We had Chris G from Toast & Jam as our DJ for our wedding in December at Chicago Winery and he was INCREDIBLE!! He played the saxophone along with DJ'ing, and was the star of the show coming out on the dance floor and just lighting it up! We got so many compliments about how great he was and the dance floor never lulled. He was also so great to work with leading up to the wedding, totally understanding our vibe and curating a perfect playlist for all ages! Hire Chris and Toast & Jam for your wedding!!

We loved working with Paul from Toast & Jam! His experience and professionalism made working with him a breeze. He used his expertise to help guide our music choice, mics, speakers, etc. to ensure a seamless wedding. He was super collaborative on music choices and listened to what we wanted. In the end, he was spot-on with everything and kept people on the dance floor and having a good time! We also received many positive comments from our friends and family who really enjoyed the music (from the cocktail hour through the reception). We couldn't recommend Paul enough!

Our wedding was 4 months ago, and people are still reaching out and telling me we had the best DJs they’d ever heard at a wedding! Guests genuinely didn’t think they were wedding DJs (in the best way possible lol) We got the perfect blend of our requested songs and crowd favorites. The dance floor was full all night! Cannot recommend them enough!

Elam was such an awesome complement to my wedding night party. They took care to find out about mine and my wife's styles and preferences ahead of time, and absolutely nailed it the night of. They were completely invested and involved in the night, but I never once felt like they were overstepping their bounds. Elam balanced mine and my wife's differing musical preferences in a cohesive way. A good Dj can set the tone and make a party good. A great DJ, like Elam, reads the room and makes a party into a celebration.

I'm very glad we picked Toast and Jam for our wedding. Rachel was an awesome DJ and MC. She played all of our favorites, even songs and artists that we mentioned in passing that we liked. All of our guests loved the dance music playlist too. The equipment was very high quality, the speakers sounded great and the microphones were very audible and understandable. Rachel worked on both our ceremony and reception.

THE BEST!! We loved our DJ Chris so much! It was really important to us that we had an awesome dancefloor at our wedding and Chris delivered. He totally got the vibe we were going for and what music we like after our first meeting. Working with Chris and planning the music for our ceremony + reception was so easy and we trusted him completely. T&J's sample list was a huge help to us and our DJ Chris. Communicating with T&J was seamless as well. Cannot recommend Toast & Jam enough and Chris! Thank you both so much for everything you did for us!

T&J did an incredible job at our Oct 2024 wedding! We worked with Rachel and she knocked it out of the park. She kept the exact vibe we were going for for each part of our day - from the pre ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, & of course dancing. She understood and stuck to our vision and vibe. I received several texts the next day saying "12/10 dance floor". She also accommodated a last minute ask from my dad, who wanted to have part of a song play as part of his wedding toast and it meant so much to my husband and I that she worked with him.

Toast and Jam did an amazing job with our wedding! They were professional, personal, their website and client portal were easy to use, and they were a hit at our wedding. Music is very important for me and my wife and this vendor came recommended by our venue when we expressed our want for a non-male DJ for our queer wedding. At the beginning of the process, we did phone meetings with both the owner and our prospective DJ where we talked about our music taste, and they listened to our needs for our big day. They were accommodating about our strange request to only play our two favorite artists for the last hour of our reception, and even excited about the idea. About two months before our wedding, we were told that our original DJ assigned to us had left the company, and we were reassigned to a new, male DJ. When we reached out to the company to remind them about our request for a non-male DJ, the owner of the company herself, Mary Nisi, took it upon herself to take our date. We then had an in person meeting with her where we were able to talk though all the tiny details of our big day, down to our must plays and do not plays. The day of the wedding, everything went smoothly. The dance floor was never empty, Mary emceed wonderfully, and we got many compliments from our guests. I would definitely recommend Toast and Jam for your event!

Damani was the best DJ! He understood the vibe we wanted for our wedding and created a night full of Motown and oldies!! Everyone kept complimenting our DJ and the music picks!! No one left the dance floor.

I cannot express enough how amazing DJ Damani and the whole Toast & Jam team is. The dance floor at our reception was packed and jumping the entire night. There was music for everyone and the anniversary dance was the perfect way to get everything started. We gave DJ Damani complete freedom and he absolutely nailed, everyone commented that our wedding was the most fun they’ve had in a long time!!! Would recommend him and this team to anyone!

