Hello to our favorite people! We're so excited to celebrate with you all. It's almost time to become Mr.&Mrs.!
One August night a few years ago Allison and Jacob were invited to a fire by their best friends. Little did they know it was all a rouse to get the pair to meet. Neither Allison nor Jacob were opposed to meeting each other but their common sense told them that getting into a relationship just weeks before Jacob moving to the coast wasn't a good idea. After a few hours of awkward silence, the two finally began getting to know one another and quickly realized why their friends had been so persistent in setting them up. The connection was undeniable, and it was akin to finally coming home.
A few days later they went on their first date and the couple spent every day together for the next few weeks. All too soon Jacob left for college and despite the distance, they were prepared to keep seeing each other. Jacob's first weekend at college was spent at home with Allison swaying back and forth to a Chase Rice concert under the skyline. It was at this point Allison began to worry that Jacob wouldn’t come home again for another few weeks. Despite her fears and reservations every Friday afternoon Jacob climbed in his Jeep and made the four-hour journey home to see her.
A few short months (and a 16th birthday) later, Allison and Jacob walked hand in hand down the South End of Wrightsville Beach on Valentine’s Day laughing and writing love letters in the sand. They sat down on a bench to watch the sunset and Jacob told Allison that one day he was going to propose to her on that bench.
Another year goes by of driving and wishing for the weekend before Allison graduates and moves to Wilmington with Jacob to start college.
After two years later of living together and navigating life with one another Jacob asked Allison on a date again, like he does so often. After spending the morning with Jacob's parents and packing a picnic lunch, the couple set out to the South End of Wrightsville Beach. The car ride to the beach was filled with all the love songs, conversations, and promises that they had experienced so many times before. However, there was a tension in the air that typically never surrounded them.
Walking back to that same spot on Wrightsville Beach where Jacob had told Allison he was going to propose three years prior they found that their bench had been washed away. The pair simply smiled at how despite the turmoil that life can bring they ended up sitting in the same spot, hand in hand, regardless. Eating in awkward silence they hadn’t experienced since the first time they met, Jacob got down on one knee and asked Allison to marry him.
While this isn’t the end to their story, you have to RSVP yes to see this chapter of life come to an end and a new chapter begin.
We can’t wait to share our new beginning with you!
All the love,
