The set-list had a perfect mix of top 40, classics, and hip-hop. I will never forget the sight of my husband's grandmother dancing to Notorious B.I.G.! The energy of this band is amazing. They MCed the night perfectly so that everything ran smoothly and everyone was having fun. I can't say enough nice things about Young Love. If you're willing to splurge a little, do yourself a favor and hire them because they MADE this wedding. I want to throw an anniversary party just so that I can hire them again!!

The members of YLATT are ridiculously talented, and they played a hugely wide variety of music that appeals to all audiences. All of these reviews are accurate—people came up to us all night and long after the wedding to ask about the band. We’ve already recommended them for two weddings! We booked the restaurant based on the band's availability. and it turned out to be a fabulous decision. We traveled to Boston to check them out after visiting their website and finding out they were playing at the Burren in Somerville. We had a great time dancing and looked forward to the June wedding. YLATT helped make the evening wedding fun, fabulous and the music was spot on. Everyone asked where I found the band and everyone commented on the how much the band 'makes a wedding'. I couldn't agree more. In a small moment story our daughter and son in law bumped into Andy on their flight the following weekend for their honeymoon. The felt like they'd met an old friend. an engagement was around the corner, I started doing some covert research on bands online and poring through YLATT's YouTube account and song library. I was sold and as soon as I showed my husband, so was he. We reached out to the phenomenal Andy Wesby and booked them the second we had decided on a date. We went with a package for ceremony guitar, cocktail duo and 6-piece reception band. Through the entire planning process, Andy was incredibly responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions. On the actual wedding day, they went above and beyond any of our expectations. As we'd planned with Andy, YLATT had learned a new song for my father-daughter dance and would stick to a list of our favorite tunes for the reception. But the day before the wedding, we had a major wrench thrown in our plans. My brother and "Man of Honor," on active duty in the Air Force, would not be able to be present at our wedding after all. I refused to accept that he would not be part of our day, so set out with a plan to have his speech streamed to the reception via big-screen TV. Even at the last second (and with normal setup and sound check to contend with), the YLATT team made sure that we could hook up to their sound system so that my brother's voice could fill the tent and he could be part of our day after all. That would have been enough to make us worship them, but they went on to play hours of high-energy, phenomenal music that our friends and families danced to all night and are still raving about 5 months later. Young Love and the Thrills are not only a group of supremely talented musicians, they are genuinely great people with whom we were honored to share our wedding day. We cannot thank or recommend them enough.

Hero, the lead singer, is unbelievable! They all looked like they were having an absolute blast throughout the night. They have the ability to play a variety of styles of music, and they play every style incredibly well. From the Beatles to Pharrell to Sam Cook – they knocked it out of the park. They also did a really nice job of managing the sound level in our reception under a tent. It also cannot go without saying that Andy was an absolutely pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. I had complete confidence in him because of his attention to detail, responsiveness, and his desire to make sure that the band was doing everything they could to accommodate our preferences and make our day truly special. Andy even checked in the day before the wedding, just to let me know that he was available to answer any last-minute questions or concerns. I can’t recommend YLATT enough; again, they truly were the highlight of our wedding weekend! All our guests are still talking about them now, two months post-wedding. 5+ stars!!!

kept finding bands that were just so incredibly corny. Finally, we came across YLATT’s videos online. We were so impressed. Not only do they play a repertoire of fantastic and popular songs from all eras, but they put their own imprint on the song without straying too far from the original. Plus, they are all super-talented musicians. We loved them so much, we hired them based just on their videos (and some email conversations with band leader, Andy). Then, we finally got to see them live at one of their shows in Boston, and we were so excited, because they are so much better live! Their energy during performance cannot be captured on video. During the planning process, Andy was awesome. He answered all of our (many) emails really quickly. My husband and I actually both planned to sing surprise songs to each other at the reception, and he helped us to coordinate that. We had a guitar and bass duo play for our ceremony, which was lovely, and they did a fantastic job with the two songs we asked for. During our reception, the band played the songs for both our Father-Daughter and Mother-Son dances, and they learned the song “Closing Time” for us so we could have it for our last song of the night. Our guests--from age seven to seventy--loved the music, and our dance floor was packed the whole night. YLATT made our wedding a truly fantastic PARTY. So basically, if you want top-notch musicians playing great tunes and making your wedding more fun than you could ever imagine, hire YLATT. They will not disappoint!

