Alana & Liz met at York College playing on the same rugby team. They started dating the beginning of Liz's senior year & Alana's junior year. On Christmas night 2012 after sitting around the table eating dinner Liz realized just how lucky she was to have Alana & that night tried to ask her to officially be her girlfriend. The truth is that she was too nervous & Alana ended up asking!

After Liz graduated she headed down to Miami & they dated long distance as Alana finished her degree. After that they packed up her Mini Cooper to the brim & drove south to their first apartment together. Not too soon after that they adopted 2 fluffy, orange cats - Todd & Copper named after the Fox & the Hound. Why two you may ask - well, who can turn down a BOGO?

A year later they moved back to home base in New Jersey. Not long after that they made the daring decision to move to Colorado. They spent 3 years there adventuring through the Midwest on weekends & breaks. Some of their favorite memories being a 10 day camping trip through UT, CO & AZ seeing the Grand Canyon, an Easter spent being the only tourists at Mt. Rushmore, adopting their rescue pup Rory and driving the highest road in the USA the top of Mount Evans.

One of the most special moments was when on a trip to Las Vegas with some of their best friends, Liz proposed to Alana. The original plan went awry, but the Red Rocks National Park seemed like the perfect place. Alana was shocked & didn't hesitate before saying YES!

After leaving CO they chose to pursue their dream of traveling through the United States. After spending a summer in California, they spent three months visiting some of the most beautiful treasures of the US. Highlights included seeing two baby coyotes play in Yellowstone, driving through the Redwood Forest & the black sand beaches of Oregon.

After returning back to New Jersey Liz & Alana spent the next few years pursuing new careers & spending time with family & friends they had missed very much. As we all know the last few years have been a challenge to say the least, but it helped them create a stronger bond & appreciation for each other (also only a true love could make it through being stuck inside for that many hours together, right!?)

Now, they are looking forward to celebrating their ten year relationship & love for each other with the people they love most. They can't wait!
