The Riverside Hitmen

I had the absolute honor to work with Riverside Hitmen a few weeks ago at a wedding and they were PHENOMENAL!! By far one of my favorite bands now!! Kyle was so great with communication leading up to the wedding, and the day of was no exception. He was always checking in and overall was amazing to work with. I look forward to working with them again in the future!

Hiring the Riverside Hitmen was easily one of our best wedding decisions. We could not recommend them more highly. Their energy, talent, and professionalism really made our celebration come together. We had a number of guests tell us that our reception was the best they had ever attended, and then immediately mentioned the band as the highlight of the evening. -------- Many of our guests raved about the quality of the musicianship and vocals…including some family members from New Orleans, who have very high expectations for live music! The videos posted on the Riverside Hitmen’s website do NOT do justice to the experience. At several points in the night (such as during the guitar solo in Purple Rain), the handful of musicians in attendance dropped whatever they were doing to approach the stage and just watch the performance. And the setlist kept the dance floor lively (from kids to great-grandparents and everyone in between) by both incorporating our specific requests and anticipating the songs that would keep the party going. Even our guests who are not musically inclined have commented on how special it was to get so many people across so many generations dancing together. -------- As an example of the Riverside Hitmen’s willingness to go above and beyond – we made the somewhat unusual request of asking them to learn an instrumental rock piece (Edgar Winter’s Frankenstein) as our “special song.” We would’ve been perfectly happy with a minimal, basic rendition, but the band completely threw themselves into the performance, to the extent that I heard multiple people discussing the drum solo(!!) afterwards. It was a real testament to the pride they take in their work (and the fun they appear to have while doing it). We’re so grateful for how they showed up for our special day. -------- What’s more, Kyle was a delight to work with throughout the planning process. He was friendly, responsive, gave great advice when asked, and always made us feel like we were in good hands. The preparation was smooth, communication was great, and the pricing was transparent and felt extremely reasonable (especially for the awesome experience we received). -------- Protip: add the horn section. Getting the horns was probably the best money we spent on our whole wedding. The rest of the band is great, but the horns really leveled up the whole experience.

This band is seriously THE BEST and we can't recommend them enough. They're incredibly talented musicians and also very professional, kind, and easy to work with. Kyle is super organized and responsive; He had great advice on ways to keep everything running smoothly and was so helpful from start to finish. They made excellent song choices and everyone had an absolute blast dancing! Even the handful of people who have refused to dance for all the years/decades that we have known them, were on the dance floor and loving it! We had SO much fun and booking them was easily the best reception planning decision that we made. We had our guests over for coffee the next morning and everyone raved about how amazing they were. Enormous thank you to the Riverside Hitmen for making our party so much fun!!

We have them at 5 stars because 6 stars wasn’t an option. As they played at our wedding reception, we lost count the number of times people were in complete awe of the band’s talent and asked us “Where in the world did you find this band?!" Riverside Hitmen created the perfect atmosphere to keep everyone dancing on the floor all night, mixing in classics, beloved pop songs and everything in between - and doing so with incredible talent and energy. It was nothing short of magical - it was a joy to have our friends and family call it “one of the best receptions they’ve ever been part of.” As for logistics, working with Riverside Hitmen was a breeze from start to finish. And given their price tag, they might be not only the best value wedding band around but the best value of all wedding expenses.

The Riverside Hitmen were absolutely incredible, couldn’t have asked for better entertainment filled with singing and dancing until the very last song! Kyle was amazing to work with, so prepared and made everything so seamless for us to make our day perfect. If you are looking for band that will have your guests on the dance floor all night long, you have found them in the Riverside Hitmen! We hope to see them at other weddings we attend in the future!

The band was PHENOMENAL. They are so talented and can play a variety of music. They read the room so well and kept people on the dance floor all night long. Communication was seamless and they honored our must play/do not play lists. We got so many compliments on the band and they were the most worthwhile investment.

