Jumping the Broom Wedding Tradition

"Brandon and I decided to incorporate the African-American tradition of jumping the broom. In slavery times, African-Americans would jump the broom to solidify their marriage since they were not allowed to legally marry. The jump also signifies leaving your past behind and starting a new life together. We were so humbled to be able to honor our ancestors in such a meaningful way."
