This is was by far the best money I’ve spent on my wedding thus far. My Fiance and I had an absolute BLAST doing this workshop. It was so cool to be able to literally create our own wedding bands that we’ll wear for the rest of our lives. And they turned out so good you’d never believe we actually made them, start to finish. Stephanie was such a wonderful teacher and her passion for her craft shines through during the entire experience. I love that she only books one couple per day so you have plenty of time to work, enjoy, and savor the day. We drove up from Vancouver WA and spent the day, but could’ve easily stayed another few days since the town itself is super cute too. We also opted for a photographer Stephanie works with to capture the experience which was also such a lovely touch and totally worth it to remember the day!! Melissa was also just an absolute GEM to work with on the photos and she made the day even more fun. It was a once in a lifetime type of experience, a great way to explore a totally new thing together, and create a memory we’ll relive every single time we look our rings. Cannot recommend them more!!!

We had the absolute best time making our wedding bands with Stephanie today! I’ve been following her since she started her business in 2012 and always knew I wanted to come to her when I was getting married, and the workshop did not disappoint! Stephanie makes it so fun and takes you through the process one step at a time so it doesn’t get overwhelming and is easy to follow. She is so knowledgeable and explained all about the chemistry behind the metals and how it changes throughout each step of the process (getting softer or harder). We are so excited to not only have keepsake wedding rings that we got to make for each other, but also the memory of spending the day together to make them. As my fiancé (who was skeptical of doing this at first) said at the end of the workshop- “it’s SO much cooler to get to say we made each other’s rings than ‘oh we got them at Costco’”. Making our rings with Stephanie has been our favorite part of wedding planning! Upon entering the workshop, Stephanie made us feel immediately comfortable getting to know us as a couple and as individuals. Throughout the workshop she continued to ask questions, that allowed my fiancé and I to learn more about each other. She helped us to build confidence in ourselves to make each other’s rings. Stephanie also took pictures for us along the way, allowing us to cherish those memories even more. We had Stephanie finish our rings with a custom engraving on the outside, the work she did was incredible and even more beautiful than we could have ever expected.

My wife and I cherish the memories we made in Stephanie’s studio. She took the time to get to know us, accommodated our pup, and gave us the knowledge and confidence to forge each other’s rings. This was such a special experience I honestly feel bad for everyone who has a store bought wedding ring. There are few words to describe the joy of accomplishing a new skill with your partner and having a life long symbol of that love forged.

My wife and I recently visited With These Rings to make new wedding bands following our 10 year anniversary. Stephanie was such a skilled and relaxed teacher and helped me feel confident and calm throughout the process. I’m not usually a person who works with tools, and I’ve never made any kind of jewelry with the exception of beaded friendship bracelets as a kid, so I was somewhat nervous that I would actually be able to create a wedding ring. With Stephanie’s guidance we created perfect, beautiful, unique rings. I would absolutely recommend this experience to all my friends and family. It’s so special to create something together.

I’m writing this review 2 years after our session with Stephanie. It was such an amazing experience with my husband and I and it’s a day we’ll never forget! Stephanie helped us make our rings in the summer of 2021. I have a metal allergy, and she was so knowledgeable and helpful about the different alloys. We ended up with solid bands of 18k gold. I haven’t had a single reaction! Alex and I married in 2022, and our rings are still perfect. We love sharing the story of our we made each other’s rings and how it really was a perfect weekend in the chaos of wedding planning. Port Townsend is a such a cute town for a weekend getaway and we highly recommend With This Rings!!

Stephanie is an amazing host and teacher! She made the whole experience so much fun and such a unique moment for my husband and I. We did a saturday morning workshop with Stephanie - her pre-instructions were extremely thorough so we knew exactly when and where to show up. The whole making process was so fun and Stephanie is extremely knowledgeable and offers excellent advice so you make something you're proud to wear everyday for the rest of your life. We can't speak highly enough of the entire experience and will recommend to any one we meet who has a wedding coming up!

