Let me just start by saying, if you are looking for an amazing wedding DJ, Matt is your guy! Matt was so professional, punctual, and was invested in planning our wedding and making it so special! He has a great vibe, sense of humor, and really was amazing! We had the best time at our wedding, thanks to Matt! He brought the fun out! He really got to know us and what we were going for (fun, loud, goofy, and personal) and he nailed it! Best DJ ever! Highly recommend!

We can't say enough about Ryan! Not only did he keep the dance floor bumping all night, he made sure our ceremony audio went off without a hitch and made our novice officiant feel very comfortable. He checked in with us several times throughout the evening to make sure we were happy, and did a great job with the announcements we needed him to make. Choosing Who's That DJ is one of the best decisions I made while planning my daughter's wedding. The wedding guests were all complimenting the DJ. Matt was, hands down, the best DJ I have ever seen at a wedding. Not only were all of the songs in line with the list we gave him, the flow and attention to detail was incredible. The sound system sounded clear and not overbearing like some DJs. Matt even did a live radio edit of a song we wanted since the artist never put out a radio friendly version. Do yourself a favor and book Matt right away! I cannot recommend him enough! He just did my wedding at a private home in Malibu which ended up being very large and a long day, but Matt came with all the right energy and performed at the highest level. We're Persian and wanted someone who could do about 20% Persian music, but the rest was a mix of Pop, Latin, Hip Hop, and House. We threw a long list of "must play" songs at him, but he magically got through them all and was able to mix things in perfectly. He was so easy to work with, helpful, and made it all seamless, beginning to end. We also used his services for a silent disco towards the end of the night, so if you're looking to add that on for your event, he can help with that as well. I can't wait to work with him again in the future!

Matt was the perfect DJ for our wedding night! When we first met with Matt to discuss our plan, he was so receptive to what we pictured our wedding environment to look like and it was like he instantly understood exactly what we wanted. My husband and I both have such a variety of music tastes and we wanted our wedding the reflect it all. Matt was able to make sure that the wedding felt like ours while still being able to read the dance floor and match the guest energy. He was a fantastic emcee who made sure everyone knew what was going on throughout the night when necessary but he also just let the party flow when that was the best thing to do. There was not one moment where we felt like the party slowed down and we are eternally grateful to Matt for that. A DJ can make or break your reception, and we are SO HAPPY we found Matt! We have been recommending Matt since the day after our wedding! We had searched through almost every single DJ option in the Greater Los Angeles area for three months and could not find someone that we felt we could connect with. Matt is one of the most professional DJs that I have worked with. Music was an important part of our wedding so we wanted to make sure we found a high caliber person. After extensive interviews with multiple DJs, Matt was the one that stood out to us. He is very professional yet personable. Matt Gudis of Who's That DJ was one of our best choices on our wedding team. He has years of professional experience and is one of the best MC and DJs in the area. We did a lot of research on DJs before landing on Matt and we know we made the right choice. Our research included listening to samples, and even visiting an open house by Vox. No one compared to the preparation and experience that Matt has. You'll notice he has the voice of Hollywood, which makes for a great MC! He has a form for announcements which he executed flawlessly on during our wedding. We had a few Spotify playlists to give him an idea of our style but ultimately told him we don't need him to stick to it because why else hire a top of the line DJ?? His transitions were slick. Our crowd went WILD. And we are from the Bay Area so when he played favorites from the Bay (not requested by us) the dance floor went insane (in a mind blowing good way!!!) he also respected our wishes--we didn't want organized dances like Macarena etc so when a pushy aunt wanted him to push a Congo line, he respected our wishes and didn't play it unless he got our cue. You want a DJ who can advise you in your blind spots (he's done more weddings than you ofc) and understand the vibe you're going for. You pay for the deep experience that he has--a wedding dj isn't just about great music which Matt can hands down mix, but it's about event management and understanding you and your guests! That's the kind of emotional intelligence and crowd reading you get from a TOP OF THE LINE DJ like Matt. He was worth the premium. He was the first vendor I looked for after booking my venue and I knew I wanted a DJ who could control the ceremony, cocktail and reception seamlessly and without awkward down time moments, and boy did Matt deliver. Just gonna start with this: MATT. IS. THE. BEST. Matt just got us. During our initial chat we bonded over our love of music. Matt isn’t just a DJ - he KNOWS music. He got to know us by asking about artists we loved, songs we hated, and our favorite concerts. For us, it was a done deal when Matt knew exactly who Kaytranada was. But Matt's true magic is that he understands the nuances of weddings, especially when it comes to music. It’s tricky! You have to please the older crowd, but at the same time make it an epic dance party for the rest of the guests. He curated sounds for our entire wedding day, from ceremony to our after party. Matt asked us for a list of “Must Play” songs, and if I’m honest, I have no idea how he pulled it off so seamlessly. On that playlist was Bee Gees, electronic music, early 2000s bangers, electro pop AND deep house. Every transition was *chef’s kiss* — If you’re trying to throw the most EPIC dance party, get Matt on your side.