Toast & Jam (specifically, DJ Kate) was our DJ at our recent wedding and DJ Kate absolutely CRUSHED it! The dance floor was literally packed the entire night. Multiple people told me that it was literally the best playlist at a wedding they've ever heard. People also told me they barely left the dance floor because they loved every song that was played. Kate is a complete pro at feeling out the vibe of a crowd and giving the people what they want! She had a great balance between older and newer songs. She is also very kind and easy to work with. We were nervous about our first dance, but she worked with us to ease anxiety and cut the song down to a time/ending point we were comfortable with. I am so grateful we hired Kate! DJ Mary McKane was absolutely fantastic from the beginning of our wedding planning process, all the way to the last song on our wedding night. She was very helpful in helping us think of all the important songs we needed throughout the day. We had specific requests for what time we wanted a song to start or end & she perfectly executed it! We also had a lot of specific songs that we wanted to hear throughout the night and she ensured that they were all played. We received many compliments from the guests about how awesome the music was. Our guests & ourselves did not want to leave the dance floor all night!

Alli from Toast and Jam is absolutely incredible! Not only is she professional and talented but she also is a super cool gal. She was extremely helpful with suggestions for our ceremony music. We knew what kind of vibe we were going for but didn't know how to execute it correctly. She created it perfectly. Everything was flawless and our dance floor was filled. 100% hire ALLI, you won't be disappointed.

We worked with Toast & Jam for the DJ for our wedding, and they were great! Brenna Dean, our DJ, was phenomenal. She did such a great job incorporating all our favorite songs and hits from different decades that our parents' generation and ours were up dancing most of the night. Would definitely recommend, especially if you can work with Brenna!

Hire them-- they're professional, they know exactly when the beat drops in every song to time your entrances well. Chris G was INCREDIBLE and just GOT our taste in music. We had an incredible wedding day, and our DJ Emily played a big part in making it so special. Many friends and family expressed how great she was as our DJ and how much fun they had on our dance floor. We appreciated that she started the night with some crowd-pleasers and then really dove into the early 2000s and more recent R&B/pop hits. It felt like the dancing never died down, which was one of our goals for the night. It was a blast!

We had been to two weddings prior to our own who used Toast & Jam as their DJ and they were some of the most fun weddings we’ve ever been to, in large part because of their music and dance floor. We knew right away when we started wedding planning that we wanted to use Toast & Jam. Our wedding DJ was Kate and she certainly did not disappoint. The dancefloor at our wedding was packed all night and we got multiple compliments that night and after our wedding about how great our DJ was. If you want your wedding to be a party, do yourself a favor and hire Toast & Jam for your wedding DJ!

DJ Chris, who we hired through Toast and Jam, did an excellent job DJng our wedding. He was very communicative during the whole process leading up to the wedding. He was flexible and eager to accommodate our requests and worked with us to implement our ideas. He did a great job keeping the dance floor going for hours. We received lots of feedback from guests that they wanted to take a break but it was 'banger after banger' on the dance floor. Thank you for making our wedding so memorable!

Toast & Jam Djs... the GOAT of wedding DJs, hands down. We had DJ Damani & let us tell you... he was unbelievable. From the start - you could just tell he had everything under control. He asked the right questions to get us thinking, he listened to all of our crazy ideas/suggestions & then he absolutely CRUSHED it on the dance floor. We literally had the dance floor bumping all night long that the venue had to kick us out!! Everyone at the Wedding was talking about how they have never seen the dance floor that bumping at any event. Another call out to show you how Damani goes above & beyond - I requested that he create a mash up for the Mother + Son dance so that we could do a fun dance with it. He delivered that in literally 2 days... I mean, that's incredible! And the dance burned the house down. All-in-All.. Toast & Jam was incredible and DJ Damani will go down in the books in our mind. Best choice ever.

Our Toast & Jam DJ, Jenna, helped make our wedding a night we will remember for the rest of our lives! Jenna took the time to understand our musical tastes, listened to and addressed our worries about the audio for the entire evening, and made us feel comfortable and confident in our choice throughout the entire process. On wedding day, everything went smoothly from the ceremony audio, to cocktail hour, dinner, and the dance floor. We had ~70 people and the dance floor was full of energy the entire evening!