This workshop went above and beyond our expectations! Stephanie is SO awesome to work with. Not only was she super skilled in teaching us the necessary steps to make our rings (and just fun to talk to) but, she also really listened to our needs. Personally, I was hoping to create a ring that would look amazing next to another ring I always wear that's special to me. She really took the time to help me do just that. We came out of the workshop with much more than rings alone, it was truly a special experience. Also, thanks for all the tips on where to go grab a drink and food afterwards ;)

This was an amazing experience for my partner and I to participate in. Stephanie was a great teacher, and it was so much fun to create our wedding rings together. Even if you have no artistic ability, you can make a beautiful ring and share a romantic experience together.

If you're considering making your own wedding rings, do it! My husband and I were already married when we heard about WTR and were sad we never thought about doing something like this for one another. We ended up coming in on our 5th wedding anniversary and made rings for one another for our anniversary gift to each other. Stephanie was a dream to work with, so friendly. Such an amazing experience!

This was easily one of the best experiences we've had as a couple and as individuals. We weren't really sure what to expect going in, and the idea of crafting rings for each other that we would have to wear for the rest of our lives was a bit daunting. Minutes into working with Stephanie and all of those worries disappeared. She has a wonderful warm personality with excellent teaching skills, and she genuinely cares about her craft. Each step of the process was carefully explained, and it gave us a glimpse into all of the complexities involved in jewelry crafting. My ring looks perfect with my engagement ring, and we had my fiance's ring engraved based on a drawing of mountains and trees I created (which Stephanie made so easy to do after the workshop)! The workshop was one of the most amazing experiences of our wedding and all the preparation leading up to the wedding. Making our own rings was a very intimate experience: just a few hours of only the two of us expressing our love for each other through our rings. The resulting rings were not only beautiful and exactly what we wanted, but they will also remind us of that very special moment of calm and love we shared during one of the probably most hectic times in our lives. We also had a photographer capture some special moments of our ring-making session, which we can absolutely recommend.

Stephanie was incredible! This is something that was outside of my comfort zone and she made everything feel natural and simple. She was great teacher, and super wonderful to work with. My partner and I are thrilled to have made the memory, and even more thrilled to have the rings!

We've always known that we wanted to make our own wedding rings, so this is something that we prioritized as we've budgeted and planned our wedding. While we were mainly very excited, Stephanie made the process incredibly smooth - we trusted her completely to guide us along to create beautiful, customized pieces. We loved working with her! In particular: - Stephanie is very upfront and transparent about cost. She was also very communicative regarding what customizations were possible, as well as which of those customization decisions needed to be made upfront vs what we could decide during the workshop. My fiancé and I had gone to a local jeweler to see what we liked, and Stephanie helped us create ideal versions of each others' rings based on that (my fiancé asked for a "European comfort fit" and I wanted milgrain edges added to mine). - Stephanie empowered us to feel confident doing as much on our own as we felt comfortable with, but checked in regularly and was always there to step in and help. It was very difficult to mess up or do something wrong. - We loved being able to try on our rings during the session and make adjustments throughout. For instance, I was able to put on my wedding band on along with my engagement ring and see what it would feel like to have a tighter vs looser ring, as well as change my mind about the finish. - We were able to use Stephanie's bluetooth speaker to play music throughout the workshop, which helped create a fun environment for us. - Getting away to Port Townsend and making something tangible with our hands was a fantastic break amidst what has been a very stressful time. It was nice having something we were looking forward to doing for our wedding. - Stephanie is so friendly and easy to talk to, and had great recommendations for our stay in Port Townsend, from where to stay, to what to eat and do. On top of that, she uses her social platform to support local business and advocate for just causes, which was just icing on top of the cake for us! If you are considering doing this, I highly encourage you to check Stephanie out - we know that we will treasure this experience, and our rings, forever.

Even before we were engaged, I knew I wanted to work with Stephanie and make our own wedding rings. The experience was even more wonderful than I imagined and we are incredibly happy with how the rings turned out. Stephanie was great to work with and makes the whole ring-making process really approachable - she guides you every step of the way to make you feel comfortable. The stay at home order canceled our first workshop appointment, but she was very communicative and accommodating in getting us rescheduled. I have already and will continue to recommend her to pretty much everyone I know who is getting married or knows people who might be (or to just gush to relatives about how cool it is that we got to make our own rings!).

