You will NOT regret choosing this space to celebrate your marriage it is beautiful in every way!

We could not have had a better experience working with Don at Conner Catering. Everything was perfect! The Conner Catering team pays attention to every detail and goes above and beyond. The Old Mill is absolutely beautiful in itself, but once the linens, tables, chairs, flowers, etc. are added -- the beauty enhances to next level. We feel so fortunate to have had our wedding at the Old Mill.

The Old Mill was a beautiful location for our wedding reception and the food was great! Courses were served timely and the entree reached every seat steaming hot. Many guests remarked positively on their meals, and Conner Catering took great care with all dietary accommodations. Conner Catering is tough to get a hold of well in advance of your wedding; however, they do become significantly more accessible as you get closer to your date. Regarding pricing, we found their food prices to be reasonable. The initial costs and estimates verbally quoted to us (they didn't have any prices in writing or contract) did increase in the year between when we booked the venue and we chose our menu with Donald. If you are booking this venue, I recommend adding 5-10% more to your food budget to be safe. Additionally, there can be a couple extra fees, like the $300 "Lighting" fee to turn on the outdoor lights and have basic uplights in the reception hall. Overall, I would definitely recommend this venue and Conner Catering. They do superb work and it is a beautiful location.

We could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding day. Our guests have not stopped raving about the food and our only wish is that we tried more of it. Don and his team were great to work with. We know that they are busy hosting multiple events per week, but they really found a way to make sure our day was unique. The venue is reasonably priced for such a beautiful space and there are an abundant amount of ways to customize the different areas to make it your own (if you are DIY type of bride). We were lucky enough to have a beautiful spring day and the magnolia tree blooming in the marrying meadow, but in case you do not have good weather, their rainy day options are equally as beautiful. Conner Catering really made our dream wedding a reality.

Don and the Conner Catering teamed helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect. Throughout the planning process Don listened and understood the vision we wanted and helped steer us in the right direction to make it happen. The day of the wedding, the team at the Old Mill could not have been more accommodating. They were attentive to my husband and I making sure that we had everything we needed or wanted. Our guests raved about the food, and my husband and I have to agree with them. The atmosphere of the Old Mill was just perfect and the Connor Catering team helped make it a welcoming and fun environment to be in. There was not one thing I would have changed about our day!

My husband I and I were married at the Old Mill – Conner Catering on 3/24/2018! As soon as I saw the venue, I knew immediately that is where I wanted to have my wedding reception. Donald, while very straight forward, is extremely knowledgeable and good at his job. From the first meeting until the final dance, the planning process was seamless and my husband and I had the best day ever. Our friends and family had nothing but good things to say about the food. For any potential brides and grooms, you will learn quickly that food and beverage account for most of your costs. Donald and his team delivered an A+ meal, and service. Donald even made a last minute adjustment to our menu because he felt the quality of tomatoes would not be good enough. As a BYO Donald guided us in amounts of alcohol to buy and choices. Donald and his team really made being a bride easy. The grounds are gorgeous, and while we skipped some photo op’s because of a recent snow (a few actually), the pictures we did get are beautiful. My husband and I had the best day ever, and we are sad it’s over, but have the memories to cherish forever. Kudos to Donald & Taylor!

My husband and I used Conner Catering for our wedding back in October (It was at The Old Mill) and they were absolutely fantastic. Amazing food, service and attention to detail. Donald and Taylor were great to work with through the entire wedding planning process leading up to the big day. Everything was perfect the day-of, and most importantly, stress-free. I don't even know where to start. My husband and I could not say enough about Donald and his crew. From the beginning, Donald was very professional, easy going, honest, and helpful. This continued throughout the year until we got married this past July. Our wedding was very DIY and Donald was helpful in giving us advice based on his years of experience. Whenever we talked to him, I felt assured that were going to have a great wedding. The day before our wedding, the weather was not looking great and we wanted to have the ceremony in the meadows. Donald did an amazing job calming both of us down (mostly me) and showing us the other options we had. The next morning the weather forecast changed and Donald called me first thing to talk about potentially moving the ceremony outdoors. He assured us that we could make a last minute decision if need be. Fast forward to the time of our wedding. Everyone that we worked with was so professional and friendly. Lena was so helpful during the whole process. My husband and I are gluten free due to allergies and she made sure everything we were eating were specially made for us. Our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the food. We literally do not have a bad thing to say about Conner Catering or the venue itself. It was everything and more than we could ever ask for. I would recommend this venue and Conner Catering over and over again. Thank you so much for making our special day perfect.

