Melissa and her team are amazing. She is incredibly kind and flexible. She welcomed us to her studio and helped make our vision real and provided great input and suggestions. She didn't have the vases I was looking for, but agreed to use ours. She was timely with emails and texts replies and easy to talk to. She made our tables look AMAZING. She was transparent about pricing and updates too and complimentary with various costs that really helped us out. She did not forget anything on the day of. She was very trustworthy and would gladly recommend her again! My wedding planner approved too!

Trablume did a beautiful job with the florals for my wedding day! Melissa was so easy to work with and did the most wonderful job translating my vision for my wedding day florals into reality. For our table centerpieces, we wanted simple bud vases with vibrant pops of jewel-tone flowers, and Trablume delivered beyond what I could have imagined. Guests were raving about the beautiful florals and we were so in love with them as well. I was in love with my bouquet and loved how Melissa was able to incorporate some of my favorite florals and colors, like lavender and red roses. Even the gift and card table was so beautiful and intentional with the flowers and their placement. Trablume incorporated delicate sunflowers (my mom's favorite flower) which was so meaningful to me and really brought me joy when I saw them on my wedding day.

We had a venue with unusual colors , which presented a challenge to the floral designer. Melissa more than delivered. She was able to meet our need to compliment the venue colors & the bridesmaid dresses and our desire to use native plants. And what she originally proposed was what was delivered. No last minute substitutions.! She is a true artist

It was 1000x better than I could have even imagined. So many of my guests gave compliments about the flowers, and the centerpieces and stairway installations she did brought the whole venue to life. Melissa was amazing to work with for my wedding. I love flowers but I am no flower expert and so Melissa suggested a Pinterest board with florals I like to help create exactly what I wanted. Any time I had a new idea on a color pop, Melissa responded quickly. All of the florals were absolutely beautiful for the wedding party, tables and additional details that Johanna put her touch on at the venue on the day of. Trablume crushed it! Our bouquets were wonderful and the wedding arch looked stunning. They really brought a lot of life to our wedding photos. They are on the pricey side, but the quality of the flowers and arrangements, including for our head table and dinner tables, were all top notch. The boutonnières for the groomsmen and corsages were delicate and beautiful. Very well done.

Trablume took care of our flowers for our wedding in July. They were a pleasure to work with and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous. Melissa was really responsive to our requests, she included a gorgeous blue-green thistle at my husband's request as thistle was part of his alma mater's crest.

Every little detail was perfect from the flowers to greenery ratio to the quality of the flowers to the arch display, table settings, and aisle decor. Melissa Owens is extremely accommodating and will do everything she can to make your wedding dream come to life. She even decorated our escort card shelving that was not in the contract. We had a room flip during the cocktail hour. She was able to recycle the aisle decor and use it as our table settings to help us cut costs. Trablume and Melissa Owens were a pleasure to work with and I will be recommending them to my friends and family.

Melissa is a truly talented florist and was amazing to work with from start to finish. She was communicative, went out of her way to work through our four COVID-induced date reschedules, and was flexible (+ patient) with last minute additions and changes to our florals. She transformed both our ceremony and reception spaces and made them feel magical - more so then I even dreamed of. Do yourself a favor and book Melissa now - and if she suggests a deconstructed floral arch for the ceremony, take her advice :)

Melissa was a dream to work with! My wife and I don't know much about flowers and admittedly it was the part of our wedding we needed the most guidance on. Melissa was a non-stop ideas factory. She started with some very basic questions like our favorite colors and spun them into gold. Once we started getting more into the process with Melissa, we never heard the word "no". Anything we suggested was possible. We had a COVID wedding in early May 2021, so we could only have 50 people in the room (down from over 250) and Melissa's flowers and accoutrement filled the space beautifully. We knew we wanted an arch at the altar with some flowers, and that became the perfect centerpiece for the ceremony. Like, tear-inducingly gorgeous. We spent nearly 30 minutes taking pictures in front of it after the ceremony. We cannot recommend Melissa and Trablume enough! Such a joy from beginning to end!

Melissa was absolutely the best to work with. I wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, and she walked me thru each detail and made it easy and fun! I got married in July 2021 and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about working with Melissa! I wasn't really sure how to describe exactly what I wanted, but with all my comments/feedback she was able to capture my vision completely. Aside from the gorgeous flowers, of course, she did an exceptional job on the tablescapes for our reception. I didn't expect my florist to do that, and not only did she do it but she knocked it out of the park! The candles, the vases, the flowers...they all came together beautifully. I would definitely utilize Trablume again!

