June 2025 wedding at the Venue at Stockton Lake. While they both were wonderful events, I also want to comment on what you DON'T want to experience with a wedding planner. First, some comments on our experience with someone else, NOT White Veil: the other wedding planner had a lot of connections in the Kansas City area and was well-known and very expensive. But the moment the check cleared, her communication was horrible! Phone calls and emails went unanswered for weeks. We had more affordable ideas, and she steered us towards vendors we later found out gave her a commission. We also had to scramble to make last-minute choices due to poor communication, and that was costly. We and the vendors finally got the schedule 72 hours before the wedding (with another bride and groom's name all over it), and that was stressful for everyone. The wedding was great, but the stress leading up to it was not necessary. NOW, let's talk about White Veil Occasions: what a HUGE difference!!! Emma and Megan both have years of experience in the wedding industry. They coordinated my daughter’s wedding at The Venue at Stockton Lake in June of 2025. We purchased the full planning package, and we are glad we did. They met with us several times in the months leading up to the wedding to outline any “to do” items we didn’t want to forget, and these meetings were well-planned and were promptly followed up with an email within 24 hours of all that was discussed and easy reminders of what we needed to do to keep things rolling along smoothly. Whenever we had questions or concerns, they answered promptly. If we ran into challenges, they had solutions with several ideas to turn that challenge into another checked off item quickly. Vendors also received communication leading up to the wedding. For the groom’s dinner and the day of the wedding, their demeanor with vendors, family, and friends was wonderful. They put people at ease and gave easy and clear directions for all to follow the day of the ceremony. The day of the wedding, we were able to enjoy the day and be a part of it and not worry if things were being handled. I absolutely knew they were being handled well. I did not feel like that at all with the older daughter’s wedding a few years ago. They worked HARD the day of the wedding. They had pleasant smiles and stayed in the background, but they were hustling. I watched as they made sure guests were where they needed to be, they reminded guests to sign in and take pictures for the guest book, I saw them give the DJ a whisper to move along to the next item, they tactfully made the new father-in-law laugh and give them a pat on the back as they guided him outside with his fat cigar, they wrapped the flower girl’s finger with a band-aid they had on hand, checked on the bartender to see if she needed anything, and were staying on top of keeping the event clean and moving along the entire night. Oh: and one of the groomsmen (poor guy) dropped a table’s worth of plates the day before the wedding. The wedding planners had new ones brought to the venue the next day: done! The wedding was fun and relaxed. Running a wedding is a big job. I recommend a planner, and so thankful we hired White Veil Occasions!

The way they set it all up was beyond anything I could have imagined—their attention to detail and creativity made everything more beautiful than I ever expected! That morning, my glam was running super behind schedule, and I was on the verge of a panic attack when Megan showed up at the Airbnb with the most calming vibes. She held my hands, reassured me that everything was fine, and reminded me that nobody was waiting on me. Then, she even helped my bridesmaids pack up a few things we needed to bring to the venue. Throughout the day, they wrangled the bridal party and made sure everyone was exactly where they needed to be. After the ceremony, Megan and Emma brought me a Diet Pepsi and a plate of snacks from the charcuterie table—which, in that moment, was the most amazing snack I’ve ever had in my life. They are truly the sweetest people on the planet, and they made sure my day was perfect and stress-free! You will absolutely, 100000000% never regret working with White Veil Occasions!
