Catherine Schreiner (28 and sales director of BuddyLove showroom) and William Brand Daves (33 and with Barnard Insurance Group) met through mutual friends that had been trying to set them up for two years before they actually met. They knew from the beginning of their relationship that they were perfect for each other, and a year and a half later, Brand planned a romantic proposal at Crested Butte on New Years Eve. The couple had their wedding on the grounds of the bride's family ranch in Kerrville, Texas. The Schreiner family has been a large part of the history of Kerrville since the 1800s, so it was important for the bride Catherine to show her wedding guests that this history was not only to be acknowledged but to bless her commitment and her future with her husband Brand. "The ranch is who I am," says Catherine. "I wanted the ceremony to be at my grandfather's house where I spent many wonderful memories as a little girl, and Brand is an outdoorsman, so we knew that an outdoor, Hill Country wedding was right for us." The color palette was an elegant soft white and charcoal gray accented with shades of plum and berry. The ceremony took place at Catherine's grandfather's house on a lawn overlooking sweeping views of the Texas countryside. At the reception, the couple's family and friends could pose for fun photos with two of the Y.O. Ranch longhorns. From silks and cowhides to roses and antlers, the wedding was an elegant mixture of rustic textures and themes.

The bride wore a clean and modern mermaid style tulle dress with removable tulle straps. For the reception, Catherine added a silk belt with whimsical tulle flowers.
"I knew deep in my heart that the only place I could be married was at my family's ranch," says the bride. The groom is an outdoorsman and the couple knew that an outdoor, Hill Country wedding was right for them.