We both fell in love with the meaningfulness behind a handmade ring, and went searching for an opportunity to make rings ourselves. We found Stephanie's workshop through a google search, and we couldn't be happier. She is very easy to work with and communicative; she helped our vision turn into reality and answered our questions along the way. The workshop experience was amazing, it's clear that Stephanie is very knowledgeable and passionate about her art. And she really makes this experience accessible to any skill level. This experience was fun and intimate and we are beyond happy with the rings we made for each other! When we first contacted her, she was very prompt and answered all of our questions. When our workshop had to be postponed due to COVID, she kept us updated every step of the way until we were able to reschedule. During the workshop, Stephanie was also mindful of social distancing and even had face shields for the times she couldn’t. Stephanie was thorough in explaining the entire process and we never felt we like we didn’t know what we were doing. The process of making our rings from a strip of metal was unbelievable and we couldn’t be more happy. The fact that we made each other’s bands makes it that much more special to us.

Everybody should do this. The experience is so much more meaningful than buying a ring and Stephanie makes the process fun and easy. Highly recommended. Wouldn’t change a thing.

We are so incredibly happy with our rings we made one summer afternoon with Stephanie. The experience meant so much to us on so many levels that it's probably impossible to fully express our gratitude and satisfaction. We had both been so nervous about the workshop (we're each sort of crafty in our own ways, but had never done anything like this) because it was new and we felt the pressure of doing something we'd never done before - and knowing that we'd be wearing the result of for the rest of our lives! Stephanie was so great from the moment we contacted her to the moment we left studio. She assured us that most people felt the same way, and that she'd walk us through every single step. Within the first half hour our nerves had disappeared and we were fully engaged in the process! The rest of the day flew by, but by the end we had made our bands and were already talking about when we could come back to make some more rings! After Stephanie set the stone LeAnna had selected, our rings were shipped to us a month or so later and we were SO excited to have them both finished. We absolutely love them, both because of the way they turned out and because of the experience of making them together. It's also so fun to share the story of making them with anyone who asks. We can't say enough about how perfect this experience was and how incredibly thoughtful, patient, professional, and kind Stephanie was. Additionally, Stephanie was immensely helpful in helping LeAnna pick a unique stone from a reputable source - without Stephanie's invaluable knowledge LeAnna would have ended up with a soft stone that would not have lasted. Stephanie answered every question we had about stones and settings and we ended up with the perfect rings for us. We'll be back - gotta add some band for an anniversary or find some excuse to do this again!

Stephanie is a natural teacher, and she knows exactly how to guide you to make a professional quality ring with your own two hands. She never takes over the process, and provides the perfect amount of guidance at each step. We did the fabrication workshop, but there is also an option for a wax carving workshop, which allows you to make a mold for a curved ring (a perfect match for whatever engagement ring) or other organically shaped ring. Even when making classic style bands, there are so many options for subtly different finishes that you would never see in the store. We love having our unique yet still classic rings that will always remind us of the time we spent making them. Finally, if you are from out of town wondering whether you should travel to Port Townsend to work with Stephanie or try to find a more local workshop, definitely go to PT and With These Rings! After a lot of research online, we decided that Stephanie was the absolute best at this, and we had the added bonus of making this into a romantic vacation to charming Port Townsend and nearby Olympic National Park.

