mmediately impressed us with her responsiveness and her thoughtful introduction call. She took the time not only to get to know us, but to explain her work style and approach to the big day. She’s extremely professional and puts a lot of care and effort into her business. For brides debating on whether to do an engagement session with Summer — please, please take advantage of this opportunity. Even if you think you won’t use the photos for a save the date: 1) the instant you see the photos, you’ll change your mind and 2) it is an excellent opportunity to get to know Summer and get comfortable in front of the camera. As two people who hate being photographed, our engagement session was key to making our wedding day portraits feel effortless and natural. We also had a blast hanging out with Summer and showing her around our hometown! When it became clear COVID-19 was going to put a big wrinkle in our original October 2020 wedding plans, Summer was the first vendor to reach out. She was extremely accommodating, kept soft holds on dates for us while we worked with the venue to find a new 2021 date, and unlike most vendors, honored our original contract. I like to refer to Summer as part photographer, wedding planner, friend and therapist. During this time, she helped us navigate our emotions and make tactical decisions — talking us through all our options from a small elopement to extending our engagement another year. She really helped us get to the root of what was important for us (being able to celebrate with all of our family and friends) and guided us in the right direction. I highly doubt many brides can say their photographer played such a key role in their planning and decision-making process. On the big day, I can say I let out a big sigh of relief followed by a loud “YAY, YOU’RE HERE!!” exclamation when Summer walked into our bridal suite. I felt like I could simultaneously relax and celebrate knowing that Summer had everything under control and our day would be beautifully documented. We didn’t give Summer an easy task! We had a large bridal party, iffy-weather, groomsmen who didn’t know who to put on boutonnieres, and a poorly lit venue that required a security clearance. But Summer and her second-photographer, Sierra, handled everything with ease, humor, and grace. To say we are thrilled with how everything turned out would be an understatement. As a kid who would frequently and fondly thumb through their parent’s wedding album, I’m moved by all the future memories we’ll make with our children — reminiscing about our wedding day all thanks to Summer’s stunning work. This is a novel, but Summer deserves it. Hire her now!

On our wedding day, she directed everyone perfectly and was even able to wrangle some of our rowdy groomsmen! When we had some minor hiccups, she rolled with it. Her work is absolutely breathtaking. Our photos are stunning, classic, and timeless. I am completely obsessed with them. When I came across her instagram page I immediately knew I needed her, and called her to see if she was available for a potential time frame, even before I had a date booked! Summer was the best decision we made for our wedding and I would choose her over and over again if I could. THANK YOU for everything Summer. You are truly an artist!

utgoing, easy going, and talented. From our initial email, all the way until our sneak peeks were delivered, Summer was ON TOP OF IT. Our initial consult was great, Summer went over details, pricing, and how she works. She assured us that she was (for the lack of a better term) Our team captain. She made our engagement shoot a blast and helped my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera. Posing isn’t his strong suit but she made our pictures look relaxed and free flowing. Summer was a blessing on our big day. She kept us and our party on time but also kept it fun. Our most important memories have been captured with the most amazing vibe. Bright and airy and relaxed!! Our photos are AMAZING and I can’t wait for our full gallery!!

Walking through our contract and timeline with us and making sure all our questions and needs were addressed. I could call or text her at any point with a question and she was on it! A huge thing for me was getting a sneak peek and we had well over 30 photos within a couple of days! Amazing! With COVID throwing a wrench in our wedding plans, Summer contacted us constantly to see how we were feeling. When we decided to postpone, Summer was so easy to work with and put our minds at ease. I was very overwhelmed when planning our wedding, but I trusted Summer immediately and felt confident and reassured with each conversation during the planning process. She also helped the bridal party stick to our timeline, which ensured we were on time for each event of the day leading up to the ceremony. I appreciated that structure she provided during the first half of our wedding day, as all of us in the bridal party were distracted by our nerves and excitement! The photos came right on time following the event and they were flawless. We received a balance of staged and candid photos that beautifully reflected the flow of the day and the event. Summer’s photos have a light and bright quality to them that I admired as soon as I saw her portfolio and each time I look back on the photos from our wedding, I am struck by the almost angelic portrayal of our special day. My husband and I also purchased our wedding album (and a parent album!) from Summer and it was worth every penny. You will be glad you hired Summer and her crew! We highly recommend her.

The weather was spotty with rain and we were on the beach so we had to fit in our photos where we could. She made herself available and we went out to the beach three separate times for our photos. I keep joking now about how lucky I am that I entered because if I didn't, we likely wouldn't have had found Wicked Petunia because we are not local. Even before the engagement shoot, Summer was checking in with me via email periodically and I felt like I was always bothering her with questions but she always answered promptly and assured it was no bother. We were emailing so much back and forth even just about my outfit choice, I felt like I was talking to one of my girlfriends. This is one of the reasons we are so happy. At our engagement shoot, Summer made us feel so comfortable and it showed in our pictures. She always made sure the lighting was complimenting my fair skin( which I was super self conscious about, but she reassured me that it comes out beautiful in photos). She made us laugh and was so playful. She had such creative ideas that make our engagement pictures unique and our own ❤️ We just got back our album and I was literally speechless.