They are not your typical wedding band. Our wedding felt like a private concert! They have a wide variety of songs/genres to choose from and they even personalized some music for us! of conversations with Andy we decided they would be the best choice and ended up booking them without hearing them play. We saw them play a couple months later at a bar, and we were thrilled because they absolutely crushed it. Dealing with Andy in the months leading up to the big day was extremely easy and stress free. He was on top of all of the details and got back to us quickly whenever we reached out. We added the horn section, which was somewhat late in the process, but Andy took care of it like it was no big deal. Sidenote: We HIGHLY recommend the horn section, well worth it! They learned our first dance song for us also. We were a little nervous at first because it was a country song, and there was not a lot of country on their song list. Needless to say, we loved the Young Love version better than the original. The emcee skills were on point; David did a great job. Much like you will read in the other reviews, the dance floor was packed all night. They played a great variety of songs (oldies to rap to new stuff) and they are super talented. There really was something for everyone. It really felt like they customized the set for us based on our discussions and taste. The reception went so well that we ended up extending because no one wanted the band to stop playing. People still talk about how great the band was at our wedding. It was certainly the topic of conversation for the rest of the weekend. Also, I think my dad is trying to join the band… We can’t thank Andy and the rest of the band enough for making our day so special. They are extremely talented and very professional. We already have some dates circled on the calendar for their public shows, because all of our friends want to go see them again! We cannot say enough great things about them. Waiting on our friends to get engaged so we can have the Young Love experience all over again!

etty cheesy. Not these guys - they can play EVERY genre of music and they can really please it well! They are truly unique. Our wedding was two weeks ago and we are still getting random texts from people saying how amazing the band was, asking their name, etc. Every single guest was dancing and that's no exaggeration. They have an amazing stage presence and knew how to read the crowd and keep the party going. At the end, all of guests started chanting "one more song! one more song!" as if we were at a legitimate concert - I have never seen that at a wedding before. Amazing! Aside from them being the ABSOLUTE BEST on the actual day of our wedding, they were so so wonderful to work with leading up to the big day. When choosing wedding vendors, it's SO important to pick ones who are reliable, helpful, true professionals and just down right nice people -- YLATT checked all of those boxes and more. They are seriously talented and NOT your typical cheesy wedding band, and could truly appeal to any crowd. It was so great working with Andy, who was incredibly accommodating and made the entire process so easy. If we could do our wedding all over again, Andy would be the first person we'd call. ongs that ran the gamut from Paul Simon to Biggy, had a brass section, and was fairly priced. We nailed it with YLATT. They’re just… cool. Perfectly suited to couples who aren’t crazy micro-managers and are able to place their trust in a band who really knows what they’re doing – i.e. veterans with the experience not to sweat the small stuff. Partying with them was like having seven extra wedding guests who happened to know how to bring down the house with “No Diggity.” This might seem like a cliché of wedding band reviews, but literally every single one of our 180 guests, from college friends to young cousins to my mom’s boss were sweating bullets on the dance floor from the time the band started up until the very last song, at which point the entire group started chanting for them not to stop. My only regret was that we couldn’t have bent the local rules to go even later into the night. Highly recommend.

They also were able to meet two unique requests, after our wedding ceremony, we had a New Orleans themed "Second Line" march from the wedding to the cocktail hour, they had horns and played "When the Saints Come Marching in". Separately at the end of the night, the band played the Star Spangled Banner, to which everyone song along. In the middle was an amazing performance and ability to work in the crowd. d and I and said how amazing our band was-and I totally agree. They are super personable, fun, talented, and responsive (brides we all know we want responsive vendors). Not to mention we got married in Maine and they did not even hesitate to travel 4 hours for us. One thing the guests continued to say was how every person in the band sang, not just one designated person-they are so versatile. We plan on visiting them at a venue soon in Boston just to see them again. You will NOT be disappointed!!

