We met freshman year of college in Norman at the University of Oklahoma. At the time, neither of us had much interest in dating anyone, but it quickly became clear that this was something different. For hours we’d just sit and talk with seemingly no end and it wasn’t long before Danny finally asked for an official first date (on Valentine’s Day no less). After that we were inseparable, forming a strong relationship built on lots of laughter and love.

In the 5 and a half years since then, we have shared countless memories together. We have traveled from California to Florida, driven thousands of miles between Iowa and Texas, and were fortunate enough to spend a month in Italy studying abroad in June 2018. We both graduated from the University of Oklahoma in May 2019 and moved to Texas afterwards.

Danny proposed on May 14, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma at the same school where we first met and fell in love. On a walk through campus Danny took me to the rose garden where he got down on one knee. Danny's brothers Matt and Jake were there with their cameras ready to capture the moment for us. Following the proposal Danny had arranged for both of our families to be waiting at Ellie’s brother’s house near campus for a big celebration. The day was perfect and made extra special by being able to celebrate with loved ones. We’ve spent an amazing 5 and a half years together and we look forward to what the future has in store for us.
