Although Adalina was in California and Francisco was in Missouri due to his training with the Marine Corps, they remained long-distance but maintained a strong bond. On Valentine's Day, Francisco decided to make the first move and sent Adalina flowers. A few weeks later, on February 27th, during a late-night FaceTime call, Francisco asked Adalina to officially be his girlfriend, marking the start of their beautiful journey together.

They remained long-distance until Francisco returned to California, where they finally met in person for the first time on May 13th, 2022. To surprise her, Francisco drove Adalina to school that morning. The following day, they had their first official date at Adalina’s senior ball on the USS Hornet in Alameda, CA. They spent the night talking and enjoying each other’s presence, marking another unforgettable moment in their relationship.

On their first anniversary, Francisco gave Adalina a promise ring at the Pittsburg Marina, the place where they shared their first kiss. They continued to make memories with memorable dates, including seeing the Beetlejuice play, San Francisco Comic-Con, and attending Marine Corps Balls. They also traveled to Hawaii with Adalina’s family for their first trip together and shared their first New Year’s kiss in Las Vegas. For their second anniversary, they celebrated at Disneyland, and Francisco’s 21st birthday was spent in Las Vegas. Each experience has helped shape their beautiful journey together.
