Pittsburgh has become our home as a couple, and we are so excited to have you here. We hope that your visit allows for time to do some exploring. Below are some of our favorite attractions to visit. You'll find a mix of museums, scenic spots, and dining experiences.
The Strip District is one of our favorite destinations in Pittsburgh, and so it's only fitting that we would celebrate our marriage here. The venue we have chosen is right in the heart of the Strip. We hope that you will spend some time noodling around this part of town while you are here!
There are two main drags to the Strip District. The original Strip runs along Penn Ave, between 16th St and 27th St. This section is full of historic grocers, restaurants, delis, and specialty goods shops. You'll also find an abundance of street vendors selling Pittsburgh gear.
The second main area of the Strip District is on Smallman Street, parallel to the original section on Penn Ave. Smallman Street features newer coffee shops, bars, and a very cool indoor market that was recently renovated from an old auction warehouse.
Below is the information for the market on Smallman, but we hope you will also check out Penn Ave. Some of our favorite shops to visit are:
This recently renovated indoor market features an Asian food court, multiple restaurants, an indoor VR arcade, and indoor mini-golf.
This is the iconic park at the point of Pittsburgh, where the two rivers (Allegheny and Monongahela) meet to form one (the mighty Ohio River). This is a beautiful spot to visit, and also many walking paths in Pittsburgh begin and end here.
Phipps Conservatory is a highlight for any nature lovers. Most exhibits are inside the antique glass houses, so it's a great spot to visit regardless of the weather.
The Carnegie Museums are a two-for-one deal, as the Museum of Natural History and Museum of Art are connected. Admission grants you access to both of these world-renowned museums.
If you want to see Pittsburgh from its best vantage point, come to the top of Mt. Washington. You'll see the point and the three rivers in all their glory!
Taking the incline up to the top of Mt. Washington is an iconic Pittsburgh activity.
The North Shore is a fun area to explore, and Federal Galley is one of the highlights. This is an indoor/outdoor food court that acts as an incubator for restaurants looking to get their start in the city.
Any art fans should absolutely make time to visit the Warhol museum. This fantastic, 5-story museum features an indepth look at Warhol's life growing up in Pittsburgh, and also rotating exhibits on fellow contemporaries of Warhol who affected one another.