We had a perfect and magical wedding at The Old Mill! The outdoor ceremony, the two areas for cocktails and the indoor reception/dinner were fabulous. I contacted Taylor on many occasions to tweak our details and they were executed flawlessly. We also hired many of our vendors from the list given to us by Donald. They were all amazing and I think it helped that they knew this venue and they had established working relationships with each other. Appetizers and dinner were excellent! I knew that the food lists sounded great but having not tasted any, I was expecting nice wedding food but it was REALLY DELICIOUS. That day will always be a precious memory

Don Conner and the entire staff of Conner Catering made our wedding day flawless. From beginning to end, Don's experience and professionalism made planning all the details of our wedding easy. The morning of our wedding it rained buckets, but Don and team made sure to set up for the ceremony inside and outside to be prepared for any weather. Luckily, the rain stopped and we were able to have the ceremony outside. Our family and friends are still raving about how beautiful The Old Mill is. You won't have to worry about any step of the process when you book with Conner Catering and the beautiful Old Mill.

My Fiance and I just took a tour of this venue this past week and we absolutely fell in love. Unfortunately, we are set on a Saturday wedding and they only have one Saturday left in 2018, but if they weren't booked so far out we 100% would have booked this venue for our wedding. Within 24 hours of calling to set up an appointment, we were in for a tour. Don gave us our tour and he was friendly, funny and provided an all around great experience while we were there. We're really disappointed we hadn't checked this space out sooner, it really is incredible!

My fiancé and I scheduled a tour here tonight and left with an incredibly bad taste in our mouths. We arrived a few minutes early and Don was still with another couple. We politely waited in the entryway so they could finish up. Five, ten, fifteen, twenty minutes went by, and although Don made eye contact with me *multiple* times, he never once acknowledged our presence. It was like we were invisible. My fiancé and I both rushed out of work so we could be on time for our tour. All Don had to do was give us a friendly wave and say he was finishing up and we would've stuck around. He was too busy "closing the deal" to give us the time of day. We were so frustrated that we walked out. My fiancé gave a (sarcastic) "thanks for your time" as we left and I think he managed to mumble an "ok, thanks." No "I'm sorry to keep you waiting," "I'm almost done, please just give me a few more minutes." Nothing! A wedding is a big financial investment. We're not asking you to roll out the red carpet for a venue tour, but if you're rude from the moment we step on your property, I can only imagine what it's like to plan and event with you. No thanks. Save your time, brides- and grooms-to-be. There are plenty of lovely venues out there vying for your business with polite employees who respect your time and investment. **Note: there is an almost identical review below from another bride. Clearly business as usual for The Old Mill.**

We got married on 3/25/17 at the Old Mill and absolutely loved it! Not only is the venue beautiful and unique, but Conner Catering is wonderful! Their food was delicious and they were extremely helpful along the way. They work within your budget and try to support any "out of the box" ideas you might have. Taylor and Don Conner were the main points of contact and they were both a pleasure to work with. We received many compliments from guests on the venue and the food! Some of the other reviews mention that it was hard to reach them when initially scheduling a visit to the venue, which was true to a degree. However, don't let this hold you back because once the wedding was booked they always responded promptly and were very friendly. I would recommend this venue and caterer without hesitation!

I just took a tour at this venue over the weekend and I'm actually in shock reading the previous below posted. We met with Donald and he was incredibly friendly and helpful in answering all of our questions. His expertise with weddings was apparent and we appreciated his sense of humor, making the tour that much more enjoyable. We called last minute to try to get in for a tour and he took the the time to show us around as they were setting up for an event, which we so appreciated. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the inside was just as beautiful. My fiance and I left in awe. The place is so unique, which was what we have been searching for. We have a few more venues to check out, but right now The Old Mill is at the top of our list. Do not avoid this place. Check it out, it's really one of kind!

Avoid this place...I contacted the Old Mill and the owner was somewhat rude on the phone when we first spoke but I figured given how beautiful the pictures were we'd still give it a try. We showed up for our appointment time and when we walked in he was meeting with someone else. We weren't sure if he was with other employees or another guest, so we quietly walked in and introduced ourselves. The owner acted annoyed that we were even there--at our appointment time! Then we waited for over 20 minutes and he never came out to say anything. Now don't get me wrong, the outside is very cool and rustic, which is what we're going for. However, the inside was less impressive. It was very dark and the bathrooms were really old and outdated. There is also a stage at one end of the ballroom that reminded me of a church all purpose hall. Beyond the lackluster inside, we were so turned off by his attitude and lack of apology for keeping us waiting, we decided it leave. When we went to politely tell him we were going to leave, all he said was 'OK,' and acted as though he didn't care at all. We were so disappointed by our experience because the Old Mill was at the top of our list....

