Getting to Steamboat
Steamboat Airport
Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN) is the closest airport to Steamboat Springs. From HDN airport you can either choose to rent a car or take a 40 minute shuttle to your hotel - both to be reserved in advance.
Denver Airport
Another option is flying into Denver International Airport and renting a car or reserving a shuttle. Steamboat Springs, Colorado is approximately 157 miles northwest of Denver or an easy 3 hour drive. Take I-70 West through the Eisenhower Tunnel to Silverthorne, Exit 205 (67 miles). At the exit, follow CO-9 North towards Kremmling (37 miles). In Kremmling, head west along US-40 to Steamboat Springs (53 miles).

Getting Around Town
There are a few Ubers in Steamboat in addition to other ways of getting around town if you are not renting a car.
Steamboat Free Bus
The easiest way to get around Steamboat is the free bus. There are stops at the base of the mountain, downtown, and near a lot of condos/hotels. Depending on where you are staying, the first bus of the day starts around 6:00 am and the last bus ends around 11:00 pm.
Lodging Shuttles
Check with your lodging provider because some provide free shuttle service with your stay.
We have a room block with the Steamboat Grand and they offer a complimentary on-demand shuttle service that runs downtown and to grocery stores from 11:00am to 10:45pm. First come, first served on an individual basis.
Where to stay in Steamboat
There are many hotels and homes to rent in Steamboat. The list below reflects several options around the base of the mountain where the wedding will take place. Feel free to branch out of this area for places today! There are a couple of Ubers in town, but the free shuttle is a great way to get around. Check if your lodging is near a bus stop or provides transportation if you are not renting a car.

Please note that the cutoff date for making reservations is 4/20/25. After this date, any unbooked rooms will be released back into the hotel's general inventory, and guests will be able to book based on the remaining availability.
Steamboat Grand
Also located at the base, the Steamboat Grand is one of the town's iconic hotels offering amenities such as a pool, fitness center and a shuttle service that runs downtown and to grocery stores daily from 11:00am to 10:45pm. The room block includes a discounted rate of 20% off a night for a 2-3 night stay and a 25% discount for 4+ nights.

Weather
The average temperature in Steamboat Springs in June ranges from a high of 72°F to a low of 40°F. We would describe the temperature to be mildly cool. Please consider bringing a warm layer at night.
Attire
Please refer to the Home page for specific dress code details for each event. Western attire is warmly welcomed at all events!
We do recommend bringing an extra layer for any night time events as it gets chilly when the sunsets.
Important Note for Ladies:
For the wedding ceremony and reception, kindly avoid wearing pointed heel shoes due to grates in the gondola's unloading area.
