Despite both growing up in New Jersey (and having parents who grew up a mile away from each other), Ben & Emily met in Nashville while at business school at Vanderbilt.

It was fall of 2019 during Emily's 2nd Year and Ben's 1st Year when they first met at a bar called Kung Fu after one of Vandy's Closing Bell Happy Hours. An introduction came as they were both from New Jersey. Ben & Emily were quickly won over by the ease of conversation and instant connection they felt. Looking back at that night - Emily & Ben are grateful for Brenna and Quigs who stayed out late with them to avoid awkwardness and keep the conversation going.

They didn't have to wait long to cross paths again. The following weekend, Emily was at her friend/classmate Connor's birthday party when Ben showed up. Ben & Connor had become recent friends as they were both Clemson alumni and College Football season was upon them. That was the first of many looked-forward to run ins.

From locking down together during covid in Nashville, to living in Jane & Bob's basement in NJ and moving all the way to Austin for the past two years, they are still very much in love.
