The band knows how to read the room to meet your guests energy and preferences and keeps them loving song after song. Kyle was immensely helpful leading up to the wedding, genuinely listening to our vision and requests for the night while providing guidance where asked for. The night of Kyle supported us through so many logistical details to ensure every detail went smoothly. They go above and beyond with providing emcee services, impressive dance floor lighting and so much more we didn't even realize we needed. The Riverside Hitmen was the absolute best decision of our wedding planning. Thank you Riverside Hitmen!

he is a great communicator and just a really nice human being. He works with you from the very beginning to get all the information/details and then follows up with you about a month from the wedding to go over your worksheet and flush out any last minute details. On the day of the wedding, he's there setting up and then during the wedding he acts as an announcer and DJ. And then on top of THAT, he performs in the band and is a super talented singer and musician! I mean, seriously, this guy is super-human. Riverside as a vendor is also great because they take care of all of your music/sound needs for your wedding day. We used their pianist and cellist for our processional/recessional music and it was beautiful. During speeches, we used their mic/speakers and the sound was great! And then the dance, oh my goodness the dance. I already knew that Riverside Hitmen were an amazing band after I saw them perform at our friends' wedding, and then again when I saw them perform at a local brewery. But every time I see them, even though they've had different musicians/singers each time, they are consistently amazing. Every song they play doesn't even sound like a cover. And some songs they play sound even better than the original artist. Everyone that performs is uber talented. And they even take song requests from guests, which obviously people loved. We had them play from 8 PM to midnight and we had about 50% of our guests still there at the end of the night because that's how good the band was. It was and will forever be the best decision we made for our wedding and the thing that guests will talk about years later. Worth every penny and then some. If you are considering hiring them, do it! You won't regret it!

d the gang were so compassionate, understanding, and kept the communication open with us at every juncture. We even received a truly heartwarming surprise on what would have been our original wedding date: a virtual rendition of what would have been our first dance song. Planning along the way was a breeze, as Kyle is not only creative, but super organized and very responsive, proactive, and forthcoming. He and the group have a lot of experience with different events, audiences, etc. and were able to make some awesome suggestions on how to make our big day run smoothly, while collaborating on making our vision a reality. We can surely say it was worth the wait to finally have them rock out at our reception two years later. There's not one band member that doesn't slay. Not to mention the production value was top-notch (we didn't realize this, but they had all sorts of high-quality lighting equipment and what appeared to be a dedicated person to make sure the production and sound mixing was on-point the whole night)! All of our friends and family - several of them professional musicians, themselves - were wondering where in the heck we found such a kick-@$$ group. For our ceremony we were graced by Kyle's classical guitar prowess. Going above and beyond, Kyle also helped MC the transitions between different parts of the evening, which eliminated confusion for us and our guests when we were simply caught up in the day. If you're looking for the easiest decision you'll make when planning your event, don't sleep on Kyle and the Riverside Hitmen! They will bring the life and soul to your event without a doubt. he bitter end because they just kept playing the hits. A couple of tips and notes that made them specifically a cut above: 1. The added horn section is a MUST if you're looking to dance all night. A bit of a splurge, but worth every penny. 2. They learn 1 song for free, and they don't mess around with it. My now wife and I had a deep-cut Van Morrison song that was a must for our first dance. They performed it like they'd been playing the song for years. Absolutely incredible attention to detail and making the night as perfect as possible for us. 3. You're not just getting a wedding band with the Riverside Hitmen. Kyle is incredibly organized and on top of things. He was completely willing and able to go out of his way to work with the venue to iron out details, help navigate things like meals, scheduling, etc. so that we didn't have another thing on our plate. He even DJed our cocktail hour, announced a grand entrance, and made sure speeches happened at the right time, all for no additional cost! These guys have perfected the art of creating an environment where you can't help but dance with absolutely no additional headaches. Absolutely incredible!!