Riverside Hitmen were absolutely fantastic. Kyle was so fantastic in organizing everything and we couldn’t have done it without him. The band was a hit and I had countless people ask me who this amazing band was. They made our wedding so memorable and a ton of fun. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to include them in our day. 1000/10 recommend.

The Riverside Hitmen was the best part of our wedding! From start to finish they were incredible to work with, they were very responsive, they gave us suggestions and advice and made our wedding day seamless. We got married a few weeks ago and we still have friends telling us how great the band was and even asked if they travel out of state to work their events. Hiring the Riverside Hitmen was the best vendor decision we made and would make it over and over again.

The Riverside All Stars played at our daughter’s wedding last weekend. They were excellent!! The dance floor was filled all night. I would highly recommend them for any event. Thank you for the great time!

We just had the Riverside Hitmen plus the horns for our wedding and they were INCREDIBLE!! We got raving reviews from all of our guests and we don’t have a bad thing to say about them. The singers sounded exactly like each artist of the song they were covering. Cannot recommend them enough!

Truly no words can adequately say how incredible this band was for our wedding night at The Whim. They had people on the dance floor all night long. We hired the 10 piece band and it was the BEST money we ever spent on our wedding day. Kyle, who leads the band, is the most organized, detail oriented, FUN, kind and professional we worked with throughout our wedding process. He also MC'd the event after cocktail hour. We had guests coming up to us all night telling us how amazing they were and how much fun of a night they had. I cant say enough about them and would not ever look at another band or DJ!!! HIRE THEM!

We hired the Riverside Allstars and absolutely LOVED them. This was definitely the biggest splurge for our wedding but I really was adamant about having a live band but I wanted to make sure they were good. I was definitely nervous about spending this much and not really knowing what I was getting outside of reviews and their online videos. But I can say it was 100% worth it! A lot of our guests had not seen a live band at a wedding and said they were incredible. We had so much fun, the only downside was the night went too quickly! I am located in Eastern Iowa and some of the reasons we went with the all stars were responsiveness, Kyle was fantastic with the communication and planning prior. Then a major factor was their website. When I was looking around so many bands had demo soundtracks but no actual videos of their performances. When you are looking for a band with energy that will keep the crowd going its impossible to do from a soundtrack. Again, 100% would recommend them. They sounded incredible, had fantastic energy, and you get such a wide range of music that they can play since they have so many band members that are able to lead sing. I cannot say enough good things. If you are on the fence and have the budget, I say go for it!

We had the best experience with The Riverside Hitmen. They were so easy to work with. Very well organized. Walked us step through step in planning the music for our ceremony, DJ for cocktail hour, and of course the live band for the reception. Our dance floor was FULL the whole night and many of our guests told us that was the most fun reception they had ever attended (largely thanks to the amazing band!!!). Would book Riverside Hitmen again and again if I have the opportunity.

We had The Riverside Unplugged acoustic trio at our wedding on 7/12/24. They are incredible and it is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We got married at the Lynhall and had a more "intimate" wedding of 70 guests. We had a three piece acoustic trio for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and first dance. They were AMAZING. Our guests were raving about their talent. So much talent we cannot say enough about them. Kyle then switched over and DJ'ed for the rest of the night. Kyle is outstanding and did an incredible job. For a smaller wedding, we were shocked at how the dance floor was bumping all night long. We had so much fun. Kyle and his band were super easy to work with from start to end.

Kyle and the rest of the band were amazing! So easy to work with, great band who played all our favorite songs and helped organize the music the day of our wedding. They made the dance floor a hit! Must-hire.

Riverside Hitman was incredible at our wedding! Kyle was amazing to work with and always responded so quickly! He was also a great emcee for the night! The band was so phenomenal and all of our musically inclined friends were impressed with their skills! I highly recommend using them! They really kept the party going all night!

