In the middle of a year no one could have predicted, 2020, we found each other. He was living in Lafayette, and I was balancing life between work and dancing on Hawkline. Somehow, between all the chaos, he kept showing up and driving hours just to see me, even when our time together was short.

Funny enough, he and my brother were in the same fraternity, but that’s not how we met. Our paths crossed in their own way, at the perfect time.

Our first date? Let’s just say he really set the tone. He ended the date playing “Everywhere I Go” by Hollywood Undead—definitely not the song most girls dream of hearing on a first date, but it is something I have not forgotten.

From that day forward, he’s kept me on my toes. With his spontaneity, laughter, and endless support, life with him has been an adventure and the best one yet is just beginning.
