Troy Marks and No Idea performed for our wedding reception, and they were perfect! Their energy was incredible, and we heard tons of complements from guests throughout the night. No Idea is incredibly talented and they rock! They have a huge selection of songs to choose from, and Troy is communicative and can really help shape the vibe of the night to fit your vision. The band has old rock, new pop, slow and fast songs to dance to, and everything in between, plus quite a few local New Orleans hits. They also do second line music to really give a perfect sendoff. For our first dance songs, Troy even took into account that we modified parts of the songs to match our choreography, and the band nailed it.
I could not more highly recommend Troy Marks and No Idea - they really are talented performers and bring the highest level of professionalism and fun to your wedding!

We could not have picked a better band for our wedding! Troy Marks and his team were absolutely incredible from start to finish. They kept the dance floor full all night long and made the entire evening so much fun for us and our guests.

Troy was very easy to work with and accommodating for choosing song requests for the first dances. They also took care of sound for the ceremony, which was seamless.

We were very happy with the band No Idea! They kept our wedding reception jamming on a Saturday afternoon! Troy was awesome to communicate with prior to the day of. The band played music that the crowd loved! The band got the bride and groom and members of the wedding party involved during songs. I would highly recommend Troy and No Idea for any wedding event!!! And, they sounded great!!!

We had a blast at our wedding with Troy Marks and his band. We did not want the night to end! Several people told us later that they were the best wedding band they had ever heard! We look forward to checking their calendar and going to listen to them play at public events. I 100% would recommend them over and over! They knew exactly what to play to keep people on the dance floor!

Troy Marks and No Idea were an absolute HIT at our wedding. We gave them a list of songs we preferred and they took It and RAN with It!!! Everyone in the crowd was on their feet dancing or jumping up and down, the dance floor was never not full. We had the absolute time of our lives and we can’t wait to go watch them at a performance again! Such a pleasure to work with and such a talented group!

We hade seen No Idea at several weddings and always had a great time. I went to school with the awesome guitarist Glenn Farley so I had that connection with them. At first we weren’t sure we wanted or could afford a band but after we contacted Troy and talked about what we wanted we were pumped to have them play at our daughter’s wedding. Everything went smoothly after signing the contract and they handled everything. I upgraded the venue to a stage to set them apart from the crowd (hope it wasn’t too tight!). Once the first wedding songs were done the party was on! I grabbed a plate of food but didn’t eat a bite (and I paid a lot for the food) as I was grabbed by family and friends to get in the dance floor. Once everyone had a few drinks and we were out there the party was ON!!! The range of songs and their performance was awesome. After the wedding I can’t tell you how many people told us how much they loved the wedding and how much No Idea kicked ass!!! As I told my daughter “it’s your wedding but it’s my party!!” If you’re thinking of a DJ or a band spend a little extra and hire No Idea!!!

THIS IS THE BAND YOU WANT. Troy and his team are so professional and easy to communicate with. They are completely self sufficient with setup and breakdown. Our wedding would not have been the same without them. Their discography is massive and can accommodate any vibe you want for the dance floor. They were the #1 raves about vendor on our big day. Don’t miss the opportunity to have them on your team!
Our family anthem is “Gimme Three Steps” and the band was able to play it and create the sweetest memories for our family. They were even willing to learn a new song if needed!

If we could give this band more than 5 stars, we definitely would! Troy and No Idea band were so accommodating when we told them the reception for our wedding would be on the City of New Orleans riverboat. They were even willing to learn an eight minute long song to play at the end of the night! We have had so many people coming to us after the wedding saying how good the band was and that the dance floor was always packed. We would highly recommend hiring No Idea for any event in the area!

Troy and the band were AMAZING! We gave them some songs we like but just wanted the party to continue and they came through! They learned our first song for us and did a great job with it! Troy was easy to work with before the event and I had no worries going into the reception. They included a few things during the reception that really made it special to us. We got so many compliments during and after our wedding about this band! Would hire again anytime

Troy and No Idea are awesome! We hired them for our wedding and couldn’t be more pleased. They kept the crowd going and played the entire time with a wide variety of music from Rock to Rap to today’s hits. We didn’t even have to tell them what songs to play, they were able to feel the crowd and everyone had a great time. We had many guests reach out afterwards and ask who they were because they were so impressed. They also have a Photo Booth package and the guy working the Photo Booth sings too! 10/10 recommend and you won’t be disappointed.

Brides, if you want an AMAZING wedding band, pick No Idea. They’re no fuss, and my guests and my husband and I were blown away with how good they are. They even played a song, that wasn’t on the song list, for my uncle who just beat 2 types of cancer. They perfect pick songs depending on your crown, and they’re also extremely friendly on top of all the talent! I highly recommend them!!

Amazing!! Troy and No Idea did our wedding on 6/4, and I have nothing but great things to say. EVERYONE was dancing. They had such great energy, and play a great mix of music. I never left the dance floor (willingly). I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a killer wedding reception.