Where do I even begin? I'm not a huge review guy, but if I were to ever give out a 5 star review, it would be to Kyle and the Riverside Hitmen. Kyle was incredible to work with as he demonstrated patience, experience, and ingenuity as he helped us prepare for our wedding day. And the talent that the band members brought to the party, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I can't tell you how many people commented on how amazing and fun the band was. We extend our heartfelt gratitude and praise to Kyle and the Riverside Hitmen.

Look no further for a wedding band. Just book them! Kyle was so helpful and I really appreciated how communicative he was. He wanted our day to be as unique to us as possible. The musicians are extremely talented and our guests were blown away. They play a wide variety of genres so there’s something for everyone. I cannot recommend them enough!!

The Riverside Hitmen did an incredible job! I cannot recommend them enough. From the initial touchpoint through day-of, Kyle was extremely responsive, helpful and so easy to work with. The talent the Hitmen have is off the charts...a lot of guests were talking about it after. 10/10! Don't hesitate - BOOK THEM!

The Riverside Hitmen were absolutely amazing at our wedding! Kyle was so helpful the entire process and was very detailed, and clearly had so much experience in what he is doing that I felt so comfortable letting him and the band handle our big day. He did our ceremony music, emceed our grand March and helped with speeches. Then the band took over and wow…. They were so so incredible!! They learned our first dance song for us which was amazing, and then rocked the party all night. We got so many compliments from our guests about how it was the most dancing they’d ever seen at a wedding and how much fun it was. Getting on the dance floor was one of the more important parts of the night for our husband and I, and the this band did not let us down as everyone danced all night! And the lead singer Monique was just insanely talented. We are so so happy we chose this band for our special night!!!

Incredibly helpful in the planning stages. We received a good deal of advice that was really helpful. They were also flexible with last minute changes. But truly, this band will have your guests on their feet for the entire duration of their set. They make a phenomenal, fun atmosphere, and we received a lot of compliments from friends and family for picking such a great band. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

Stop looking and hire this band for your wedding! They did an amazing job keeping the party going, had great range, and played an awesome selection of songs from different eras and genres. Plus they were incredibly easy to work with, super helpful with planning out the day, and did a great job keeping things on schedule. Our venue also had some special requirements and they were great about accommodations which made everything less stressful. Kyle was the most organized wedding vendor I worked with and Anthony executed our day perfectly. Our guests had a great time and we got many compliments and questions along the lines of “where did you find this amazing band?!”

I literally cannot put into words how happy we are with this band, but I will try. We were BLOWN AWAY by how incredible they were. They had such a fun energy, played a range of songs/genres (which was important to us), and our guests have not stopped talking about how great they were! Kyle was also SO easy to work with during the planning process. We had a few phone calls beforehand, talking about music ideas for the setlist and ceremony, and he helped with any questions we had. The pianist for our ceremony was also willing to learn songs for us which made it even more special! Overall, we had a phenomenal experience and are looking for an excuse to hire this band for another party!

HIRE THIS BAND!!! The voices and musicians are high quality (better in real life than online videos), the playlist was awesome (they read the room and modified as they went), the dance floor was FULL all night, and multiple people approached us afterwards wanting the band's contact info. Adding the horns was a great decision because they were oh so good and fun! Kyle knew how to get the best sound from the Hutton House and had great recommendations on how to get the party started (opening photo on the dance floor and then there's no excuse not to dance!) and going strong. Kyle was great at quick and clear communications, and was a kind man to work with. We loved having The Riverside Hitmen at our daughter's wedding. Cost includes 3 horns and ceremony package - a great decision to have Kyle do everything.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Our dance floor was packed and poppin the entire night thanks to the Riverside Hitmen. Dozens of guests have told us that they are the best live band they've heard in years. Monique brought us all to TEARS with "I Will Always Love You". Kyle was super attentive and did a great job emcee-ing and making sure we had everything we needed. We had a blast thanks to the Riverside Hitmen - hire them for your wedding or event!!

We planned our wedding date around Riverside HItment and it was the best decision we ever made. Absolute HIT. I can't thank Kyle and his band enough for making our big day that much more special! From the seamless execution of our lakeside ceremony, to jazz music during cocktail hour, grand entrance organization and playing the hits all night long it's all our guests could talk about. I hope we are able to attend a wedding where they are playing at in the future.

