Matt was the perfect DJ for our wedding! He was so knowledgable and friendly. The night ran as smooth as possible because of him and everything was truly magical! the music selection was perfect and everyone loved dancing!

Matt was one of the highlights of our whole planning process and truly elevated the experience of our special day. He was professional, kind, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Right from the beginning, it was clear that he has a true love for music and his family, which shines through with how he approaches his craft. We looked forward to each planning session and felt at ease knowing he would take our song suggestions and run with them to create the atmosphere we were looking for. He can really work across all genres with ease. We had him provide sound for the ceremony, he worked with the jazz band for cocktail hour, then took over fully for the reception and everything was seamless. His experience also came through as a big help in planning the timeline and suggestions for speech limits, first dance length, etc. Taking a step back, Matt was more in tune with how the wedding should flow than the wedding planners. Multiple people commented on how great the music was after the event. If we ever have another party in need of a DJ, there wouldn't be a second of hesitation to hire Matt again. We can't say enough about Ryan! Not only did he keep the dance floor bumping all night, he made sure our ceremony audio went off without a hitch and made our novice officiant feel very comfortable. Choosing Who's That DJ is one of the best decisions I made while planning my daughter's wedding. The wedding guests were all complimenting the DJ. Matt was, hands down, the best DJ I have ever seen at a wedding. Not only were all of the songs in line with the list we gave him, the flow and attention to detail was incredible. The sound system sounded clear and not overbearing like some DJs. Matt even did a live radio edit of a song we wanted since the artist never put out a radio friendly version. Do yourself a favor and book Matt right away! I cannot recommend him enough! He just did my wedding at a private home in Malibu which ended up being very large and a long day, but Matt came with all the right energy and performed at the highest level. We're Persian and wanted someone who could do about 20% Persian music, but the rest was a mix of Pop, Latin, Hip Hop, and House. We threw a long list of "must play" songs at him, but he magically got through them all and was able to mix things in perfectly. He was so easy to work with, helpful, and made it all seamless, beginning to end. We also used his services for a silent disco towards the end of the night, so if you're looking to add that on for your event, he can help with that as well. I can't wait to work with him again in the future!

Matt was the perfect DJ for our wedding night! When we first met with Matt to discuss our plan, he was so receptive to what we pictured our wedding environment to look like and it was like he instantly understood exactly what we wanted. Matt Gudis of Who's That DJ was one of our best choices on our wedding team. He has years of professional experience and is one of the best MC and DJs in the area. We did a lot of research on DJs before landing on Matt and we know we made the right choice. Our research included listening to samples, and even visiting an open house by Vox. No one compared to the preparation and experience that Matt has. You'll notice he has the voice of Hollywood, which makes for a great MC! He has a form for announcements which he executed flawlessly on during our wedding. We had a few Spotify playlists to give him an idea of our style but ultimately told him we don't need him to stick to it because why else hire a top of the line DJ?? His transitions were slick. Our crowd went WILD. And we are from the Bay Area so when he played favorites from the Bay (not requested by us) the dance floor went insane (in a mind blowing good way!!!) he also respected our wishes--we didn't want organized dances like Macarena etc so when a pushy aunt wanted him to push a Congo line, he respected our wishes and didn't play it unless he got our cue. You want a DJ who can advise you in your blind spots (he's done more weddings than you ofc) and understand the vibe you're going for. You pay for the deep experience that he has--a wedding dj isn't just about great music which Matt can hands down mix, but it's about event management and understanding you and your guests! Just gonna start with this: MATT. IS. THE. BEST. Matt just got us. During our initial chat we bonded over our love of music. Matt isn’t just a DJ - he KNOWS music. He got to know us by asking about artists we loved, songs we hated, and our favorite concerts. For us, it was a done deal when Matt knew exactly who Kaytranada was. But Matt's true magic is that he understands the nuances of weddings, especially when it comes to music. It’s tricky! You have to please the older crowd, but at the same time make it an epic dance party for the rest of the guests. He curated sounds for our entire wedding day, from ceremony to our after party. Matt asked us for a list of “Must Play” songs, and if I’m honest, I have no idea how he pulled it off so seamlessly. On that playlist was Bee Gees, electronic music, early 2000s bangers, electro pop AND deep house. Every transition was *chef’s kiss* — If you’re trying to throw the most EPIC dance party, get Matt on your side.

We absolutely loved having Matt DJ our wedding! He was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, and came very prepared to our venue with a wide variety of equipment to be setup across multiple areas. Matt took the time to understand our vibe and provided an unforgettable experience on the dance floor for us and our guests to enjoy! MATT.IS.THE.BEST!!! My fiance and I interviewed multiple DJs for our wedding but when we met Matt I knew with 100% certainty that he was who we should hire. Matt knows his craft frontwards and backwards, but even more so than that, I felt like he understood the vibe we wanted to create at our wedding and worked with us to add all our unique touches. For the months leading up to the wedding, Matt was always available to answer our questions and although I’m sure he had dozens and dozens of simultaneous clients, I always felt like a priority. On the big day, Matt executed all our plans with absolute perfection. From the incredible sound system during our ceremony, to our introductions, special dances, awesome hora (which was a huge highlight!), and all-night-long dance set, Matt hit it out of the park! He helped us in planning the music we would choose, provided material we could choose from, an easy way to organize, and explained to us how to craft music choices to align with the energy on the day and in the important moments we had, something we extremely appreciated because it helped set the tone and flow of our event. Matt was an amazing MC and built up energy for our wedding and made sure to provide info and cues to the guests to help the event milestones and timings. Matt also provided light design services to give our wedding venue a more cool and intimate factor, and we were very pleased with how everything turned out! He also had extensive experience with the venue and helped us to choose layout schemes like that of our photo booth and dessert table because keeping the guests near the heart of the wedding reception, the dance floor, was the best advice to keep the night fun and fresh. Matt seriously was the best DJ ever. We hired Matt for our wedding and couldn't have been happier. We gave him minimal direction and really just asked him not to play country and his music choices were phenomenal. A number of our guests (who ranged in age from 60s to 30s) even asked how we found Matt and commented on how great the music was the entire night from pre ceremony and through the reception. Really cannot recommend him enough. In addition to that Matt was great to work with. He was responsive to all emails and reached out to us as the wedding got closer to make sure he had a copy of the day of schedule, had all the names of the people giving a toast etc. He was extremely professional and while we really left it up to him (as he had so many great reviews) his music library is impressive! We couldn't have been happier with our DJ choice for our wedding! We worked with Matt initially and when we described the musical vibes we were going for (hip-hop, R&B, and Latin), he brought in Dom to be our DJ.
