Ben and Allie both attended the University of San Diego. Funny enough, did not meet there. It took not one but two study abroad trips to Italy for these two love brids to meet, finally crossing paths in Rome, Italy during the fall of 2016. They were put up in the same apartment building and both took "The Popes of Rome" theology class. Their mutual friend and Allie's roommate, Jessica Helm, introduced them the first night where they were able to finally enjoy their first of many light hearted, joyful conversations on the long walk home from the bars on Campo dei Fiori to their building in Trastevere.

After a long awaited school-free summer in 2022, they were able to return to the Eternal City, the place where it all began. Retracing their steps along the cobblestone streets, they walked hand in hand, laughing and enjoying each other's company like they did back in 2016, but now with even more love and dreams of spending the rest of their lives together.
