Choosing a first-dance song was no easy feat for the laid-back pair, and they didn't decide until the morning of the wedding. “Nothing was really hitting the spot, and endless Google searches weren’t very helpful,” Lindsay says. “I threw on a record while we were freshening up that morning at home, and there it was, with just the right amount of groove and affection—‘Kissing My Love,’ by Bill Withers." To keep the long pauses that typically go with the mother-son and father-daughter dances, Lindsay and Jeff combined them into one song, “Deeper Than the Holler,” by Randy Travis. “We had a series of cut-ins that ended up with each set of parents coupled up, and Jeff and me dancing together,” Lindsay says.
