Picture of Our Story

Our story begins in May of 2019. I met Austin through mutual friends at his graduation. We knew each other before this but we were both dating other people. After meeting at his graduation we would hang out with mutual friends at parties. One day Austin Snapchatted me commenting on something I posted on my story. We started talking and getting to know each other as individuals without our other friends.

In the beginning, I wasn't looking for a relationship but he was so easy to talk to and I fell so fast. Him on the other hand heard from our friend Natalie that I thought he was cute and he should totally start talking to me. (shoutout to Natalie)

On July 9th, 2019 Austin asked me to be his girlfriend (He says I basically forced him). We had a date planned to go to the bowling alley and he had this really cheesy plan to basically fall on his face right when he was about to throw the ball I was supposed to go up to him to see if he was okay and he was going to ask then. So when he found out the bowling alley was closed he just asked me in his truck while we were driving around. (romantic I know).

We spent as much time as we could together after the summer as I was a senior and he was starting his first year at Northeast Community College. We got to know each other more and more and I found more reasons why I love him. We became a part of each other's families and took many family trips with them including Key West Florida, Colorado, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Fort Randal South Dakota Kansas City, and a camping trip to Ponca.

We found hobbies we loved to do together like attending beer fests in Omaha, skiing, boating, hammocking, going to the zoo, going to see any new scary movie that comes out, and of course hanging out with our friends and family. After about three years of dating, we purchased our first house in September of 2022. We kept ourselves busy with major renovations to the basement, Kitchen, and bedrooms. After a few months of being in the house I thought we needed something more. I begged Austin for months to let us get a dog and in June of 2023, we brought home our sweet Koda. She is an Australian Cattle dog and has so much energy we are constantly finding ways to tire her out. Life felt good, comfortable, and complete. Of course, I would ask occasionally for a ring and Austin would tell me to wait. After what felt like an eternity (four and a half years) Austin asked me to Marry him on January 6th, 2024 and here we are!
