Our story started in 2018. I was a student at the college, and he was coming to the college to play basketball. We had a similar friend group, and would occasionally hang out with them. One day, I played a song that none of our friends knew, except for Zach. After that day, we would find ourselves sharing songs with each other, every time our friend groups got together. I remember always having a song picked out for the next time I saw him. (and he must have done the same lol) After a couple of weeks, he finally asked me on a date. We went to see "The Grinch" in theaters. He then asked me to be his girlfriend on January 25th, 2019. I brought him to my childhood Church, and he eventually became a member. Through all the basketball games, graduations, family trips, concerts, cross-fit competitions, etc. We have been each others best friend.

Almost 5 years later, he pulled off one of the best surprises. Through lots of planning from Zach, some friends, and family, it couldn't have gone better. My cousin, Molly had called a couple of weeks prior to ask if I would take pictures with her to help her start her new boutique. We have talked about this numerous times, so I wasn’t suspicious at all. The plan was to go early that day because Georgia had a game that evening. (If you know us, then no events happen during a Georgia game, Why do you think our wedding is in May??? lol). She came over and we got ready together. Her friend met us to take pictures on Jekyll. Once we got there her and Zach were texting. (Still did not know what was going on.) Where they had planned to meet, a wedding was taking place so they had a change of plans. Molly and I started taking some pictures, while Zach was hiding behind a tree. After a couple of pictures, Zach walks up and pulls me aside. (He was trying to get where our families could see.) He got down on one knee and popped the question, with the ring in his hand. I said YES!! After that, all of the family came down to congratulate us, and show some love. He and Molly then pulled off the second surprise with the most beautiful engagement party. It was such a fun day filled with so much love and celebration. <3
