We had a great experience having our rehearsal dinner at the Windlass! The staff was great and the food was delicious. We had a private room with a nice view of the lake. The process of planning was very easy and smooth. Definitely recommend for smaller events such as rehearsal dinners or bridal showers.
I recently held my daughter’s Bridal Shower at Alice’s in Lake Hopatcong and cannot say enough about how great it all turned out. Donna, who was my contact beforehand, was so reassuring that everything would be great, and it was, and she was so prompt getting back to me whenever I had questions or concerns. Kerry and Arianna were my contacts the day of the shower and both were fantastic, very attentive, supportive, helpful and a pleasure to work with. Frances the chef did an amazing job with the food and presentation of the desserts. Everyone raved about the beautiful view and how good the food was (especially the salmon and salad!) Happy guests, happy bride-to-be, happy host = one great successful Bridal Shower! I would highly recommend Alice’s in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a place to host an event.
Hosted rehearsal dinner for my son and daughter-in-law. Staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. Started off with pizza and pitchers of sangria upon arrival followed by dinner. Beautiful setting with sunset that night. Food was great, we all greatly enjoyed ourselves. Would highly recommend Windlass!!
Wonderful space for a rehearsal dinner! Everyone loved the space and the food was incredible. The service staff were so pleasant and the booking process was super quick and smooth. We will definitely be going back to enjoy a nice summer day a this restaurant!
We held a luncheon to celebrate my son and daughter in-laws first baby. The event was a success with guest raving about the food and what a good time they had. The staff was professional and helped in the planning and execution of the event. Thank you to all!

I had my daughter's bridal shower at The Windlass. The Lake Room was absolutely beautiful with a pretty view of the lake! The food was delicious and everything was served as scheduled. The staff "working" the room were just awesome!
The entire staff including Kimberly were Debo. They were extremely responsive to any questions we had and the day was a huge success. Everything went perfectly and the food was fabulous for my son and future daughter-in-law’s engagement party.
The Windlass was a great pick for our rehearsal dinner. The views were breathtaking and our guests raved about the quality of service by the waitstaff. Although it was a bit expensive for the number of people in attendance given their food & beverage minimums, we felt that the food was good quality. They also were gracious enough to offer gluten free alternatives for our gluten free guests. The gluten free cake was also stellar.
I had my daughter’s bridal shower there this past weekend. The quality of the food was outstanding and the service by the 2 servers (Sarah and I believe, Analisa) were just wonderful. Many of my guests complimented on their service. The room was bright and had a view of the lake. I highly recommend The Windlass for any event or just for a meal there.
I had my husband's 30th birthday party at The Windlass and I have nothing but great things to say! I worked with Brittany and Kimberly and they were extremely helpful & always responded to my emails in a timely manner. My friends and family are still raving about how delicious the food was weeks later. Our servers who worked the party the day of were also great! They were very attentive to all of the guests. Last but not least, the view is so beautiful! I highly recommend The Windlass for any couple who is looking for a place to have an engagement party or rehearsal dinner.
Prevention is Key’s fundraising events hosted by The Windlass have become a staple in our organization's annual calendar. The venue is beautiful, the staff is accommodating, the food is delicious, and the sunsets over Lake Hopatcong; legendary! We recommend The Windlass for your upcoming event.
Hosted a college graduation celebration at The Windlass and was not disappointed at all. Guests raved about the food, the service was outstanding. They exceeded my expectations. Oh, and the view was amazing. I recommend The Windlass to anyone looking for a venue and am confident they will be as pleased as I was.
We typically eat here at least once a week and I must say I was extremely pleased with the 2 parties The Windlass provided to my family and I. The first one was for my mother's surprise 75th birthday on Friday and the very next day was my daughters high school graduation party. Service, Staff and food were incredible. If I am hosting another event, I will be coming back to the Windlass. Kim and Brittany were extremely helpful.
The Windlass provided a beautiful venue for my Son's Wedding Rehearsal dinner. The staff were friendly and so very helpful. The food was excellent and the private room was just perfect. Would highly recommend this great spot on the lake.
