With bridesmaids ages of 13 to 40, it wasn’t exactly as straightforward as Sarah had expected. “With the wide age range, you get a wide range of body consciousness,” Sarah says. “I knew I wanted my girls to be able to choose their own style, but I had a hard time coming to a decision on a designer and a color.” After receiving a tip from a friend, Sarah settled on Joanna August, letting them select their own gowns in a shade of soft gray. “I thought that the beautiful light gray would pop against the green background of the farm without competing with it,” she says.
