The Williams Inn

The Williams Inn was the perfect venue for our Williamstown wedding! The staff was incredibly friendly and helped make our wedding reception feel special, and our guests loved the rooms and convenience to town. I would highly recommend!

The Williams Inn did an absolutely fantastic job on our wedding day. I am located more in the Saratoga NY area, but was hoping to find a true hotel/event venue so that nobody had to travel far once they got to the venue. The Williams Inn fit the bill, and they had an open date (which was amazing considering I only started planning at the end of April, for a Nov 2024 wedding... so literally 6 months). We contacted Sarah and did a site visit, and the grounds and hotel are literally stunning. I knew it would be the perfect place for our wedding. Going in with a November date, we knew that we'd either get lucky with the weather and be able to do an outdoor ceremony, or do it indoors. We had an AMAZING tasting for the wedding... seriously, their onsite chef is out of this world. Truly understands flavors and how to elevate even a simple dish. It made it SO hard to narrow down the choices for both passed hors d'oeuvres and the salad/main entrees.. but this is a good problem to have. It was so convenient to not have to worry about hiring a separate caterer, which you could if you wanted to.. but trust me, you don't want to ! As we got closer to the day, it was definitely going to be cold and possibly raining in the morning so we decided to do the ceremony indoors. They use the ballroom for the indoor ceremonies, and the large windows served as a beautiful backdrop and allowed tons of natural light which I loved. It was a little bit cramped, as we had just over 100 guests, but that is ok. It was only for the ceremony which was shorter. We didn't spend any extra money on extra decor and lighting or crazy complex florals, and I personally think it was a good choice. The venue itself is beautiful and because of that it really doesn't need expensive additions. We hired a local DJ and the local florist at Market 32 and both did a fantastic job with the spaces. The venue actually has a triangular arch, which was free to use. They provided table numbers for us. Again just so many less things for ME to worry about! We actually ended up getting cakes delivered from a bakery more local to us and that went off without a hitch as well! We decided to do something a little unusual, we requested a table for 3 different flavors of cake so that our guests could go up on their own and choose at their whim. Everyone loved it, and Sarah and the venue were perfect in accommodating that request for us! Everyone raved about the food, and said the cocktail hour was amazing. We unfortunately missed it all because we were taking advantage of the sunshine that opened up opportunity for us to do photos on the back area - the trail out back was also prime location for beautiful afternoon sun pictures! Overall, I am so happy with how everything turned out and wouldn't change a thing. It is not one of your cheaper venues, but they are worth it. Sometimes communication was a little challenging but in the end literally everything got done and exceeded my expectations. Sarah and the entire team at the Williams did a phenomenal job and if you are having a smaller wedding of 100 or less, I would absolutely recommend you to use this venue. You won't regret it! Worth noting - they do not offer a free room for the bride and groom, but I booked one of the king suites for the entire weekend and I am so glad I did. It was not cheap, but worth it. It provided a perfect place for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready and another stunning place for photos! Has an extra half bath!
