One weekend Ellen's lifelong friend, Kalen, was wanting to surprise her now husband, Dylan with his college friends for his birthday weekend in September of 2021. She asked Ellen to help pull off the surprise and to get them from the apartment lobby. When Ellen went down, she found Aaron and Jim waiting to be let in.

That weekend was a blast for everyone involved and when Sunday came, we found ourselves wondering when we would see each other again.

We stayed in touch and officially had our first weekend together that October where we tailgated and went to a Husker game. We knew right away that this was just the beginning for us together.

We spent nearly every weekend traveling between Sioux Falls and Omaha until July of 2023 when we officially moved into our first home together in Omaha.

We got engaged on December 8, 2023 under Christmas lights in downtown Omaha. Aaron pulled off quite the surprise with a little help from his family.

We quickly set a date and are so excited to celebrate with you in October!