Dave the MC pumped up the crowd and the lead singer, Hero, and the rest of the band swept everyone off their feet with their musical talents and personalities. All our guests raved about how awesome the band was; to this day they say "I can't believe you got usher to play at your wedding..." Meet Dave, and hear him pick up the beat, and you'll know exactly what they're talking about. For any wedding, live entertainment is a must and YLATT is the band to hire for an incredibly fun night. YLATT brings so much energy & good vibes to the room. They played the right music at the right time and each song they played kept getting better. Now stop reading reviews and book them. edding, our photographer got visibly excited when we told her YLATT was our band, and our venue coordinator told us that the entire wait and kitchen staff (who had seen them play previous weddings) had been stoked all week to see the band again—so much so that one cook, who was on his day off, asked to be Skyped in when the band played his favorite songs! When you hear such high praise coming from seasoned wedding vendors, you know you’re in for something special. Young Love and the Thrills did not disappoint--and even managed to exceed our already incredibly high expectations. After the band’s wonderfully energetic MC declared the party started, the dance floor was packed through the very last song. Our guests are still telling us about how amazing the music was and how much fun they had that night. Andy was a real pleasure to work with and a consummate professional, working with us to make sure the music reflected our tastes and personalities and happily accommodating our requests. The band nailed each of our three song requests, and even surprised us by working our names into one of our favorite dance songs! Outstanding band, fantastic people. This band is stylish, sexy, cool, and more importantly they sound great. Andy was super easy to deal with and very accommodating. Their energy and enthusiasm was contagious. I would recommend that you use this band and this band only. We had our wedding on a Friday night just to have them and it was well worth it!

(in downtown Boston), we felt comfortable giving them leeway to “do their thing”. YLATT can pretty much play anything, and they do it well and with style. The leaned on the younger side of the bands we looked at and I think the youthful vigor helped keep the room dancing all night long. We also had Sean play guitar at our ceremony which was nice and Sean and Shon play at the cocktail hour. Really nice, perfect for the occasion. Would recommend it. The MC’ing also was well done (low key – not dominating like I’ve seen for some other bands).

single member of this band, they were all present and recognized that they played such an important part in making a great wedding for us. They did not disappoint in the least. In fact, I was worried that I had heard so many good things about this band leading up to our wedding that there would be no way they could meet our expectations. They not only met them, they exceeded them. Every single compliment we get about our wedding includes a compliment for YLATT. In a moment of complete honesty, I will say that leading up to our wedding date I was actually concerned that this band would end up calling and saying that they had become a touring band with some great act in the vein of Lake Street Dive. This band is that good and that is really the only thing I can say that gave me pause. They may become THAT good. So for that reason, book them now! There is no doubt that if we were not Washington DC natives, we would be trying to get to see them again and dance the night away at any of their gigs. They are the best and we could not be more appreciative for what they did to make our wedding great.

He was extremely attentive with email correspondence and made sure to accommodate any and all requests we had throughout the planning process (one being singing happy birthday to my 90 year old grandmother!). On a day to day basis, my husband and I enjoy a wide range of musical genres from all different decades. We wanted the music at our wedding to reflect this and YLATT more than delivered with classic jams by Johnny Cash to more recent hits by Rihanna. The evening began with a duo playing a great set of songs at our cocktail hour and then the real party began as YLATT started their dinner set with our all time favorite song by Talking Heads- "This Must be the Place". People immediately flocked to the dance floor and I can honestly say from that moment forward people did not stop dancing. YLATT kept the crowd going all night long and it was so much fun dancing the night away with all our guests. We even spotted an uncle attempting to do the worm! The day after our wedding we held a brunch for our guests and everyone could not stop talking about how much they enjoyed YLATT. YLATT is such a talented group of musicians who know how put on a great show. It will be one of the best investments you'll make on your wedding day. I wish I could rate them higher than 5 stars!