The flowers are everything that I envisioned. They are so beautiful! We hired Trablume to make my floral vision come true and they exceeded my expectations. My bouquet had such beautiful flowers on It- anemones, eskimo roses, eucalyptus, veronica, and succulents. I had an arch made for the ceremony and sweetheart table that was breathtaking. In addition, they added an arrangement to the seating chart wall that essentially left me breathless as well. The entryway and the staircase was beautifully designed and I just cannot rave enough about Trablume.

Melissa did a great job making recommendations for every detail of our flowers based on her experience and our vision for the wedding. The colors and style I requested were perfectly displayed. After postponing our wedding a full year, we had various stylistic changes that were easily accommodated. She turned a somewhat sterile ballroom into a romantic ceremony & reception with fresh eucalyptus draping from chandeliers and totally tasteful centerpieces, aisle decor, and large displays/vases. Bridal and bridesmaid bouquets were the exact sizes I requested (I really didn’t want a huge bouquet). Melissa and her team arrived early to deliver bouquets to bridesmaids, and helped all of the groomsmen pin their boutonnières. Guests complimented the flowers and there were zero hiccups in the entire process! Thank you Melissa!! 😊

Melissa and her team were the best. I'm not the best with flowers but somehow she nailed everything I had floating around in my head. Her florals really made our whole venue shine. When I initially reached out, she took the time to listen to my must haves ( I wanted very specific flowers in my bouquet to honor my grandmothers and my mother). Additionally, we booked in summer 2020 for a 2021 wedding and Melissa could not have been more flexible and accommodating of our ever changing wedding plans. She worked with my mom to navigate our ever changing guest list for table settings and was always so gracious. I would work with her again in a heartbeat.

Trablume was one of the best vendors we hired for our wedding! While I know little about flowers, I knew what I liked. I had a vision in my head that I couldn’t quite articulate, but Melissa brought that vision to life! She is truly incredible! Melissa is organized, kind, on top of communication, and patient. The invoice she provided had inspiration pictures from my Pinterest board and photos of specific flowers that were included in each arrangement. Additionally, she did floral trial with us prior to the wedding. She was so patient with critique and flexible with additions/substitutions. She made changes to greenery and flowers, added on additional boutonnieres for my ushers, and a necklace for our dog. Our floral arrangements were stunning and we got so many compliments. Loved! Loved! LOVEDDD!!! All of my floral decorations. Melissa was great to work with. I had ideas about what I wanted but I wasn't sure how to articulate them because I don't know much about flowers. But it was like she could see the images in my mind and showed me pictures and explained how everything would go together. Again, absolutely great to work with. She's quick to respond to emails and made adjustments to the contract if needed. We needed to because of the COVID gathering restrictions changing. She's nice and gives off a positive vibe. And my cake decorations!!! I made a hoop cake stand for my wedding cake and I forgot to let Melissa know what about the whole hoop cake stand and the fake flowers on it. But that was not an issue, When she decorated our cake, it matched the hoop stand perfectly. Looked amazing. Thank you so much Trablume for making my ceremony and reception look so gorgeous.

Our flowers were beautiful. Working with Melissa was easy. I really had no idea what I wanted my flowers to look like. After our initial phone call where I provided super vague and meandering thoughts on my vision, Melissa pulled together a proposal that took my breath away! She has a great eye and creates beautiful work. She was also extraordinarily helpful when we changed our venue to a place 20 miles away, slashed our guest list, shifted from indoors to outdoors and asked her adjust some of her plans. She handled it all with professionalism and most of all empathy and kindness. Her florals speak for themselves, so many of our guests (and Zoom guests) remarked how stunning they were.

