A love story that started on a summer night, in a garage. JD and Emily first met each other through a party they were both attending, eventually meeting and dancing the night away. After that night, their moms knew that this could turn into something special. Emily was moving to Northern Kentucky a month later for a job, and JD was staying in Maysville. Knowing this, the two still continued to hang out, get to know each other, and explored the connection that they had. When Emily moved to Northern Kentucky, JD drove the moving truck, helped her move in, and have been inseparable ever since. On August 8, 2021, the two made their relationship official, and went to their first of many Reds game together. Many weekend visits between Emily’s apartment and JD’s house grew their relationship even stronger, even when they were an hour apart. In the summer of 2023, JD and Emily moved into their first home together, grew their family by four paws (Kobe!) and began to build their life. Through many movie nights, golf courses explored, restaurants tried, late night drives through neighborhoods they only dreamed of living in, they were as happy as they could be. February 15, JD popped the question, and they celebrated with a nice steak dinner, followed by a surprise engagement party, surrounded by the ones they love. We are so excited to continue building our story as husband and wife, and are grateful for everyone who has been part of that story!
