A Trendy Fall-Colored Wedding at The William Aiken House in Charleston, South Carolina

With a blend of Old World charm and modern sophistication, it’s no wonder Kathryn Stinson (29 and a medical resident physician in obstetrics and gynecology) and Matthew Patrick (32 and a medical fellow physician in orthopedic trauma surgery) chose the historical William Aiken House in Charleston, South Carolina, for their reception. (Pst! It was even in The Notebook!). “There was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to get married at the William Aiken House,” Kathryn says. “I have always adored the location and dreamed of getting married there.” Haley Kelly from A Charleston Bride worked with the couple to bring their vision to life with shades of navy, green and orange for an autumnal color palette that was trendy yet traditional. “I loved working with Haley Kelly of A Charleston Bride,” Kathryn says. “Not only did I feel completely organized at all times, but I also felt like I had a friend and advocate throughout the whole wedding process. I always felt like Haley was looking out for my best interest and trying to find me the best quality for my money.” We love the stunning florals, gorgeously arranged by Jonie LaRosee at A Charleston Bride, that brought a little romance with its ole’ Southern home aura. There are so many details we love! See them all, beautifully captured by Ashley Seawell Photography, below! “I absolutely loved working with Ashley Seawell!” Kathryn says. “She was such an amazing photographer, and you never even knew she was there. She was incredibly laid back and easy to work with. She really put me and Matthew at ease, which further contributed to our natural, fresh pictures.”