2021 Update: I booked Melissa again for my vow renewal, and again, I can't say enough about her work, her vision, her execution, and her team. If you're looking to book an all-star team of wedding vendors, book Melissa as your florist! Not only is her work beyond compare, Melissa is the kind of vendor that goes above and beyond to make your day happen. No questions asked, no recognition needed, she just DOES. WORK. Case in point: I booked another vendor for a few photo op pieces (furniture, décor, etc.). On the day of my event, that vendor dropped off my order to the wrong address (!!!). Without hesitation, Melissa and her team hopped into their box truck rental, drove to the other site, picked up my order, brought it back to our location, and set everything up! According to my wedding planner, Melissa didn't even miss a beat. When she saw that something needed to be done, she jumped right into action. I can't thank Melissa and her team enough for saving the day! I am forever grateful to them <3 If you're reading this and looking for a florist, do yourself a favor and book Melissa immediately. You won't regret it! A+++ 2020 Review: I can't say enough amazing things about Melissa's work. Planning a wedding in 2020 has been such a challenge, but Melissa's level of communication, flexibility, and understanding was incredible. She never batted an eye when I had to postpone my wedding back in the spring, down-size later in the summer, and ultimately move half of her services out to a vow renewal next year. There was nothing simple about all of the moving pieces, but I could not be happier with the quality of work from Melissa. And omg I still can't get over how beautiful the flowers were! The sight of my bouquet when she first delivered it was enough to take my breath away. She nailed EVERYTHING in my vision, and it really makes a difference when your vendors hear what you're saying and can translate it into a absolute work of art. Melissa has been such an incredible florist to work with during the craziness that is 2020 wedding life. She’s been so flexible as we’ve had to move our date several times, and still made a gorgeous bouquet for our mini ceremony this year. Working with her has been so collaborative — she put together a fantastic proposal after our first phone call, and she picked up on my style right away and incorporated feedback super quickly and accurately. We went through all the flower photos and decor options at her studio to make final plans, and she’s been such a great creative partner since I’m tying in my collection of vintage glassware as centerpieces. She has the most beautiful collection of centerpieces and decor! We’re still saving all of that for next year (hopefully), but the fact that Melissa was able to accommodate a seriously stunning bouquet for the small gathering we could have this year was wonderful, and it was THE thing that made me feel like a real bride. :) So excited to continue working together and can’t wait to see it all come to life when we can gather again!

After changing the venue three times and then ending up having it in my backyard due to COVID (#coronabride), Melissa made my wedding one of the happiest and most beautiful days of my life. I have been working with her about a year prior to the wedding date. I created a Pinterest board and shared with her my vision. She took my Pinterest board and developed a quote that captured everything I wanted. There was nothing that she said she couldn’t do in terms of what I was thinking. Then, when I ended up having it in my backyard instead— she completely transformed the front of my house, my backyard, and my garage and turned it into a place that didn’t even look like my house. It look like a fairytale and the front page of a home and garden magazine. Everybody commented on how beautiful it was. everybody was shocked; not expecting it to look THAT nice for a backyard wedding. She doesn’t just do flowers, she also does other designing such as lighting, candle boxes, backdrops, alters, etc. I had gotten a wedding planner midway through and she worked with her to leave everything together seamlessly. In terms of the flowers, it look like my flowers were plucked from the Amazon rain forest. The colors were so vivid, the flowers were so fresh. She even took what would’ve been a basic cake and transformed it with her flowers. In terms of payment, she was very flexible and let me make multiple payments on Venmo here and there are leading up to the wedding. I highly recommend her to anyone who is getting married.

Melissa did a wonderful job for our February wedding! I do not know a lot about flowers and she absolutely created the vision I had in my head even though I probably was not articulating it well. She also was very reasonably priced relative to a lot of the florists in the City of Chicago. I researched a lot and spoke to several and after I spoke to her and met with her in person, it was an easy choice to make and she 100% delivered!

Finding the right florist for your wedding takes quite a bit of research. I’m so so thankful we decided to go with Melissa and her team at Trablume. She was so responsive (especially compared to other vendors!) and helpful throughout the process - I had a lot of follow up questions! She was kind and patient with me, which made this so much less stressful. Our flowers were absolutely stunning the day of and we can’t thank her enough for helping make our vision come to life.

Melissa at Trablume is the kindest and most talented florist I have ever met. My search for a wedding florist started out rocky with over budget proposals or flakey florists. But when I found Melissa (through Instagram snooping my venue) she was warm and welcoming, but also professional—from our first phone call I knew that I could trust her with our wedding flower vision. Her detailed (included a picture of every flower/piece of greenery) and on budget proposal blew me away. She did wonders with my bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, plus the boutonnieres where the groom definitely stood out. She was flexible with minor additions closer to the wedding such as additional boutonnieres and corsages. Her team created a hanging greenery piece to serve as our alter/sweetheart table. Plus they decorated our tables with greenery and candles during the room flip to transform our loft venue into a magical dinner tablescape. Melissa and her team was punctual and truly delivered—I would recommend her to all my family/friends for future weddings/events!