T&J is a great choice for any celebration! Jenna was awesome from the start, super thorough and asked all the right questions. The only feedback we have is from the guests' perspective: the majority of song requests weren't played nor was our pre-set song list honored. Had guests not approached us about this on the dancefloor, and after our wedding day, we would not have bothered. In reflecting, there was a solid 30 minutes where I questioned the music being played, and hearing from guests personally confirms our stance. We feel that sticking to a wedding couples song list is in the DJs best interest - it is not a nightclub where the DJ needs to read the floor, it is the biggest day of a two peoples' lives and considering the cost + paying overtime, pre-selected song list should be honored. Other than that, great experience!

Highly recommend booking T&J for your wedding! They are well known in Chicago and bring the energy. Jenna was very cool to work with and asked good questions during meetings. Thanks Jenna and T&J!

DJ Rachel was perfect. We told her that our only request was that "we want people dancing and say 'after this song I'm going to get another drink' but then the next song comes on and you just can't leave because it's another banger." Rachel met and exceeded that expectation. All of our guests also mentioned how incredible the music selection was. Next time we need a DJ, we'll be reaching out to Toast and Jam again!

Toast & Jam as a company was SO helpful and responsive to us! Our individual DJ, Chris, absolutely KILLED it on our wedding night!! He interviewed us to figure out our style and then perfectly used that while also reading the room at our reception!! He was able to go with the flow and played songs that got the dance floor rocking!! Can't recommend enough! We also loved their Photo Booth option- the attendant was so sweet with all of our hyper guests and it was such a fun addition!

We had the best experience working with Toast and Jam for our wedding this month! We worked with DJ Norah and she was wonderful. She was extremely professional and responsive with communication leading up to our day which led her to be able to expertly execute the "vibe" we wanted for our dance floor All our ceremony songs were timed perfectly, the cocktail hour and dinner/reception songs were great and so many family and friends said they had never danced that much at a wedding before! Norah also incorporated all our must-plays while only taking request that fit with our "music vision". Would highly recommend T&J (and DJ Norah) to anyone looking!

We had a wonderful experience working with Toast & Jam. They have a very organized process to make it super easy on couples planning. We worked with DJ Mary and she absolutely killed it. She worked hard to make the balance between oldies and new hits work, and it paid off. Our dance floor was packed all night. She also was super flexible when we asked her to do the Anniversary dance, call tables for photos, and make announcements throughout the night. Would absolutely recommend working with Toast & Jam DJs and DJ Mary, is possible.

Toast and Jam… y’all left no crumbs! We had Emily Easton as our DJ and apart from being the coolest person ever- she made our Dancing Queen dreams come true. Emily was so attentive to detail and so professional, it was a no-stress wedding (imagine that- it’s true!). Emily got to know my Wife and I so well that by the time we were ready to boogie, she knew what we wanted to hear better than we did! Emily kept us on track and prepared for what truly was the best day of our lives. We are so thankful to Toast and Jam and to Emily… rock on!

Toast & Jam was wonderful to work with for our wedding day! Norah and the entire crew was so responsive and happy to help answer any questions we had about our music, lighting and DJ Booth. We knew right away that Toast & Jam would be a great vendor to partner up with for our big day. We were candidly on the fence about lighting and a Photo Booth, and we’re so happy we got them because they added such a fun element to our night. Our PBJ (Photo Booth jockey) was wonderful and so helpful, and our DJ Mary McKane was a joy to work with. We knew she’d be in our corner every step of the way for our wedding ceremony and reception. We met with her a couple times in advance to go over our preferences, and she made sure on the day of our wedding that we were completely happy with our special songs and lineup! She confirmed with us how long we wanted songs to play, how to pronounce names for intros, and was incredibly professional, friendly and easy to work with. She played all our favorite jams and had everyone out on the dance floor all night, and knows exactly how to handle requests. Thank you, Mary!!