He made it his priority to make sure he knew exactly what we were looking for for song selection and we had several correspondences prior to the wedding as well. On the day of our wedding, he also was an excellent MC and kept a good flow of live music and DJing during band breaks. He kept my husband and I updated on the events throughout the night, like when it was time for our entrance, the First Dance, speeches, etc.. Kyle really was just awesome all-around! As for the level of talent for this band, it is out-of-this-world! We hired the Riverside Hitmen All-Stars with additional horns to really add a little extra something special. 100% worth every penny, the horns just killed it on all our favorite horn-heavy songs like anything Stevie Wonder and Uptown Funk. The lead vocalists of the night, Jake and Brianna, were incredible. Brianna nailed, “I Will Always Love You” and Jake sounded just like Prince on, “Purple Rain.” The entire band is extraordinary. Several of my guests kept asking where we found the band; they were the only live band listed on our wedding venue’s Preferred Vendors list. In my family, there have been several weddings with live bands and several family members told me that the Hitmen were the best out of the weddings. I don’t think I could’ve found a better band; I truly believe we got the best of the best. They kept the party going and had an excellent mix of songs all chosen from a list that my husband and I put together. We will carry the most amazing memories of this band and how they brought so much life and fun to our reception.

Then “day of” rolled around and we were incredibly impressed. To begin, Kyle emceeing upon arrival from the ceremony was something I overlooked the importance of in planning, but was a huge benefit. From his knowledge of how to make the event flow as the night evolved, to his upbeat and consistent flow of communication, and finally his sound decisions on timing as the night strayed a bit from the original timeline. He knows weddings inside and out and stepped up and led in an extremely enjoyable and professional manner…so much so, that friends and family actually thought he was someone we knew because he took such great care in leading our night! Finally, and perhaps most importantly – the actual entertainment. The band was so talented top to bottom. While thinking through what we wanted for our night, our only concern with a band was not having Bruno Mars sing Bruno Mars (for example)– would people be left wanting for the original singer? I can honestly say an emphatic no. The singers were talented and energetic and the band was truly top notch. We opted for the horns which we were so glad we did as they had our venue rocking. Guests were buzzing, our dance floor was full all night, and it is one of the most complimented aspects of our night. I hope my thanks to Riverside Hitmen comes through – as my husband and I are so glad that we chose them. They made our night! We’ve all experienced a bad band/DJ, so I wanted to make sure that my experience was documented for those looking to make their decision :)

of that glowing praise, here are some things we found useful in making the decision to go with the Hitmen: 1. Kyle is _excellent_ w/ communication. He was remarkably prompt in getting back with me (even before we booked) and was always thorough in his answers to questions. 2. They have a great system in place to get you ready for your event, which makes working with them very easy. 3. The band has an _enormous_ list of songs they can play that spans many decades/genres: https://www.riversideentertainmentmn.com/riverside-hitmen-riverside-all-star 4. On top of that, they learn one song for your event free of charge and can learn addn. songs. This made for a very memorable first dance for us and was a highlight of the night. 5. In addition to the band, you're getting a DJ and emcee for announcements/toasts/etc... Kyle's clearly an experienced pro at emcee'ing and rolled with anything we gave him (including some requests during the reception). 6. The band takes 2 breaks during the course of the evening. These are nice "intermissions" where your guests can take a break from dancing and recharge/refill. Plus, Kyle DJ's during that time, so it's a great chance to get in songs you may want to hear that would otherwise clear the dance floor. 7. Experience - can't stress enough how much the band and Kyle's level of experience made things easier for us. When we met, they had recommendations for songs I wouldn't have played, but that were _big_ hits on the dance floor. 8. Flexibility - You have the ability to make your night as customized (or not) as you want. One thing I really appreciated was Kyle's willingness to let us input on the setlist. It really helped the night stay true to our vision for the reception. Of the many aspects of our reception, we received the most compliments on the band. If you're thinking band or DJ, I highly recommend going with a band. The difference in energy, fun, and enjoyment for your guests is huge and the Hitmen are awesome at what they do!