Melissa is everything! We LOVED Trablume and couldn't think of a better florist to go with. My sister found Melissa about 3 years ago for her wedding and just fell in love with her style and couldn't think of a better florist to have at our wedding. Melissa is very detailed, responsive, extremely knowledgeable about floral and has such a pretty vision for all types of weddings/events. We went and did a floral trial with Melissa and I find myself to be a very indecisive person, especially for an event as such and Melissa guided us along the way, brought our vision to life and was so fun to work with. From our first phone-call, Melissa took intricate notes and details about our vision. She put together a proposal that encompassed everything that we had hoped for. Throughout the year of planning, there were multiple changes & Melissa kindly revised our proposal over and over until the very end. We wanted an enchanted forest theme, filling the ballroom with greenery and flowers, willow trees at the entrance, and creating different centerpieces for a more dimensional look. We wanted our wedding to feel soft romantic subtle yet statement worthy. Melissa executed everything PERFECTLY ! She has an incredible gift of putting florals together, creating eye-catching pieces of art. Along with their beauty, the flowers were extremely fresh and lasted the whole entire day. She mixed those florals with beautiful candles, lanterns and greenery. Her and her team designed massive willow tree arches at our entrance and decorated them with greenery and fairy lights. It felt like a fairytale once you walked into that ballroom. Melissa was punctual, professional and kind. Even when things got overwhelming, she went above and beyond to reassure us and comfort us. It was FLORAL love at first sight! Trablume was the first florist I reached out to when I was beginning my search for my wedding floral vendor. Initially, Melissa and I spoke over the phone for our first consultation. She was very professional and asked me questions about my floral vision that helped me hone in on what I truly wanted out of my wedding flowers. But what really made her stand out to me after consulting with a few other florists was how accommodating and flexible she was with her clients. Halfway through my search and having spoken with a few more florists, my design concept changed pretty drastically and I decided to reach back out to Trablume to see if she would be willing to meet in person for a second consultation. Melissa did not hesitate and our meeting at her floral studio really sealed the deal! We created the design for the ceremony and reception flowers, the bridal and wedding party bouquets and boutonnieres, and the most stunning ceremony arch all within that one meeting. To top of the perfect proposal was that she stayed within my budget and was much more affordable than the other florists I had been looking into! Throughout my entire wedding planning process, there were so many things that I felt uncertain about or changed my mind back and forth over, EXCEPT for the floral design Melissa created. Thanks to her, I never wavered on what we had come up with, and any questions I had for her were answered in record time. She even threw in cocktail table flowers and the petals around the arch at no extra charge. On my wedding day, she delivered my bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets in person to the location we were getting ready and thank goodness I was sitting down at the time! They absolutely blew me away. To see what we had talked about for so long so gorgeously executed stole my breath from me. She captured our vision so perfectly and put so much care and effort into every aspect of the ceremony and reception flowers. Melissa is amazing so professional and sweet. She totally understood what I wanted and it came out even more beautiful then I imagined. I would totally recommend her for your wedding. My wedding was 6/23/19 and everything looked incredible.

Melissa was an amazing vendor to work with. With all the vendors I chose, I really valued quick responses and attention to my concerns. Melissa did all of these things and more. She brought my vision to fruition and was very amenable to working with me in way to help cut costs. We had a South Asian wedding and Melissa was able to come up with florals to fit on our mandap that could then be re-used later on in our evening reception. I did have some last minute changes that she was able to accommodate in the final hours which was much appreciated. In addition, I had wanted ornate Indian style lanterns which turned out were not the size as expected. She was up front about this and Melissa was able to source another lantern which ended up being perfect. I am sure this caused extra cost to her but she did not in any way pass that along to me as far as I can tell. She was able to pare down my table settings and the overall cost for me, but that wasn't noticeable and everything looked amazing, and looked nothing short of high end. Overall, I really enjoyed working with Melissa. I love flowers, and so does she obviously but the whole process was fun and not stressful at all. I hope there is another occasion that I can use Melissa's services for again!