My husband and I went to Stephanie's studio just a couple of days before our elopement. We loved the process of making our own rings, she made it so much easier than I thought it was going to be! She also took tons of fantastic pictures with our phones of us working which was lovely since we wanted to capture the moment but were quite busy. Stephanie was also gracious enough to give us a lot of close travel recommendations for the days leading up to our wedding which we enjoyed. I wish I was getting married to my husband again so I could make another ring :-)

My husband and I really can't recommend these workshops enough! Stephanie was amazing to work with from the first email through when we left the workshop, and even afterwards! She provides tons of helpful info on her website, and also is willing to talk you through any questions you have at any point in the process. My husband was very nervous before we booked that he wouldn't be able to successfully make a ring, and Stephanie was very encouraging and reassuring. The workshop itself was awesome. Stephanie breaks down each step, and clearly demonstrates how to do it before handing it off to you. We did each step ourselves, and Stephanie helped when we asked. Beyond that, we honestly felt like we were hanging out with a friend all day with Stephanie - she asked questions about us, our wedding, our dog, and by halfway through the workshop we were sharing engagement photo blog post and tons of dog photos! Making our rings for each other was truly a special experience, and we are so glad we did it. They are so much more meaningful to us than purchasing rings. We included a bit about making our rings in our wedding ceremony, as well as mentioned it in the statement when we exchanged rings. Everyone at our wedding loved it, and were so interested in it afterward, and we got many comments and compliments during our reception!

I cannot say enough good things about Stephanie and about With These Rings. Two things immediately stood out to us about her: the quality of her work, and her forthrightness. Right on her website, she'll show you the process of ring-making, the prices of the different metals, and what to know about how certain metals like palladium sterling silver will wear over time. She was very prompt and responsive to all of our questions. That forthrightness continued right into the ring-making process itself. Stephanie is a great teacher: she's incredibly patient and kind, and makes good on her promise not to let you mess up, but that doesn't mean she'll take it over for you. She shows you the steps and will help you out if you have trouble, but you really are putting the work into the ring yourself, and more likely than not you'll have fun at the same time. Stephanie also explained the chemical processes behind each step, so it felt like taking the coolest science lab class ever. The time just flew by. We received the finished rings in the mail last week after having them engraved, and they're absolutely perfect. Even if you're on a budget, I can assure you that With These Rings is completely, utterly worth the experience of creating a beautiful and lasting symbol of your union, especially with such a kind and capable teacher. My husband and I made our wedding rings with Stephanie and we absolutely love them! Stephanie is a joy to work with, is supremely talented, and provides a truly personal, customer-oriented experience. My husband created his actual ring at the studio, while I carved mine out of wax (to cast the metal) to fit my engagement ring. My husband also had an engraving added, after the fact, before Stephanie sent our rings back to us. Stephanie's studio is located in Port Townsend, which is a super cute, Victorian town that is great for a romantic weekend getaway, just two hours from Seattle! We highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to have a truly unique, fun experience, to create a one of a kind item/heirloom.

Wow, this was absolutely one of the BEST experiences of my life. We worked with Stephanie back in March to create our wedding rings. We both went into the workshop with some trepidation that we would completely mess up the rings, but Stephanie put us at ease immediately. She broke the process down into manageable and understandable parts. Though I had no experience in ring making, with Stephanie's guidance it was easy to follow instructions and get a good result! Our rings turned out perfectly. My ring was engraved with the outline of an important mountain range to us - this process was really easy as well. Stephanie works with a engraver that works by hand and the end result was absolutely stunning. Once our rings were ready, Stephanie came into the city to personally hand them to us! It's those small, extremely thoughtful gestures that made working with Stephanie so great. We took a workshop to make our wedding rings, but it felt like we were spending the day with an old friend. I can't recommend Stephanie highly enough. We can't wait for another excuse to work with her!

We loved making our rings with Stephanie to make our wedding rings. It was so fun and making our rings felt so much more meaningful than buying them. We also tried to keep our wedding as eco-friendly as possible, and Stephanie only uses certified recycled metals. This was also a great value for such a wonderful experience. We paid as much to make our gold bands as we would have to buy them from an antique or vintage jewelry store, which is what we had originally planned on.

I just wanted a plain wedding band, but looking at them in the store, they didn’t mean anything to me. I’d heard of With These Rings, and knew immediately that was the way to go. We scheduled a consultation with Stephanie, to be sure of the type of ring I’d wanted, and picked out materials, shape, etc. We chose fabrication method, because it allowed us to work right with the metal, forming a perfect circle. Stephanie is very patient, and walked us through every step, and allowed us to do everything in the process.