We absolutely loved having Matt DJ our wedding! He was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, and came very prepared to our venue with a wide variety of equipment to be setup across multiple areas. Matt took the time to understand our vibe and provided an unforgettable experience on the dance floor for us and our guests to enjoy! MATT.IS.THE.BEST!!! My fiance and I interviewed multiple DJs for our wedding but when we met Matt I knew with 100% certainty that he was who we should hire. Matt knows his craft frontwards and backwards, but even more so than that, I felt like he understood the vibe we wanted to create at our wedding and worked with us to add all our unique touches. Matt was amazing! We were looking for a DJ for our wedding who would not be cheesy and would keep people on the dance floor all night. We got that and more! Prior to the wedding, Matt communicated with us via email and over Zoom to come up with our songs (processional, recessional, first dance, etc.) and to discuss the music we would like during the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. We gave him some of our favorites and he ran with them. The music was perfect at all points of our wedding. And once the dancing had started, Matt was clearly attuned to what songs were keeping people on the dance floor late into the night. Matt is INCREDIBLE! My husband and I wanted a full dance floor and for the fun to keep going all night. We requested all different types of music from new to old, some bay area, some Spanish songs, and Matt put them together seamlessly. All of our guests are still talking about how FUN the night was and that they have never danced that much at a wedding before! It was seriously the best night ever for not only us but our guests. Even when we had to postpone our 2020 wedding due to COVID, he made it a seamless process. We talked again just before our big day to finalize details and we just knew we were in good hands. He did such an amazing job MCing the whole day, and he really knows how to read a room on the dancefloor - he brought the party! I cannot say enough good things about Who's That DJ? - and neither can any of our guests. Matt helped us make the wedding feel especially ours (he had excellent guidance and really listened to what we like and helped us figure out 'our songs' for everything from first dance to cutting the cake. What was the best was he was always in tune to the energy of the party and kept us dancing to all the best songs all night long. I wouldn't use anyone but him for your wedding, party or any other event. Highly recommend if you want to have an amazing party that people will rave about and you'll love.

These guys know how to throw a party! While most of the elements of throwing a wedding can be stressful, working with Matt and Dominic was a breath of fresh air. Matt was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns and he and Dominic made everything easy. A couple weeks before the event, we got on the phone with Dominic, who DJ'd the event, and they had us send some songs and then curated a playlist that brought the house down. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in a wedding DJ.

Matt was an incredible DJ for our wedding. He was professional, very knowledgable about audio and video that would best suit our venue, and worked seamlessly with the wedding planner to ensure we had a flawless wedding. He was a great MC for us throughout the day, and most importantly, played all of the best music to make sure the party was right! Matt is amazing! My family and friends love to dance and I knew I needed excellent music at my wedding. Initially I wanted a band, but because of COVID , I thought it would be safer to hire a DJ. At first I was disappointed that I could not have a band, but Matt turned out to be better! We had an awesome phone call before the wedding. I was able to tell him all the music genres I loved and how I wanted everyone to be dancing throughout the night. Matt did a great job incorporating Motown for my older guests and throwing in some of my personal favorites like Dua Lipa. He had great energy the entire night and allowed us to dance all night long and have the best time. I cannot recommend Matt and Who’s That DJ enough! Anyone who is considering hiring Who’s That DJ for their wedding or event - do it immediately! I went into wedding planning with zero idea on who to hire for music so I blindly scrolled through the list on The Knot, and thankfully I clicked on Who’s That DJ. We reached out to get some information, got an immediate reply, and instantly connected with Matt. We had a long conversation about what we were/were not looking for, and Matt even met us at our wedding venue several weeks beforehand so he could scout the location. Everyone coming to our wedding was looking for a party and Matt did not disappoint; we danced the entire night away (Matt even stayed an extra 1-2 hours after being asked on the spot) and almost a year later people remind us how great our DJ was. Even our very picky 16-year old daughter said the next day “I want Matt for my next birthday party!”; if that isn’t a 5-star rating, I don’t know what is. Thank you SO much, Matt for making our wedding perfect!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Matt was. To say that the music is one of the most important aspects of your wedding isn't new to anyone, but not only was Matt exceptionally great the night of our wedding but there are so many nuances that you don't realize that go into his job that exponentially increase his value for us. First, there's having the technical knowledge about the size of the space you are in and what will fill it with great sound, he nailed it. Then there's the ceremony music and audio for our vows-two different set ups with very different specs, Matt nailed both again to perfection. We even had a string quartet for the cocktail hour that he wired for sound since we were outdoors and it was to perfection. Before any of the wedding functions he performed he also met us out at the site to answer any questions and put our minds at ease about that night as well as emailing us an easy to use music list maker and song selection list, amazing! Then of course there's the actual reception and Matt seamlessly became a master MC on the mic and was friendly face and inviting personality for friends to make requests. As you will see he has nothing but 5 stars and if anyone were to give him less I question that persons sanity, not MATT. Thanks again Matt for making our best night even better than we could have hoped for.

