Who knew stopping to take sunset pictures in Walmart parking lot would lead to this?

Josh saw us from across the parking lot struggling to set our phones up for that perfect picture. Josh knew me from being friends with my sister for many years, so he called out my name to ask if we needed help. I didn't know his name yet, but I recognized his face and gladly let him take our picture.

He invited me to come over to his house, and I was hesitant at first, but after talking over texts for a few days, I finally decided to come over. We had the best time and instantly became best friends. We were inseparable.

We bonded over our love for adventure and did everything together. We stayed best friends for almost a year before we finally became boyfriend and girlfriend.

Because we were only 16 and 18 when we met, we were able to experience everything together.

We were young and still learning how to love correctly, but we knew we wanted to learn and grow together. Our relationship was far from easy, but more than worth it!

Josh started working out of town when he turned 21, so we are no strangers to long distance. When he's only home on weekends, he always makes it count. Whether it be taking me to my favorite restaurant or letting me do some retail therapy, he always makes sure I'm happy and taken care of.

I couldn't be more grateful for the hardworking, kind, selfless man of God I've been blessed with.