We picked our wedding date on Riverside Hitmen's availability and wow I am SO glad we did!! We've seen them at three other weddings and joke that they are now a family band ;) but I wouldn't want any other band to be a family band. Our guests still can't stop talking about how great they were. One of my bridesmaids said "when you told me you had a band, I didn't think they'd be that great but they blew my expectations out of the water!" Our dance floor was rocking all night long and the variety and entertainment they provided made our day perfect. Kyle was awesome to work with and you could just tell that he truly cared about us and was excited for us. We added on the horns and that made the band even better! Our wedding was so memorable and Riverside Hitmen made it even better. I highly recommend booking them (if you can, they book up FAST) and hope we get to experience them at another wedding soon!

If you want entertainment at your wedding/event that will get everyone out on the dance floor than this is it! I cannot say enough good things about Kyle and the whole band. They are INCREDIBLE. Every single one of them. I have not stopped hearing about how amazed people were by their talents since our wedding and would recommend them to anyone. Kyle has been such a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process of planning every details for our wedding and was such a help the day of with it running so smoothly. Amazing. That's literally the only word to describe these guys (and gals!). From the beginning, Kyle was as nice as could be (and patient since I had no idea what I was doing 😂🤣). Made me feel comfortable, had a ton of positive thoughts and really made me and my husband feel comfortable. They rolled with the punches and were just awesome about everything. The day of when I met the rest of the band, everyone was so nice and they absolutely nailed it performing. People are still commenting on them and several have asked for their information to attend any public events in the future. There are not enough words to capture how amazing The Riverside Hitmen are! We had them at our wedding on 10/6/23 and we couldn't be happier with how everything went. They kept the dance floor packed all night long and our guests said they truly felt like they were at a concert because the band was just that amazing. Kyle and his team are absolutely incredible. Not only are they enthusiastic about what they do, but they are organized, prompt, fun to work with, and absolutely rock it! We had them for our wedding and I received such wonderful feedback from my guests. It felt like we were front row at a concert all night, and the variety of music they played kept everyone engaged and enjoying the night. I couldn’t recommend these guys more!!

Riverside Entertainment is the best of the best, I would 1,000% recommend including them as a part of your event! We hired the Hitmen and the brass trio for our August 2023 wedding and they made it such an incredible day. Kyle is truly an expert in the event industry and offered his guidance throughout our wedding planning. The band played for nearly 4 (!) hours straight and nailed every single song. From jazz to rock to pop, they can do it all! They even take on the fly requests which was such a treat for our guests. Our dance floor was packed the whole night. Even for the non-dancers, the band was excellent entertainment to watch from the sidelines. Truly the best investment we made for our wedding and I wish we could party with the Riverside Hitmen every weekend! Thanks again Kyle and band members!

Kyle Tennis, bandleader & MC, and the Riverside Hitmen were amazing at our daughter & son-in-law's wedding reception on July 8, 2023. They made the evening and reception a tremendous success with literally everyone dancing the night away. Guests were so impressed by the incredibly talented musicians and vocalists. Many guests have followed up to share it was their most enjoyable reception! Everyone, young & old, had a wonderful time. Kyle is a pleasure to work with and the best MC ever! This is our second wedding reception with Kyle & the Riverside Hitmen as they performed for our older daughter & son-in-law's wedding reception 2 years ago. Both weddings tremendous successes attributed to the spectacular music and fun dancing!

Our nephew, a music guy, described the band as a 20 out of 10. We all loved the band and wish we could have danced all night! Kyle did a great job emceeing including pulling off some very detailed, custom announcements. Monique was amazing! The sound quality was perfect. We hired the jazz trio first for the cocktail hour and the trio was also excellent. We will be groupies for any public performance! Thank you all so much!