Venue was even more gorgeous come the night of the reception than I could have imagined. From the amazing green surrounding forest to the court yard lit from above by string lights. I received countless complements about the venue and the food! People were in love with the unique hors d'oeuvres. Don had numerous recommendations leading up to the wedding and I trusted him on all of them, from family style meals to moving around the bar during cocktail hour due to excessive heat. He knows what he is doing and is also truly creative with food! The staff was amazingly attentive. In fact, my mother in law (who had two daughters married in the last year) remarked that she had never seen a more attentive waiting staff. I could really go on for days because I believe the venue and it's caterer were truly perfect. If you are looking for a venue in the Philadelphia area, you should do yourself a favor and check out the Old Mill!

We're in the process of finalizing our booking for our 2018 wedding at The Old Mill with Conner catering and we're really pleased with our experience so far. The level of professionalism and responsiveness we've experienced up to this point has already put our stress at ease and we're confident we're in great hands. Aside from how gorgeous the venue is, we feel in love with the idea of creating a wedding that was designed just for us as a couple to reflect who were are, what we love etc... instead of picking from a list of packages. We're so excited for our big day and will update :)

Working with the Conner Catering team to plan our wedding at The Old Mill was an all-around fantastic experience. Donald and Taylor were incredibly helpful, willing to answer our questions and responded to us in a timely manner. Their team took care of anything and everything that I can think of for our special day and left us with not a single thing to worry about except enjoying ourselves. I am writing this review as someone who is currently searching for venues. Despite some of the negative reviews i've read about The Old Mill, I remained optimistic and hopeful that I would have a positive experience as I always give people the benefit of the doubt. With that being said, the firs thing which was frustrating was the fact that it's almost impossible to get a hold of Connor Catering. After multiple emails and about 7 phone calls (really interested..can you tell) they finally returned my call at almost 8pm tonight after about two weeks. I get you wont get a call back immeditely, but when other venues call within the day and hour it makes you question the establishments service...On top of that, Don the person who you speak with over the phone not only rushed me off the phone but had a smart attitude and rude demenor. That's not how I expect to be treated as im considering spending thousands of dollars at said establishment. I'm sure if you've read reviews and did your research you would see this is a common theme with the Old Mill. There is a level of proffesionalism that needs to be shown but I am so dissapointed with what I recieved. So beware, if you have more patience to deal with this kind of service then by all means go ahead. It's a beautiful venue, without a doubt, but who wants to deal with that while planning their wedding and spending good money. No thank you.

The Old Mill was the perfect venue for our wedding!! We only looked at one place (this venue) and as soon as we pulled up to this venue, we knew it was the one. Conner catering (the exclusive caterer here) was just fantastic to work with. We cannot thank the Don and Taylor enough for their courtesy, enthusiasm and sound professional advice throughout the entire planning process. They were so accommodating and their expert advice made us feel so supported and at ease as we navigated through the planning process. Our wedding was spectular. If I could give this venue more than 5 stars I would. The service was incredible, the food was absolutely delicious and everything went off without a hitch. We had our wedding at this beautiful venue and It is difficult to adequately express how wonderful our experience was with The Old Mill and Conner Catering. During my wedding planning process and Donald and Taylor helped me every step of the way. From answering all my emails and phone calls promptly, helping me organize and bring to life all of my crazy idea and making time to work around my odd work schedule for our meetings, they made it all happen. The day of my wedding was just a dream come true. The Old Mill is a stunning venue that left all of our family and friends' speechless. Dear Donald and Conner Catering, This is a long overdue letter to THANK YOU for a perfect wedding reception for my son and daughter-in-law on Friday evening, July 29, 2016. You were so easy to work with and responded to each of our needs so beautifully. The Old Mill looked so beautiful inside and out, the weather, while a bit too hot for the cocktail hour, held off the rain, and the evening was simply magical! The appetizers were all delicious, everyone had a different favorite! The dinner was also delicious, with the plated salad and main course, and family style sides working out perfectly, too! The bar flowed smoothly, the waitstaff kept things moving in the background, you took care of everything down to the last detail for us, we are so grateful that we found you! We continue to enjoy the memory of celebrating so beautifully their marriage, thank you again for being a main part of it! We recommend you with 5 stars!!

We made the best choice possible by choosing to have our wedding at The Old Mill! We really could not have picked a better place to share this very special day with those that we love the most! We had our ceremony in the gorgeous meadow, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the stone courtyard and pavilion and our reception in the ballroom. Don and Taylor were absolutely amazing to work with. They were so willing to work with us to make our day perfect and went above and beyond to help us create a wedding that truly spoke to who we are as a couple. The day of our wedding, the venue looked stunning, the food was incredible and the Conner catering staff went above and beyond in trying to be as helpful as possible. This venue and catering combination is 5 star quality! The Old Mill stole our hearts when we first went to visit, and deciding to book this venue was the best decision we made during the entire wedding planning process. If the venue itself wasn't enough, the staff and catering were out of this world. Donald, Taylor and the rest of the Conner catering team were just incredible to work with.