We had such a great time at our wedding! It was so fun having Troy Marks and his band No Idea play live music and learn a special song for our first dance. My husband is Deaf and we had three voice interpreters at our wedding. Troy was able to bring enough equipment for our interpreters to be mic’d and they were so accommodating with some last minute things that took place during the wedding. It was definitely a learning curve for all of us since it was such a unique reception and they handled it all with grace and professionalism. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a band for their wedding or any event. Troy is easy to communicate with and very down to earth. He and his band mates are all so talented and will keep your guests on the dance floor and having fun all night.

My husband and I booked Troy Marks & No Idea for our wedding after listening to the band online and receiving a few recommendations from friends and family. We were unable to see them live before the wedding, because we booked when COVID-19 restrictions were tight. They played the piano during our ceremony and music for the reception. And, we are so happy we booked them! They have a male and female singer and can play a wide range of songs, but the kicker is their energy. For example, they interacted with the crowd, got everyone to the do soul train, had us get on stage to dance, and they also let our family do a performance. They knew what to play to get the party started, and they chose songs on and off our list to achieve this. During and after the wedding we received many compliments on how great they sounded and how fun they were. I even had a guest tell me that "This band is the best I've ever heard at a wedding!" I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a band in the Greater New Orleans Area.

Troy and his band are truly spectacular! We unfortunately had to postpone our wedding multiple times due to Covid and they were so accommodating each time. They are very talented and threw us an amazing party! Our dance floor was packed all night and everyone had a blast. If you're ready for a party, hire this band! This band was able not only to play specific MP3 files we specifically wanted for the ceremony and first dances, but they also killed it for the reception. As soon as the first dances were done, our reception dance floor was basically packed from beginning to end.... That's not even an exaggeration. Our wedding guest had so many compliments for the wedding itself, but they said the band really helped it become a celebration. I definitely recommend this group! They sound great and know how to draw in the crowd!

Troy Marks and No Idea absolutely rocked our wedding at the Royal Sonesta in May! They're extremely talented and play such a wide array of music. Absolutely blown away by these guys! Three Ponchatoula weddings down and a million to go. Troy and his band absolutely brought the house down at our June wedding. They were so easy to work with, so patient, and truly made our night magical. We are still getting compliments about them; they were just so FUN and full of energy. I even gave them a tentative schedule of exactly how I wanted the night to go, thinking that they would do their own thing, but nope— they went right along with my plans and made all of our wedding dreams come true! We had our daughter's destination wedding in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. and could not have had a better band for entertainment. The reception lasted 6 hours. Troy Marks and No Idea brought the fun to an excited crowd and kept the energy level high all night long! I couldn’t ask for a better band to play at our wedding. They always played what i asked for, sound was perfect, they always kept the crowd going and hyped them up. My dance floor was never empty. I can’t say enough about them. Not to mention how talented they are. Definitely recommend!

This was not a typical wedding! My husband and I were renewing our vows after 35 years. We wanted a band to do it all---play wedding music, play party music and get that crowd up and dancing all night long. Troy Marks and No Idea was simply the best choice anyone could make for a band. In fact, we were all dancing so much, we didn't even eat the dinner! Troy worked with us on our special song list and even learned a song or two for our special dances. I can't rave enough about Troy Marks and No Idea. They were absolutely the best band ever!

Needing the perfect band for any occasion! Well you can't go wrong with booking Troy Marks and the No Idea Band!!!! I recently booked them for my wedding and they were absolutely amazing! Being a New Orleans girl I wanted the perfect band for everyone to enjoy listening and dancing to... and that is just what I got! Troy is super easy to work with and while I booked the extended portion of the band (recommend if you are wanting those horns played =) ) we would have had just as much fun if we hadn't. You honestly can't go wrong with booking this band and did I mention not a bad price! Can't wait to check the band's schedule and see where they are playing! Thanks again to all in the band for an amazing night... It is one my new hubs and I will never forget!!

This group did an amazing job at our reception on 5/26 at the Ritz Carlton, and I couldn't be more pleased. The songs they played got people of all ages on the dance floor, and they were clearly a very talented group both vocally and musically. I would definitely have them again if I had to do it over again.

Troy Marks and No Idea Band played at our wedding two weeks ago and were absolutely amazing! More than half of our guests (including us) were on the dance floor the entire night. Troy also allowed my husband and his high school band to surprise me by getting up on stage and playing a song! It was hands down the best night of our lives and we couldn't be happier with Troy Marks and No Idea! We highly recommend them!!

I agress with the reviews that the band is great for a wedding. I called Troy Marks 90 days prior to my daughter's wedding to tell him that my husband was just diagnosed with cancer and the wedding will be in the middle of his radiation treatment. His tone went quite differenct from the time I booked him. He was very insensitive to the situation and said he would still like for me to pay him the entire balance even though he would not be performing. As it turned out he booked another gig for that date and when I contacted him to ask for the return of my $1000 deposit he refused even though he had a 90 day notice. There are a lot of bands in New Orleans that are just as good or better than No Idea. I would not recommend anyone hiring them for an event.

Troy and the band played our daughter's wedding last Saturday night at the Southern Hotel in Covington. They were incredible! The energy had the dance floor filled the entire night. Everyone from 4 year old twin boys to 80+ year old grandparents (and one Brother from St. Paul's) were on the floor having a ball. Highly recommend Troy Marks and No Idea for any of your band needs!
