Tradd Davidson, 28, an attorney, married Stephanie Faulk, 29, also an attorney, in an elegant wedding at The Phoenix Room in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The couple officially met at a friend's dinner while they were both in law school and started dating shortly after. "We learned to appreciate each other’s quirks and learned that it's fun to try new things together," they say. The bride and groom chose Newburyport, a quintessential New England town, as the location for their big day. "Knowing we would have lots of guests coming in from the Midwest for their first New England experience, we wanted a place with lots of local flavor, charm, and of course, lobster," they say. A color palette of navy and gold was incorporated into the decor and wedding party attire to achieve a classic and elegant look. Whites and soft grays were used in the romantic floral arrangements, which included anemones, dahlias, English garden roses, hydrangeas, seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller. Following the outdoor ceremony, guests were treated to appetizers such as mini crab cakes, ahi tuna wontons and fried mac and cheese bites at the cocktail hour and a sit-down dinner at the reception. "The best part of the reception was the fact that it was a serious dance party...hardly anyone sat down all night," the couple says.

Steph donned a classic ivory Vera Wang gown, which she accessorized with a beaded hairpiece from Twigs & Ivy and a veil from Flair Boston. She says she loved the old Hollywood classic glamour of the gown.

Steph, who wanted her bridesmaids to be able to wear their dresses again, chose the Zarita navy lace dress from Diane von Furstenberg. They completed their looks with gold shoes and gold knot Kate Spade necklaces.
Tradd wore a dark navy Ludlow suit from J. Crew with a striped navy and gold bow tie from The Tie Bar.
The groomsmen wore Brooks Brothers Shirts, J.Crew suiting trousers and skinny ties from The Tie Bar.

"Although it rained on the day, the site was still lovely and guests could enjoy watching the boats on the Merrimack River through the fog and mist," the couple says.
Boston-based folk guitarist Lindsay Straw provided the ceremony music. The bride walked down the aisle to Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl."
"For the ceremony, we knew we wanted it to be outside so that our beloved dog Huck could be the 'bling' bearer," the couple says.

"The space was classic and elegant, with amazing Federalist architectural details, clean lines, and an old-school wood paneled bar," says the couple.

For dinner, guests dined on lobsters with scallops and a citrus herb butter, served with garlic mashed potatoes and haricots verts. They also had another meal choice of steak with seasoned potatoes.
"We wanted something architectural and modern for the cake to contrast some of the more classic elements of the day, and we fell in love with the painted-gold design we found on Pinterest," the couple says. "The cake was a classic vanilla or champagne."
Instead of handing out traditional guest favors, the bride and groom set up a popcorn bar with vintage popcorn boxes from Etsy and various topping choices for guests to snack on at the end of the night.
