Navila's sister. Her rock. You can say that even though Nasiha is the younger sister, her maturity makes her seem like the older sister. You might even see this translated to her passion in education with the youth and being a fierce advocate who will do anything to ensure they get support. Nasiha is also a master of using humor to diffuse any situation, and you can find her cooking up delicious vegan meals and rocking out to My Chemical Romance.

15 years of friendship and practically being unofficial roommates across several cities for just as long, Chandni has always been Navila’s confidante. She’s someone who will literally drive 4 hours to see you AND make sure you both make a meal together. She's someone who will always show up for those she cares about. Chandni, not only exudes hardcore support energy, she’s also a badass physician hoping to change the lives of the most impacted.

Undergad to now, you can always find Navila & Gladys randomly beatboxing and rapping the most random made up lyrics anywhere. Their friendship of 15 years is one filled with laughter, tons of dancing, being goofy, and ultimately enjoying life to its fullest, especially when life get's tough & challenging. Gladys is someone whose presence is so contagious, that she can literally make friends anywhere and everywhere she goes. Her love for family, friends, and her faith is unmatched.

If there's one thing you need to know about Ann, it's that she has an incredible ability to calm down a situation & offer wisdom and advice that is always perfect for any moment. 15 years of friendship, & to this day Navila can always count on her to show up, be honest, and always put a smile on her face. Fun fact: during undergrad, you could find both Ann and Navila hanging out in the dorms playing guitar hero with all the students who didn’t visit home on the weekends.

There's never a moment you won't find Navila & Julie venting and raging about how awful the patriarchy & capitalism is. Not only have they created an online social justice hub, but their friendship of 12 years is deeply rooted in finding ways to feel human, bring life to humans, and expecting world leaders to do better and be better. Julie is not only an incredible advocate of gender based violence & immigration rights for undocumented people, she’s also a proud mom of 2 fierce & feisty toddlers.

Tina is Alexa’s cousin and childhood best friend. Growing up Alexa’s nickname was Mina. “Mina and Tina” were always together. They used to love talking on the phone with each other and their record longest conversation was 8 hours! Tina was also Alexa’s role model and unknowingly supported her to make the necessary steps for her career. To the first Dr. Phan in the family!

Fate brought them together at work and they have been friends since. Alexa loves how honest, open, supportive and sweet Kristina has always been. And how she loves animals so much she wants to adopt a senior, disabled dog or cries at the aquarium because the sharks are living in tanks. From chit chats at work to hangouts outside of work. It's always a blast hanging out with her. Alexa looks forward to growing this friendship.

Michael is Alexa’s brother. Alexa followed Michael’s footsteps in high school and joined the wrestling team where she was the only female. He is always there for her when she needs him. When they were younger, he literally physically fought off Alexa's bullies for her. Michael also saved her life at the Wave pool when she was drowning. Best brother award goes to him!

Brion taught Alexa the ropes when Alexa got into hiking/backpacking. They hiked the Appalachian Trail together, Alexa for 7 weeks, Brion for 1 week. After Brion left, Alexa got lost for 2 hours because Brion was navigating the entire time. She was hiking and crying (sad because she missed him) and apparently was lost until luckily somebody pointed her in the right direction.

Once Alexa started at her new job in Maryland, she met DeAngelo, the emergency medicine clinical pharmacist. He invited her to a dinner work party event and told her his crazy, adventurous stories. She invited him out that night with her friends and they became best friends ever since. If there’s a wild story, he’s in it.
