A few years ago, Emily moved to Wisconsin from Minnesota to take a preschool teaching job in Madison. Once settled, she decided to give online dating a try, and was lucky enough to get an email one day soon after from Robbie. Sparks flew at the first "meet and greet," and the two of them continued to see each other slowly over the next few months. As their friendship progressed, the two began to connect over a wide variety of shared interests, a similar sense of humor, and mutual love for Emily's dog, Max. It was apparent the two of them were two peas in a pod, and they've been together ever since.
In August, Robbie and Emily planned a vacation to northern Minnesota. They rented a cabin on Lake Superior, and during a morning walk to a nearby agate beach, Robbie asked Emily to marry him, and she of course said yes! It was the easiest question she's ever been asked, and they can't wait to celebrate their upcoming wedding on September 22, 2018.
We will be getting married in a small ceremony with immediate family and friends at Robbie's parents house. We hope everyone will join us after for a reception filled with tacos, cheesecake, and dancing !
Wedding attire: Garden party. Our reception will be held under a tent, so dress according to the weather! We want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible.
Please note: In order to allow all guests, even parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
Becca is Emily's little sister/auntie to Max. Emily is lucky enough to not only call Becca her sister, but best friend as well, and is so honored to have her as maid of honor.
Fun Fact: Becca can beat online solitaire in 42 seconds!