DJ Tabitha did a wonderful job at our wedding! She was relaxed and professional, but most importantly, kept the dance floor full by reading the room and adapting to what worked well with our guests. She also accommodated our slightly unconventional choice of Ethiopian jazz music for the wedding dinner, and smoothly helped us navigate a few unexpected hiccups (such as when our walk-on queues ran longer than expected). All in all, we are grateful that she took some of the stress out of our big day and helped us create a memorable experience.

Toast & Jam did an amazing job matching us with our DJ, Chris! He fully understood our quirky vibe and executed to perfection. We got so many compliments on the music! After mentioning we went to a very loud wedding where we couldn’t hear anything, he made sure to check in and make sure we were satisfied with how things were going. My wife and I celebrated our wedding in November and we were beyond thrilled with the job DJ Chris G did with keeping everyone energized and on the dance floor all night long! Last year when my now husband & I started planning our wedding in Chicago, I was researching vendors and came across Toast & Jam's website. We had an intro call with my our DJ, Alli, to learn a bit more about T&J and their process. As we were planning a wedding in Chicago while living in California, it was important to us that our DJ be responsive, organized, and collaborative throughout the process. Alli was so friendly, helpful, & organized in our intro call that I knew we had come to the right place. Leading up to the wedding Alli was super helpful in our prep meetings from helping us align on music choices to going over every ceremony detail, from ceremony order / music / timing to name pronunciations for our wedding party. She even helped us fold in some last minute song additions we sent the day before the wedding! Day of the wedding went amazingly well - Alli was the perfect master of ceremonies, and our dance floor was sweaty and packed for 3 straight hours. Alli's selection of music and mixing could not have been better and we received multiple comments from our guests that this was the best wedding DJ they had ever heard. Words will never do justice to how much I'd recommend Toast & Jam (and Alli) for a wedding - thank you for helping make our wedding day so special and memorable!

DJ Rachel was an important reason our special day was extra special When picking out DJ our venue recommended Toast and Jam and they were within our price range. They paired us with Rachel who was excellent through the entire process. We had an introductory meeting where she definitely matched the vibe we were going for with crowd pleasers for millennials: some oldie's early for the older relatives and progressively get to the 2000's and 2010's main jams. We met again a couple of months before the wedding so she could iron out the song list for the ceremony/reception for what we needed for things like walking down the aisle, cut cutting, first dance, etc. She loved or at least did good job pretending to love suggestions for the songs we choose and gave some friendly recommendations based on her experience at weddings. Another wrench she had to deal with was we hired a cellist for the ceremony and the cocktail hour. The problem was he was not the best at responding so she made a backup playlist in case he didn't come. Luckily he did come and Rachel worked with him perfectly for the ceremony to play a little music under his cello. Now during the reception she got the party started and it didn't stop until the venue kicked us out. There were always people on the dance floor the entire time. And not just a few there would be a crowd throughout the entire night. Most weddings I've been to there is some songs people leave the dance floor and it's empty for a bit but not ours. Rachels' music selection was perfect to keep the party going. She even played songs we requested 2 days before the wedding that fit perfectly. I could recommend anyone more. Rachel was awesome!

DJ Norah Utley for the win! Toast & Jam DJs was recommended to us by my sister-in-law who used them for her wedding 8 years ago. When my fiancé and I got engaged we knew we needed Toast & Jam to DJ our wedding. We picked Norah and she was amazing. She was responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process and very easy to work with. From the ceremony music to cocktail hour/dinner and the reception, the music was perfect and totally fit the vibe of the entire day. Norah knew how to keep the dance floor packed and incorporate all our must-play song requests. We recommend her to all our soon-to-be-married friends and family!

Damani of T&J did a great job for our wedding, including the ceremony and reception. Our guests told us he was one of the best DJs they'd experienced, which was our #1 hope. We'd highly recommend his services in the future!

We had a WONDERFUL experience with Emily Easton at Toast and Jam! With a multilingual, multicultural, Ren Faire themed lesbian handfasting—she was able to keep the whole dance floor hopping while making sure that I heard all of my favorites. She was able to pivot last minutes to requests, kept our reception flow flawless, and never made us feel anything less than awesome, special, and seen. 10/10.