Riverside Hitmen stole the show!! We would absolutely recommend booking this band for your wedding! The band was full of incredible singers and performers! So many of our guests said it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. The band had our dance floor packed all night! They learned our first dance song and played it exactly like the recording they sent, which was helpful with our choreography. They were amazing!

Worth every cent!! Kyle is a tried and true master wedding emcee and was super helpful to help us even with our wedding day timeline! Kyle, Anthony, and the rest of the Hitmen crew were far and away the best vendors to work with. Communication and logistics were streamlined so my wife and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Anthony (our soundman/all around great guy) ran sound for the ceremony and speeches during dinner. I required a guitar to serenade my wife during my speech. Anthony was instrumental in getting all of the tech together to let me do this. The reception itself couldn't have gone better. We hired the full band with the horn section (highly recommend!!!). Many of our guests were professional musicians so standards were high for any wedding band we were to hire. Riverside Hitmen far exceeded any expectations we had. The band brought high energy, fun and superb musicality that really elevated the party throughout the night. Our guests were blown away at how good the band sounded. People have still been buzzing about the band, weeks after our wedding. Do yourself a huge favor by hiring the best!

Kyle and the Riverside Hitmen are ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! The best decision we made for our wedding was hiring them, I can't recommend them enough. They are super responsive in the planning stage and organized. During the event, they helped keep things moving on time and also MC'ed during the night. The musicians are so talented and we had a packed dance floor from start to finish. We added the horns section which I would recommend for some added fun! We also added a silent disco to the end of our night and they were super accommodating and helpful, we didn't need to worry about a thing!

We cannot recommend The Riverside Hitmen highly enough! They are one of the most fun and engaging bands we've ever seen, and our guests were raving about them all week after our wedding. Kyle makes everything so easy and makes an incredible effort to make your wedding day the best day possible. Everything from creating a great playlist for the ceremony and cocktail hour, to learning your chosen songs for first dances, and of course the amazing performances of the and band crew, they should definitely be first on everyone's choice for a wedding band. It was the best decision we made for our wedding!

If I could give them 10 stars I would. From the very first interaction with Kyle to the last song of our wedding this group is a complete class act. They were able to provide us with a pianist for our ceremony even though it was not at the same location as our reception and an MC and background music for our cocktail hour in addition to the band for reception. As for the band, I don’t even know where to begin. They brought the party all night and there was not a single moment that we had more people sitting at their tables than we did on the dance floor. Seriously the dance floor was packed the entire night. I lost count of how many guests came up to my wife and I to let us know that this was the best band they have ever seen. Every band member was a true professional. The RSH made our wedding day the best day ever!! They were worth every last penny!

Is more than 5 stars an option? The Riverside Hitmen are nothing less than perfect! Kyle was great to work with prior to and during our big day. No words can describe how great these guys are. We have the Riverside Hitmen to thank for our dance floor being packed the entire night. If we could give one piece of advice to any couple planning a wedding, it would be to get a band (THESE GUYS) instead of a DJ. We are already looking at their calendar so we can enjoy them all over again!

No words can describe how amazing the Riverside Hitmen were for our big day. It was absolutely PERFECT! I may be partial but I have never been to a wedding with the dance floor as packed as our was all night long. They kept the night moving and everyone engaged. All we keep hearing about over and over is how great the music and dance was. Kyle was AMAZING to work with as well. He was there for anything and everything leading up to the wedding as well as day off. I truly can’t recommend them all enough!

This is your band! I attended a wedding that the Riverside Hitmen played at and knew I wanted them for my own wedding. They made the night so memorable and kept people on the dance floor all night long! Their DJ services for social hour and when the band takes a break is top notch. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

This band exceeded our expectations for our December 2022 wedding! The communication leading up to the big day was professional and timely. We had a piano and cello for our ceremony that did a phenomenal job. We chose the 10 piece band (horns included) for the wedding dance and we highly recommend it! The lead vocalists had a very impressive range and they had versatile music choices. Our guests are still complimenting the band days later.