I am here to say that Matt and his tunes made our wedding. He was spectacular to work with not only day-of but leading up to the wedding as well. He is so professional, gives honest feedback and has a library of music that can help you decide what you're looking for. Matt was our DJ for our wedding this past summer. He was amazing! When my husband and i did our first meeting through zoom, we got such a great vibe from Matt. Matt is truly, the best ever! We knew we were in good hands having attended two weddings in the last year where he, and his associate Dominic, were the DJs but had no idea how instrumental Matt would be in planning and having a wedding during a global pandemic. He was patient, empathetic, flexible and supportive as we went back and forth with a possible postponement, holding two dates for us- and finally making it happen on our original date, making not only us, but our guests as well, feel safe- and throwing the best, much needed party of our lives! A review that is far overdue but extremely deserved -- Matt was outstanding as our DJ for our wedding!! Matt worked so well with us to accommodate our requests. My husband is Persian and we had each couple dance down the aisle to a different song - Matt was able to do this extremely well and it went seamlessly. At the reception, Matt adjusts incredibly well to the dance floor. He played a variety of music but followed our requests very well all while adding his own flare. He is able to adjust well to the mood on the dance floor and switch genres to keep the dance floor going all night. Everyone at our wedding was very complimentary of the music/ dancing. It was extremely convenient that we were able to secure lighting and sound systems with him as well. The planning part was fun as well - he knows weddings very well and has a huge database of songs to select from. Even for songs that he'd never played, he never batted an eye at finding them! Matt, we are so thankful to you for making our wedding day so incredible - I cannot recommend him enough!! We debated long and hard about getting live music vs a DJ, and I have never thought twice about choosing Matt. If you want a down-to-earth, easy to work with DJ who will take any stress out of the music part of the wedding - choose Matt!

The first thing our wedding planner asked us when we started the planning process was, "what parts of our wedding are the most important to us and what are the least? Particularly, if we wanted to stay within a particular budget, where would we be willing to compromise?" We both agreed that a great DJ was something that was very important to us--a DJ can make or break a party/wedding (and we’ve been to enough parties where the DJ completely ruined the mood of the party, with an empty dance floor to prove it). We found Matt through our planner and were already aware of his reputation since our planner had worked at a few of his weddings and could attest to his superior DJ/emcee skills and ability to read a crowd. From our first phone conversation, we could tell that he was someone who absolutely understood our vibe and what vision we had for our reception—it was almost like talking to a friend after not seeing each other for years. We reminisced about the good ol’ days when rap and hip hop was great and he already knew specifically the type of current and throwback music we’d like to hear throughout the night (even by song). The day of our wedding was just as we had imagined and followed what we had spoken about to a T. He seamlessly incorporated our custom first dance song, emceed professionally even with last minute changes, knew how to keep the night going according to schedule, when to slow it down for our older guests, and picked it up and kept the party going the rest of the night. He even let us know that a family member had requested a song later into the night but wasn’t sure if he should play it since it would slow down the mood significantly, and we agreed--nobody wants the dance floor to clear out when you are expecting the night to end with a bang. Matt was an amazing DJ and one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He really helped turn our wedding into an amazing, fun, beautiful celebration! Words cannot describe how amazing Matt was on our wedding day. From the beginning Matt was on board with every whim and request we threw at him (we threw him some interesting requests) I went into my wedding day confident and comfortable and it went on with out a hitch. Matt was able to mix together music live at several points in the night and the dance floor was never empty. My husband and I have some interesting tastes music and Matt ran with it and played each song at the appropriate moment of the night. He was happy to work with a friend of ours who played guitar during the ceremony and we had ZERO audio issues The entire day. Coming from the production side of the entertainment industry I can tell Matt really knows his stuff and only uses the best quality products to enhance audio. Going with Matt means your wedding or event will be talked about for years to come.

My husband and I can't rave enough about how great Matt was! We live in Australia so we were quite nervous about hiring a DJ because went solely off of reviews but thank god we did because it without a doubt paid off!