Everyone recommended we use Toast and Jam for our wedding and wow they did not disappoint. DJ Emily absolutely killed it from ceremony music to late night bangers. She knew how to keep the dance floor packed and fit in all our random must plays for the families. We knew we were in good hands from our first consultation with DJ Emily and we knew we wouldn't need to stress about music at all on our special day because it was in the best hands. Communication and clarity are key with wedding vendors and Toast & Jam along with Emily excelled in this area. Cannot recommend enough!!!

We talked to 2-3 DJ companies before booking with Toast and Jam. Their tagline about not being a typical DJ with stereotypical wedding music appealed to us. We were impressed by the 5-star reviews touching upon their constant communication, dependability, and guidance. It was important to hire a reliable vendor since our wedding was being planned from out of town. Initially, we enjoyed chatting with our DJ Tabitha about the music we envisioned and specific requests. Even the main office’s responsiveness regarding payment was respectable. Unfortunately, things took a turn shortly after the final payment was processed. We had not heard from Tabitha as promised. Our wedding coordinator and I followed up with her and the head office to see what the next steps were but we did not receive a response. At this point, we were concerned that she would not show. It was not until 3 days prior to our wedding that we finally heard from her, and she asked if we had prepared the sample song list. Unbeknownst to us that this we needed, we scrambled to complete the sample song list, adding unnecessary stress to our experience. Unfortunately, even though it was verbally discussed and written in the completed song list, we had to remind her to play Mob Hits and Frank Sinatra during dinner. Luckily, she was able to adjust her playlist. Our guests enjoyed the dance music and are glad they had a good time. Overall, the experience provided by Toast and Jam was mediocre. The process, quality, and services weren’t equitable to the substantial cost of $2,645. The Toast and Jam team could aim for a higher standard of delivery to match their pricing, especially for such a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ than Kate Porter for our wedding. I'm incredibly particular about my music, so when we were looking for DJs, I was very concerned that whoever we found wouldn't respect nor appreciate my recommendations or requests. Kate fully heard me out on my requests and concerns and curated the perfect music all night long. Song after song was great, and she read the room perfectly. Most importantly, though, the night felt like us because of her DJing. If you're searching for a DJ who not only plays music, but crafts an immersive experience, Kate is the one. Thank you for making our day magical! ABSOLUTELY recommend!

We were absolutely thrilled with the work DJ Paul did for our wedding. We wanted to avoid the cookie cutter song lists you hear at most other weddings (Sweet Caroline, Don't Stop Believing, etc.) and Paul totally got us and the vibe we were looking for. We actually enjoyed our zooms talking music and bouncing ideas off each other. He was cool, calm, and very flexible with last minute schedule changes. We cannot recommend him or Toast & Jam enough!

We had such an amazing experience with DJ Tabitha and business manager Norah at Toast & Jam! I would highly recommend t&j for your DJ needs. Tabitha was absolutely fantastic from the start - she reminded us that she was in our corner as our DJ and would do whatever she could to make our day spectacular (music wise!). She did just that. She created an edit, as requested by me, of an acoustic Taylor Swift song for me to walk down the aisle to; was very comprehensive in going over timeline with us, was on time, professional, and just a delight to work with. She was fantastic at reading the crowd and I am thankful that we chose them as our DJ! If you're looking for a company that is consistent, kind, and creative, go with Toast & Jam! DJ Emily Easton was a dream to work with! First off, she has the best taste in music but deferred to us for all musical choices (even our more out there preferences). She had great suggestions and even introduced us to our new favorite band, Ginger Root!. We looked forward to our planning meetings where she asked us insightful questions which got us thinking about parts of the wedding we hadn't even considered. During the wedding Emily was professional, humorous, and great at directing the crowd. She navigated between two rooms (the main dining room and the dance floor) easily and it was clear she had done this before. Emily hit all the "must play" songs we requested while reading the room beautifully. At some point she noticed a younger crowd on the dance floor and switched to early 2000s pop punk which kept the energy going and brought more people to the floor. Us newlyweds spent basically half the wedding on the dance floor because it was so much fun. Choose Emily for your DJ and you won't be disappointed!

We worked specifically with Emily E, who was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. She was incredibly knowledgeable and we had a lot of fun discussing music and artists on our calls, which was definitely a bright spot in the wedding planning process.
