Remember March of 2020? The beginning of what seemed like the end. When people had a max of four people per social bubble, when toilet paper was the hot commodity item, when any box that came delivered to the house had to be disinfected and wiped down clean?
THIS is the time when Joshua and Lizzy met, brace yourselves, VIA HINGE. Some would have called it unfortunate. But really, it was a blessing in and of itself.
As you can only imagine, after four weeks of video dates, long phone calls, and thousands upon thousands of messages- the desire to break the rules and finally meet each other in person during a pandemic heightened quickly. We gave in. Obviously.
Eventually our bubbles intertwined, and the lockdown only seemed to intensify our fondness for each other. 24/7 was more than okay for us. We hiked, we sailed, we camped- we did it all. And that’s what made our relationship seem so natural—so early on, we realised how happy we were being around each other all the time. At a time when the whole world seemed to halt, we thrived. And here we are: happier, stronger, and continuing to grow and thrive together as almost newly weds <3!
