Dustin and Amber both attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, where they met in their freshman year. Their meeting was very brief, but left a lasting impression on Dustin’s mind.

Come to the age of dating apps in December 2018, both have ended up on Tinder and saw each other’s profile. Remembering the night they met years ago, both swiped right! After talking to each other daily for a few weeks, they decided to finally meet on River Street after work on February 01, 2019. They were both so nervous and caught up in just talking to each other that neither of them brought up getting food even though both were starving!

Flash forward to January 2020, and Dustin and Amber have moved into their first apartment! Just a few months later, they were both working from home which strengthened the relationship even more. March of 2022 brought them moving into their first home on their own land in Springfield, where they’ve been living with their two cats, Vesta and Bruna, since.

Come to January 2023, and a beautiful sunny day at Johnson Square in Savannah, Georgia, Dustin finally got (barely) down on one knee to ask Amber to marry him. In disbelief, Amber did shout out a “No!” to begin with, followed by a screamed “YES!!” and a lot of tears for both.

Looking forward to October 2024, where they ask friends and family to join when they finally say their “I do’s” in Springfield, Georgia.
