Ben and Abi first met on November 3rd, 2021 serving on the worship team at McLean Bible Church. They were only acquaintances until the following fall of 2022. (I believe this is the first picture of us? -Abi)

In October 2022, a group of friends from MBC (affectionately known as the “Tuesday Crew”) began hanging out weekly. This afforded Ben and Abi the chance to get to know each other outside of serving together on the worship team.

*Insert several months of quality time and friendship*

Fast forward to January 2023, Ben and Abi spent a weekend leading worship at MBC’s high school camp. They both (now admittedly) wanted to be more than friends, but Abi (being unsure of Ben’s feelings towards her) encouraged him to ask out another girl. Thankfully, he did not take her advice.

February 4th, 2023: Abi sneakily got an invite to a friends birthday party that she knew Ben was attending - thanks Lindsey ;)

More church events and flirting in the McDonald’s parking lot after said church events.

March 5th, 2023: Ben and Abi attended a Colony House concert together with friends. He called her on the way home and *finally* asked her on a date.

March 11th, 2023: The only picture from our first date (ft. the free cookie Abi got for getting a hole-in-one on the last mini golf hole).

Fun Fact: Ben has yet to beat Abi in a round of mini golf😊

April 18th, 2023: Ben asked Abi to be his girlfriend next to Abe Lincoln.