ct I had with the band's leader, Andy, I knew that I was dealing with serious professionals. Andy quickly responded to my inquiry and suggested that I attend a local show to check them out, which my then fiancée and I did (West End Johnnie's in Boston). I'm not exaggerating in saying that we were ready to sign whatever they wanted after hearing a single song. Their ability to play all of the classic wedding songs (e.g. Motown to Journey) combined with a wide range of contemporary hits you hear on the radio (e.g. MGMT to hip-hop), often seamlessly integrated through fun transitions, was immediately evident and their unique style makes for a sound that will appeal to any guest, young or old. Various members of the band approached us during a set break to ask if we wanted to hear anything in particular or otherwise just to get to know us, even after we had already agreed to sign them up. Good people who you want to hang with. With all that we had to worry about leading up to the wedding, the band was not even a remote concern. Andy promptly checked-in throughout the summer to make sure that we provided him with our dances and general likes/dislikes, and he did not miss a beat when we decided to start working with a day-of wedding coordinator approximately a month before the event. The band was flexible in working with our venue: we had a barn and a tent so we requested that they transition three times: from a stripped down set outside, to a similar set in the tent, to a full band performance in the barn to close the night. Andy was honest in explaining what would work and what wouldn't (both physically and financially) which I appreciated, but ultimately it felt like they were willing to bend over backwards to make anything we wanted work. Again, serious professionals. Without exaggerating, we have been told for the last few weeks that our wedding was one of the best our guests have ever attended, in no small part due to the band. Nearly every compliment I get about the wedding starts with "Where did you find that band?" and I know at least two guests who plan to contact Andy for their own forthcoming nuptials. Hopefully I get to attend to see the band, err, I mean to see my dear friends get married... Given how busy the evening was, and the fact that many parts of it felt like a blur, my wife and I have enjoyed walking through the setlist and remembering different pieces of the night that we had otherwise forgot; the music is definitely a glue that has helped to piece together the event, start to finish. Thank you to YLATT for a night we will never forget!

They did our ceremony, cocktail/dinner, and dance music - their selection was perfect and appropriate. They really turned it up for dancing and all of our guests packed the dancefloor after dinner - they turned it into a real party! They put a spin on their songs (mash ups, etc.) and make each one their own. I'm not someone who loves Rap music, but the groom insisted that they play a selection, and it was AWESOME! I'm so glad we let them do their thing. The band is so talented and moves between different instruments, lead vocals, back up vocals, etc. All of the band members were so involved with the crowd, and they just made the night so fun. It was truly one to remember! I wouldn't call YLATT a 'wedding band' - it was like attending a concert. I would honestly go see them at any venue. We had the best time - they were so entertaining and we loved dancing to their music. Not only is the band extremely talented, but they are also just awesome people. We even enjoyed hanging out with them after the wedding. They were truly a pleasure to work with from the beginning of the process to end. I wouldn't have changed a thing, and that's a really great feeling!

ic started playing! Andy, the band’s point of contact, was great to communicate with and very helpful with the planning process! He was also VERY accommodating, I had a few songs that I wanted them to play that where not on their song list and Andy was happy to fill these requests. In fact, he even offered to sing my father/daughter dance, “The Rainbow Connection”, in Kermit’s voice! I opted for his regular singing voice, but halfway through the song my dad shouted “Kermit!” and Andy finished the song with his spot on Kermit impression! That made our dance that much more special. The band knew how to get the party started and keep it going ALL night long. They played a great variety of music that had everyone on the dance floor, including our priest! They were so engaged with all of our guests, from jumping off stage to dance with us, to letting our cousin sit in as a guest drummer during Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing! Also, the band was totally cool with our best man hoping up on stage asking to play one more song, so they finished out with Biz Markie’s “Just a friend” with our best man on stage playing air guitar and singing along! Needless to say, Young love and the thrills were the reason why my husbands and I reception was so much fun! We are so happy that we chose this band for our wedding, and highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a wedding band you will not be disappointed!
