Eli and Kate met at UNH their Freshman year of college through a mutual friend. They were both really shy and did not spend a lot of time talking to each other but gradually started speaking to each other more as the year went on. Eli and Kate visited New Jersey to see their mutual friend Maddie and explored the city together and got closer. A few weeks later Kate decided to make the big jump and drive to New Hampshire all by herself to go see Eli. Eli and Kate spent the week together, just the two of them really learning more about each other. When it was time for their Sophomore year of college Kate and Eli began dating their first date took place at a bowling alley where Kate beat Eli. Kate and Eli have gone on a lot of adventures since they have been together. Eli had the opportunity to meet Kate's extended family in Croatia they also got the chance to travel to Budapest. They also have gone on many domestic trips since they have been together including road trips to Chicago, Florida, and once throughout California. When Kate and Eli graduated they moved in together in the city of Dover next to UNH where they met where Eli entered the workforce and Kate became a student teacher while completing her Masters. Eli continues to work with the same company and Kate graduated from her Masters and has a job teaching special education. In March of 2023 Eli asked Suzana and Dinko, Kate's parents if he could ask Kate to Marry him. Eli and Suzana planned the perfect proposal, where Eli asked Kate for her hand in marriage overlooking the fountain in Central Park.