The covers of their songs sound exactly like the originals. I was expecting them to be good, but I wasn't expecting them to be THAT good. We were so impressed. Our favorite part of the night was when the band invited my husband up onto the stage to play cowbell with them during a couple of their songs. That totally made my husbands night and will be a memory he never forgets. I had mentioned to Kyle that Coldplay was my favorite band. During the dance the band surprised me with a Coldplay song specially dedicated to me. Just another example of them going above and beyond to make us feel special. I would high recommend them for ANY event!!!

Kyle is great to work with and executed exactly the way I wanted it. Their music is fantastic! They play everything from Frank Sinatra for the older crowd, to Prince and Bruno Mars, and everything in between. The dance floor was filled the entire time they played! We love them!

best wedding band we’ve ever experienced was our own wedding!

got on the phone with us a few weeks before and ironed out the details. They have a thorough Google Doc that you fill out to make sure everything is perfect the day of. Kyle did a great job MCing throughout the night and DJing the ceremony. They sounded perfect on every song. Great mix of slow dancing, upbeat and sing-along songs. Amazing work on father/daughter, mother/son, first and last dance (dang the sax KILLED it on Just the Two of Us!). Don't skimp on a DJ get the Riverside Hitmen. It will be money well spent. We still have people raving about how much fun they had and how great the band was.

brass trio addition for the ceremony to create a full 9-piece band, and don't regret it for a second. We were shocked to see even the older, more reserved guests getting up and getting down on the dance floor! We heard nothing but compliments from our guests during the wedding, and the next day at our brunch. The music never sounded like a cover band, but instead like Ray Lamontagne...then Prince...then Bono...were all literally in the room performing for us. Such insane talent!! And my favorite moment of the night (other than the whole marrying the love of my life thing): being invited to join the band to play some epic cowbell. I think I crushed it. ;-) Kyle really took the time to get to know us, and was not only an incredible band leader, but also a DJ and an attentive emcee throughout the whole evening from start to finish. His attention to detail was impressive and appreciated. He even offered himself up to help florists, caterers, or whoever needed an extra hand before the event! Kyle & RHM crew, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for making our celebration so memorable. We look forward to finding you for your performances around the cities in the future!

with horn section play for four hours at the reception, I feel the price was very reasonable. Kyle was super accommodating. My bride is from Nigeria, and the morning of the big day, she sent Kyle a bunch of African music for the DJ to play during the band's breaks. Even with that late notice, without hesitation, Kyle found all the songs online and had them ready. Having the African music was a nice touch that was very much appreciated by my bride's family. All night long our guests asked, "Where did you find this band? They are amazing!" I booked the band without ever seeing them in person, and I am extremely happy I did. The Riverside Hitmen are incredible. If you are considering booking a band, you cannot go wrong with The Riverside Hitmen. Kyle and the rest of The Riverside Hitmen, thanks for everything. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and I am definitely going to listen to them and dance when they play at Mancini's! Did I mention they are awesome!

All our guests kept commenting to us how amazing the music was, how talented these guys were and most of all how much FUN the dancing was. oing to festivals & bars in search of the BEST band. When I finally saw Riverside Hitmen play, I almost cried because I knew my search was over! They have it all! They provided lights & a sound system with cocktail/dinner hour music and an emcee until the band played (for 4 hours!). They even DJ’d great music during their two short breaks which kept people on the dance floor- and their transition back into their set list was second to none! You know the band is great when the dance floor is still full by the end of the night. Our friends & family are still raving about how absolutely awesome they were... and I still can’t stop smiling! These people are the most talented, personable musicians I have ever had the pleasure to work with! Kyle was a great communicator- always prompt to respond! He’s the best! And he can seriously shred on the guitar! I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this band! (But only if you want it to be the best night ever!!!!)

ent wedding a little bit jealous! My mother-law and I had "dance hangovers". We were able to request 1 song for them to learn - but I have a feeling they know a lot. Popular to classics - I'd say this was probably my best wedding investment! Aside from the performance, they were very attentive and answering emails within about 24 hours. They were easy to talk to and reviewed our day with us on a call. They had ideas for games and different things to break up the evening. In the end I don't think we did any of them because everyone was having so much fun dancing, and when they took a break, we needed one too!
