had my wedding last week in Cancun at the Grand Palladium (highly recommend!), and ultimately it was a wonderful event that hit all the right marks and was just perfect for me and my husband. But this was all because of the work that my fabulous on-site resort wedding coordinator did- not Destify. Destify is garbage and I would strongly recommend anyone looking at them to look elsewhere. The first 4 months of my 8-month long journey to "I do" I only dealt with Desitify. Beyond the initial meeting with the sales agent (which was great of course as she is clearly a skilled sales agent), the communication was limited, broken, and there was never any anticipation for the next step. I would have to send follow up emails to get answers or find out what was was even happening after weeks of silence. Then there were suddenly half a dozen people included on the email chains, all of whom seemed to think my questions or issues were meant for someone else. Some of the employees literally never responded back. I was practically begging someone, anyone, to just talk to me- via phone or Zoom- because rounds and rounds of emails were infuriating. Some tried to help. There was one standout employee who constantly went out of his way to help me get the answers or assistance I needed- Calvin, you're the best of the entire company. I would have preferred having just ONE Destify point of contact that I could reach out to and work directly with throughout the whole process, because having this "team" of different departments was a bureaucratic nightmare. Beyond constant email and communication frustration was the website. I had to work with IT several times, even do a Zoom call to screenshare to try and fix the site- most of which was never resolved. The site duplicated text sections, fought with me on adding bridal party information (this took two weeks), and the RSVP link was generic- I couldnt designate whether a guest had a plus one or plus 20. Essentially anyone with the link could RSVP any number of people. Also many of the functions never worked for me. The RSVP platform caused far more confusion than anything and I resorted to my own spreadsheet and personal communication with my guests, ignoring that page entirely and eventually having to go back in and delete duplicative guests. Supposedly I was on "an older platform version" and for whatever reason they were unable to update it (despite my desperate willingness to re-create the whole page if it would just WORK). Honestly, Destify caused the highest amount of stress for me during my wedding planning process. Their lack of communication, professionalism, and treating me like I was just someone reaching out to customer support was demeaning. I know I would have have a much easier time if I had just gone directly through the resort and created my own wedding page on the Knot or similar. I saw reviews like mine when I was first starting this journey, and I brushed it off because of the overall rating score they have. But I really think this because some people may combine the whole wedding experience and attribute it all to Destify when truly: they took my money and didn't do shit afterwards. Stay Away. Finally, congratulations to you and best wishes on your bridal journey!
